im gonna cry. i am visiting this when i get home tonight. immediately. i know what im doing with my island when i restart it now
welcome to Sundrop, a Disney's Tangled inspired island ✧・゚: *✧・゚:*
DA-9633-8323-5889
the kingdom is celebrating the long-lost princess' birthday and the king and queen invite you to join them in releasing lanterns in the sky tonight in hopes that their beloved daughter, Rapunzel, will return.
but first, adventure through the forest where many secrets lay hidden; whether it be the healing flower whose power lies within a single drop of sunlight, a terrifying tavern filled with (dreaming) ruffians and thugs, or even a mysterious tower, perhaps, tucked deep within its woods. though, I wonder who might reside in it...
✧・゚: * extra info to know before you dream below!
there is a present for you at the entrance!
flynn's house (aka the snuggly duckling) is the only decorated--and accessible--house
pretend nook's does not exist, i hid it away on a beach that you cannot access
speaking of beaches, don't try to go on any beaches--you won't be able to
no ladder needed! there are vines and ladder kits on cliffs for you to make your way around the island & castle town!
i recommend going to the left side of the island, or the forest, first before heading to the right side in order for the lanterns to shine as bright as they can when night truly hits the island & castle town area!
in fact, if you really want to see the lanterns at their best (like in the above pictures), you could wait/put switch in sleep mode (lol) until it gets dark. this is only because it takes some time for it to get dark & i wanted enough light for you to see rapunzel's tower while it was still lighter out beforehand hehe; this would probably be about 20-30 minutes
and lastly, definitely use the camera trick to get the most out of the several lookout points on the island :)
have fun & i hope you enjoy!! <3
this week has been suuuuper busy, with auditions, casting the show, a football game, a band competition, etc. but today we're gonna like debrief and be productive in a fun, homey sense.
The intimacy of “How did you know that?”
“because I know you.”
tbh I love that Sublime exists.
I'm not familiar enough with her character yet to know how much I like her herself (though I think she had a solid introduction! I like her so far!) but mostly I love the role that she is filling. I love the disability representation, I love that Adrien made a new friend that he silently goes on runs with and shares classes w that he doesn't share with Marinette, I love that Marinette has someone that she can feel threatened by in her relationship, I love seeing Marinette navigate her jealous feelings but with all the character development that came before it (she has learned that hating someone due to jealousy is bad and that she can't judge someone solely for being close to Adrien. She's doing what she wishes she'd done with Kagami to begin with — try to be her friend — but all the while she's struggling with the fact she still feels jealous, even if she won't admit it. That's good character development! Marinette can't turn off her feelings, but she can react to her feelings in different ways! That's what she's doing!). It's nice to have a "love rival" (sort of) who isn't an antagonist (like chloe and lila were) other than kagami (who is now taken and poses no threat). It's nice for Adrien to have a friend that he made on his own! She's basically re-filling the role that Kagami left behind, which is great imo, because it was an important role! Also, I'm so curious to see whatever is going on with her involvement with Tomoe. And I love that she's there to flesh out their new school! The show is kind of starved for civilian characters atm asfhasjklsaj

THIS. FILLER IS GREAT. DON'T LET ANYONE TELL YOU IT'S NOT.
when reminiscing on old tv shows we tend to go: "OMG do you remember that one episode where *hyper-specific weird fun thing happened*?? i LOVED that episode!!" "OMG me too!! but what about the episode where *they just go on little hijinks and it's so fun and silly*? that was my favorite one!" and sometimes you HAVEN'T seen the episodes they bring up because you never got to watch that episode because it never aired when you were watching
you can't do that anymore because everything is on streaming and not only do we get way less episodes that are jam-packed with action and important details, but everyone has seen everything because if you're watching a show, you're never missing or skipping an episode you're binging it and watching in order every time.
genuinely one of the worst things that’s happened to television in the last few years (exacerbated by streaming services) is death of Filler. going from 20 episodes to 8 because “we didn’t really need that episode where the main characters went to the beach right? it had no long lasting effect” but we DID!!! we needed to see how they act without the Big Bad Plot and to establish the dynamics between the characters and lay in the sun (do they forget sunscreen? how do they react to a thieving seagull? do they get buried in the sand or do they do the burying?). the plot isn’t everything. the action doesn’t hit as hard without the quiet moments. give us character development and our little scenes back
two things I hate:
finishing a show from the middle of a season
& forgetting what happened or if i even watched the episodes
hi! i post about my favorite media but there's too many to list...you'll catch on :)
