I'm extremely disappointed in Natlan.
Genshin was always my comfort game, and I had some criticism for Fontaine, as there were some aspects I felt immersion breaking, but in general I loved that region. Natlan... exploration wise and looks wise it's nice. Atmosphere wise it retained that Genshin light-heartedness. But the exploration is a bit clunky, and I feel like there's so little content. Like a huge area only has one or two chests, there are barely any world quests.
Story wise... It's not bad, I don't want to say that, but I feel like lot of the established world-building and lore was ignored. They made Mavuika human, and the pyro archon human in general which goes against the whole humanity vs divinity theme. Sure I think the manga said that vision holders can ascend, but it was never mentioned ever in game, and it's clearly not the case with Mavuika. Not to mention, first came Raiden who knew nothing about Celestia and Khaenri'ah, then came Nahida who also didn't know anything, then Furina who was also clueless. In the beginning of the game it was established that Venti and Zhongli are the only original archons, and that Nahida is the youngest. And then Mavuika comes along who's human.
Character wise.... Where are the men? Like I know that the Western fandoms doesn't get this, but male characters in gacha games are the female fanservice. Like the whole female dominance isn't because it's a girlpower game, it's because it's a waifu collector game. If you look a bit deeper you'll find men refusing to play with male characters (also getting mad that they exist), and they always sell worse. Which I'm not saying it's a bad thing, like pull for who you want. I pull for plenty of women. But male characters are the sign that the game tries to cater towards women.
The designs. Like colourism aside... It's more about immersion break. Mualani is fine. Kinich outfit wise is fine, his pixel aesthetic not so much. It's hella immersion breaking, but because it's only an effect, it doesn't disturb as much me. Kachina's little driller? Completely fine other than being clunky. Her outfit? She came out of those 1980's athletic programs. Xilonen? Someone from the 2020. She looks so out of place as soon as you leave Natlan. Her rollerblades are also pretty immersion breaking, but not as much as her DJ set, which is outright futuristic. Ororon I think it's fine, sure he has jeans, but he doesn't look like someone you can meet on the streets. Citlali other than her hifi headpeaces is also cute. Chasca is laughable, both how out of place she looks, and her stupid flying revolver. Like that's a gimmick. A gimmick that is okay in HSR, in Genshin it's just stupid. Finally, Mavuika and her motorcycle. We're still waiting for horses in Mondstadt while Mavuika is speeding on her motorcycle. I don't give a fuck if it's the dragon technology, why is Mondstadt stuck in the middle ages and Natlan is in 2020? Also dragons/vishaps are supposed to be a secret that a whole god was executed for knowing. But suddenly a whole nations know about it and it's fine?
Finally, a bit of leaks, so skip this if you don't want to see it. Also not really doomposting, we still have a lot of left until the new patch, but...
But yes sure make another main DPS next to 6 5 stars and 5 4 star pyro DPS. We definitely don't need someone who is at least a sidegrade to Xiangling, so A we can finally have someone who doesn't need 300 ER, B isn't glued to Bennett taking up two spaces on a team instantly, C is an actually interesting character and D you can put them into different teams in the Spiral Abyss.
Never forget asexuals. asexuals highkey cool. If youre ace youre valid

ERASE the idea that America saved lives by dropping two atomic bombs on Japan from your minds. ERASE the idea that it was anything more than a political move to scare Russia and also to satiate US curiosity as to the true ability of nuclear weapons. Nagasaki and Hiroshima were not military bases. They were heavily populated civilian cities chosen precisely bc the U.S. wanted to see how many people an atomic bomb could kill in one go. Japan was on the verge of surrendering, the U.S. literally wanted to test out their nuclear weapons on people that they deemed disposable. That is it. If those bombs were dropped by any nation other than the US veryone involved would have been tried as war criminals.
