Hellhounds are a rather new species of hidden but they did not come after wolves, they have been around since the 2 million years ago way before the ice age. However their social behavior is not way off from the average wolf, as they can co-exist and even form packs.[ they do not always rely on a giga hidden for protection.]
They have an extra set of jaws and are much larger than the average hound. [ if they shape shift into a wolf, they are still much larger often times mistaken for a dire wolf by wanderers. ]
The way you can differ them from a pack, is their size and blue eyes. [ as wolves cannot, or will have blue eyes in the real world 👍 Sorry to ruin your dreams .] as hidden hellhounds have only blue, red or dark [nearly black] eyes.
