yes some of the dialogue was awkward and there was a few plot holes but it was still GOOD, it had a unique animation style that stuck to the source material the story actually felt like it would fit in Minecraft!!!!

Also I don't think he feels any healthy way about Ford in the book either. He calls him his "property" and even if he does care about Ford, I doubt it's in any sort of healthy way. (I think he was exaggerating or somehow changing the details of his time at O'Sadley's or wherever it was). Which really wasn't your point, I'm just saying lol.

(Ps. I know in the show he doesn’t feel any sort of healthy way towards ford, but in the book of bill it is very clear that he is lying to himself about how he feels. ALSO it is important to know that he just feels sorry FOR HIMSELF after the fact because HE didn’t get what HE wanted. This ship is mainly based on theoretical stuff (imo))
