Alright! So I finished hand binding Crimson Rivers by @mayzarbewithyou :) this was my first time bookbinding so excuse the mistakes I am far from great, but all in good time! This fic basically changed the trajectory of my life so I thought I’d give it the love it deserves! the spine is regulus standing looking up at the tree and he is purposely put on the last book because he finally learned how to climb and grow. I’m so emotional over the end of the fic so this is very emotional to me. I did the typeset myself and there are some cool details I’ll try to put in another post, but basically I added all of Zar’s end notes as footnotes to the specific scenes he talks about! All very fun and the dingbats match the theme for the books and the backs each have quotes the correspond. I split it into 5 just because it didn’t feel right to have the epilogues in the same book as the war. They were two completely different parts of the story so I separated them. Anyways I’ll make another post. This was a labor of love and I hope I did it Justice :)

i’m rereading rwrb for obvious reasons, and i just got to the part where henry is  telling alex about how remus is ‘as gay as the day is long’. we also know how skilled of a writer he is, and all i can think of right now is fourteen to fifteen year old prince henry writing wolfstar fanfiction and hiding it from everyone

I’m such a sucker for a slowly developed drarry relationship.

They don’t do the whole “let’s go on dates and gradually get together.” Instead, they get roomed together and after being furious about it for a while, they get used to it.

It just hits Harry one day that Draco makes his bed with a flick of his wand every morning, because Harry always forgets.

It hits Draco one day that Harry always brings him sandwiches when he misses dinner because he’s studying or too overwhelmed to go.

Harry realizes that he hasn’t been waking up from nightmares as often because Draco has started patting his hair when he’s going through it in the middle of the night.

Draco realizes that he and Harry just randomly started sharing the box of chocolates and sweets Mother sends him and without knowing he started placing the box on his desk so Harry could find it easily if he ever wanted one.

And then one day Harry walks into their dorm drunk off his arse and collapses on Draco’s bed instead of his and knocks out. Draco, much to his own horror, finds that he doesn’t mind and falls as sleep as well.

Harry never sleeps again in his own bed.

And then Draco wears Harry’s muggle band tee to bed when the house elves misplace his laundry one night… which yes… it’s a bit short for him, but “it’s comfortable, Potter.” “But Malfoy, they already found your clothes.” “I said it’s comfortable.” (And it smells like you, too… he doesn’t say that though).

And it just becomes natural to sit next to each other in the common room and do their work, or go watch the stars when they both can’t sleep.

They hold hands absentmindedly now, when they’re both working and focused on their essays. At some point boundaries at bed time are lost and tentative legs tangle beneath the sheets.

Hermione questions him about it, Harry pretends he doesn’t know what she’s talking about. Too scared to question it and lose what he has. Too scared Malfoy will push him away.

(It’s okay though, because one day during the Christmas hols, Draco kisses him after the unwraps his gift and Harry kisses back, just as fiercely).

So High School! Chapter Three!

“Ready to go now?”

James hears Regulus laugh softly, “Not quite yet, mon chéri.”

He can practically see Harry’s pout, “When?”

“Just give us twenty minutes,” Regulus replies, even if Harry hasn’t quite managed to work out what exactly time means yet. He’s been asking if they’re ready to go for hours, and still comes back every few minutes acting like hours have passed. This always happens when they plan to go over for the monthly Black family dinner. They’ve been good about hiding it from him and surprising him when the day comes around. Someone, Sirius, told him it was today though when asked. Sirius shot them a knowing smirk as he left. He did this on purpose. Surely to fuck with Regulus, but James isn’t sure which one of them is suffering more.

James feels a tug on the back of his shirt and he’s not even surprised. When he turns around Harry’s standing right at his heel, his eyes wide, “Leave now?”

James shakes his head, biting back his laughter as he lifts him onto the kitchen counter, “Didn’t you just ask Papa the same question?”

Harry pauses in consideration for a moment before he says, “Papa says we leave now.”

“Oh did he?” James asks.
