Then Luke later betraying Percy in the very same woods and hurting him with the same sword as the lighting shifts to this ominous dark purple

i could write an essay on how the writers use lighting as a method of storytelling

I need an Eliot hug right now.

I need Hardison to put his hand on my shoulder and give it a reassuring squeeze and a silly joke.

I need Parker to threaten bodily harm and have everyone chastise her for it.

I need a day with Sophie drinking tea.

I need a night sitting next to Nate as he listens to my problem.

I need a day where I play video games with Breanna and Harry.

I just- I need a day where it doesn't feel like I'm getting fired for doing my job.

I’m crying 😭😭 he trusts them so fucking much

Watching The Corkscrew Job and just ...

Eliot trusting Parker and Hardison enough to go into a situation where he's about to have no oxygen. He would hear over the comms that they're facing down henchmen who are trying to stop them. He doesn't know how long it'll take for them to get air flow happening again.

But there's an innocent person to protect and he has faith in his partners. Faith enough to willingly risk his life time and time again - not just in this instance, but all the others we see over the course of the show. Because Eliot knows that Parker and Hardison will do whatever it takes to protect him, just as he protects them.

There's just something so profound about not even having enough air to draw breath - but it doesn't matter, because you know your partners are out there, fighting to get that next breath to you. And it might take longer than expected. It might not go smoothly, hell, it might not even work at all. But it doesn't matter because your faith in these people is greater than the instincts screaming for oxygen.

Eliot can't breathe without them. But he's used to that - he's been living this way for years already. So he holds his breath and trusts.

ohhhh everyone at portland row has the same amount of hatred for themselves and they love each other so much and they would happily die if it means the other two would live and they each hate themselves so much but they refuse to watch the others fall into that state of casual suicide/ spiral of self-deprication and they each pull the other up from the void constantly because they are each other home and they all love each other so much and i'm going to c r y thinking about them. they're child soldiers hating themselves for actions they have no control over but the others look at them and say "on purpose!!! i am going to love you on purpose!!!!" they live in a society who doesn't care if they live or die, so they've made one for themselves in portland row where they take tea before every session and the others come running when something bad happens to the others because the care and they love so passionately and so wholly and so consistently and when george and lucy thought they were going to die, the first thing that they thought to do was apologize to each other. and it doesn't matter if lucy and lockwood do love each other because that's not what portland row was built on. when lockwood was a kid, it was built on his parents love (for their work and for their children), and it was built on his sister's love. and now lockwood is the last of his name but not really because, isn't everyone in portland row a lockwood, and a karim, and a carlyle? it doesn't matter what sort of love fills portland row, as long as it's true and honest and whole. love is.

I absolutely adore the clothes that Lucy wears. Just because there’s isn’t a huge range (which would be weird if there’s was since she came to London with a single bag) and also they’re unique to her style. She has a thick jacket for when she goes to cases (since they do get very cold) but also comfy clothes for hanging about the house. I also love the dress she wore to the ball as it felt like something a teenager would pick out. It’s suitable for the ball but it isn’t some massive ball gown or mini dress. It looks like something she could afford and would want to wear. There’s also no stupid sexualisation that sometimes comes with these types of shows where her practical outfit for missions may be on the tight side. It’s just clothes for a teenager that’s so clearly her style. Also practically all of the outfits are blue which I love. A small detail like a characters favourite colour being in their clothes just really helps to flesh out the show.

I also love the use of clothes when it comes to Lockwood. It’s so clearly his armour so when we see him without it it’s almost jarring how much more vulnerable and younger he looks. ALSO DONT GET ME STARTED ON THAT LOCKWOOD WORE PINK SOCKS FOR MOST EPISODES BUT WHEN THEY WENT TO THE BALL HE WORE BLUE ONES TO MATCH LUCYS DRESS😭😭. I just love the small attention to details

Please!!

Friends. If you do nothing else this week, please. Please stream Lockwood and Co as much as you can. The completed viewing hours matter so much and this story deserves a season two. The fandom has grown exponentially in the last three weeks, people are loving the show and finding the books. It has more than earned that renewal but Netflix needs the numbers to authorize it.

Let’s give them no choice.

I think my favorite thing about The Old Guard is that, as weird as it sounds, all the immortals have human limits. Like, yeah, they can’t die and they heal hella fast, but the writers didn’t inexplicably translate that into them having superhuman speed or strength or agility like I’ve seen in many other superhero media.

I Think My Favorite Thing About The Old Guard Is That, As Weird As It Sounds, All The Immortals Have

They get tired. I’ve honestly never seen so much sleeping in an action movie.

I Think My Favorite Thing About The Old Guard Is That, As Weird As It Sounds, All The Immortals Have

And they can be restrained with zip ties and buckles and held down by normal-ass dudes and get the shit beat out of them because of course they can.

I Think My Favorite Thing About The Old Guard Is That, As Weird As It Sounds, All The Immortals Have

When they’re injured, they act like it. Even if its just for a few seconds. They moan and groan and limp and wince and never try to pull any of that dumb macho “I’m used to it” bullshit. Pain fucking hurts no matter how many times you experience it and this movie expresses that beautifully. Immortal doesn’t mean invincible.

Your honour I LOVE THEM

The deleted towel scene from the show won’t leave my head

it’s just so…Them

Lucy, standing there awkwardly, in a towel, in a house she moved into a week ago, in front of two strange teenage boys she met a week ago, staring at her boss who is wearing actual pajamas and not just the pants like the last time she saw him in his pjs, and she’s SINCERELY telling him ‘nice pajamas’

Lockwood, in his pajamas, staring at his newest employee who is a strange teenage girl he met a week ago and has already fallen in love with, who burned down a house two days ago, who just got out of the shower and is wearing nothing but a towel, and he’s complimenting her on the towel she’s wearing which is HIS TOWEL, he complimented her on his OWN DAMN TOWEL, and immediately begging for death to take him on the spot

and George, who was stress cleaning and is now just watching these two idiots play hot potato with the braincell

Rewatching Narnia has made me realize two things:

all of them, in those first few scenes especially, are just so young. like they are children children. when you watch Narnia as a kid yourself, you don't really notice but wow theyre really all infants in that first film???

The Pevensies without a doubt are the most accurate representation of siblings in any movie ever

I complete missed this detail!!

Eliot taking his jacket off in The Rundown Job, making himself a more prominent target for the gunman with his bright red t-shirt, just perfection…he didn’t need to do that. Eliot fights in multiple layers of shirts and jackets and hoodies plenty of times, but he did, and now he’s brightly coloured and running at the guy, making himself the most likely one for the bullets to hit.

The clothing colours at the end of that ep also echo the ones at the end of the pilot episode and that is pleasing…but I digress a lot from the point. Point is I was sketching from Rundown and just enjoy the red t-shirt.
