One of my biggest fandom pet peeves is in (scully) abduction arc fics when people say how long she gone and its wrong. She was canonically missing for four weeks. 1 month. Not 3 or 5 or whatever else. Its said multiple times and it on the wiki and tbh im not sure why this pisses me off so bad sorry guys i had to let that out

Okay so people did see it:

BASICALLY red-green color blind means you either see red as green or green as red, which we all know right? (I had to learn extensively about this in my biology class, because what is biology class if not a way to help me understand the x-files) obviously, this never changes, it cant just flip one day, and yet fox mulder is continuously shown to be able to tell the difference between red human blood and green “alien blood” this is shown in the erlenmeyer flask, colony, and nisei just to name a few examples. So clearly Mulder is not red-green color blind, right, the writers messed up, so the real question is what is the canon explanation.

I have two: either mulder was so out of his mind with worry for scully that he needed to ask the gunmen about that theory and just says that cuz its the first thing that pops into his head

He fell asleep while he was supposed to be watching the tapes and didn’t want them to know ig

Anyway I wrote a wetwired fanfic if Mulder wasn’t “colorblind” because i feel very passionately about it

I feel like if ellen (the mother of Scully’s godson s1e5 Jersey Devil, obviously a close friend who encourages her to go after Mulder literally in the FIFTH episode) had been in the series more, or Melissa for that matter, either Mulder and Scully’s relationship would’ve progressed 10x more quickly or we would’ve at least gotten a few “yeah i was telling ellen about y- about this case we’re working on.”

Or better yet Mulder greets Missy (if they hadn’t met for the first time during abduction arc) with “i’ve heard a lot about you” and Missy gives him the you’re-not-good-enough-for-my-baby-sister stare and responds with “Really? Because Dana’s told me absolutely nothing about you (lie).”

Just saying Scully needed more friends, Mulder got the gun men and Scully got be the only consistent female character for at least five season
