With the blockade imposed by Israel, it is extremely important to support grassroots organizations. They provide aid to multiple families on the ground. The Sameer Project is one organization. It is led by 4 Palestinians in the diaspora and Gazans are risking their lives while distributing the aid to ensure families are accommodated.
The Sameer Project provides food and shelter. As you know, the rainy season is persistent and many families have been displaced by the sea. The high tide has caused many to lose their tents, the only shelter they have. So please donate to the Sameer Project! With your support, they can branch out to families across the Strip!
Here is their Linktree, which also includes Venmo and PayPal.

there is something horrifically grim to it, but illustrations for gaza and palestinians tend to catch more mass attention that actual photos of people. this made me feel incredibly helpless for a long while, seeing both how people would rather look at a neat drawing of red black green and white than look a human in the eyes, and how online platforms would rather push a viral drawing while suppressing those begging for help at the same time.
a way to cope with this feeling has been taking advantage of it to directly guide people to helping palestinians.
if art gets better traction, then there’s an incredible amount of good that can be done by creating art that immediately links to fundraisers. creating art of the many images of those who are asking for help.
within hours of posting my drawing, there has been jumps in the thousands for bashar from gaza’s fundraiser. it’s a small effort in the grand scheme of things. it’s not a fix it. but it’s something good. please take care of each other and do what you can. i think this could help a lot of people if a lot of people did it.
here is bashar. i’ve drawn him, spoken to him, and known him now for a few months. any shares help, any art helps. draw who you see, draw what you see. thanks all

Hazem Khalil (@hazem1999sblog) is @bilal-salah0's friend. Bilal is verified by Nairuz and Hussein. He's legit. His old blog, @hazem1999, was shadowbanned and he had to remake just a few days ago. Now he's getting error messages when he tries to send DMs. This is really, really bad.
His entire family has been stuck in Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza for months. Now the cost of living has skyrocketed and the means for survival are scarce. His family cannot even access drinking water or food. Tumblr is taking away his only source of income during the genocide.
They need €50,000 as soon as possible, but its been 10 days and they haven't even broken €1k.
Please reblog this, follow his blog, read his previous posts and donate. We can't let Tumblr silence him.
edit august 1:
but thanks to you we crossed €1000. how quickly can we get his family to €2000??
his new blog is @hazempalestine, please follow, donate, and share
edit august 15:
Thank you to everyone who showed concern for him.
Thankfully no bullshit happened to @hazempalestine’s new blog and you can still find him there. Since making this post two weeks ago we have managed to raise around €6000 for Hazem which is a great start but he has an urgent goal of €10k by the start of next week, which means he has to raise around €1000 a day!
Please keep sharing and donating!!

at my fathers funeral hitting the bong of grief
Hello,
I am Ahmed, 31 years old, with my wife Asmaa and our children: Mohammed (9 years old), Kareem (6 years old), Namer (4 years old), and Sahad (1.5 years old). We have faced many challenges in this war, starting from the destruction of our home to the famine we continue to endure in northern Gaza.
My son Mohammed suffers from motor and
hearing disabilities, among other health
issues. I used to have a workshop for windows, kitchens, and all aluminum work, but due to the war, my livelihood was completely destroyed, and I can no longer meet our basic needs.
This is our home that was destroyed in this terrible war.
My goal is to leave Gaza to save my family's lives. The cost of travel is $5000 per adult and $2500 per child, plus travel and accommodation expenses.
Together, we can support Ahmed and his family during this ordeal. Your donation, regardless of its size, can make a difference in the lives of these children who need a fresh start.
If you're looking to support Ahmed and his family, please consider providing assistance directly or through relevant charitable organizations.
I hope everyone is safe

People really like to default into things that sound like "remember our fandom is made of a lot of victims of ___ thing that will make them view this thing differently than how it actually is!"
Nah. Come on now. You're not polling people before you make this claim. It's assumption because of age and, I assume, trying to give people the benefit of the doubt.
This fandom is young, but I promise you the problems it has with characters with mental illness is pretty universal across mediums. Fandom likes pretty victims and graceful spirals. Fandom struggles with depictions of mental illness that can't be categorized into some trope or cliché. Fandom, throughout Tumblr's history, has a poor history with mental illness.
Trust me, the people projecting their negative relationships with parents onto Wilbur are the ones giving Fundy the worst daddy issues I've ever seen. It's not the people who are romanticizing one person's villain arc and writing Wilbur off as "aggressive" or "insane" or "manipulative" and in the same category as Dream (all things I saw today on twitter btw).
It's about empathy. A lot of the people I've seen romanticizing Tubbo's actions today have turned it into him grieving or lashing out or snapping after being the victim for so long. He's not a villain, even if he uttered the same words as Wilbur, because you can justify it with things other than "he's ill."
There's a reason the mentally ill man, the one you can't divorce from being called mentally ill with pretty justifications, is commonly drawn as a monster. Fandom doesn't think mental illness is pretty.
