One day, I'll have kids, and my kids are going to want to go on the internet. And this is what I'll tell them:
The internet is like Fairyland. It is a wondrous place, a place of many marvels and many opportunities.
It is also a dangerous place, with strange rules that often seem arbitrary — to navigate it, you have to learn its fairy-logic, and learn to speak its language.
It is a place of tests and trials — the folk can be cruel, pointlessly so, just because it amuses them. It's often not personal, even if it seems like it is. The worst are the Trolls, but they will lose power if you don't engage with them.
It is a place of illusion and lies. Everyone wears a mask, and not all the masked people are actually people. Don't believe everything you see or hear, for illusions are everywhere.
Time moves differently there. Entire days can go by, seemingly in an instant.
Do not accept anything you're offered, and be very careful to whom you tell your True Name.
it gets easier. everyday, it gets a little easier, but you gotta do it everyday. that's the hard part. but i promise it gets easier.
reminder that donating just a few $ to gofundme campaigns actually helps, you don't have to donate huge amounts if you don't have the funds, every little bit is useful. give $10, $5, even $1. it all adds up. don't scroll past because you think you can't help. help in your own capacity. donate a dollar. share and speak up.
me: wow i meant to get dinner an hour ago but im still sitting in bed
me: this is a frequent problem of mine. i should find an app that reminds me to eat periodically
me: *spends half an hour searching for an app*
me: wow i meant to get dinner an hour and a half ago but im
and then there were none spoilers under the cut
its so funny that wargrave went to all that trouble to create two aliases that fit his little u. n. owen = unknown hint and then he had to spell it out because none of the others even realized it
What books have you done this to?

hi, you can call me hayden or luce, i'm a fourth year highschool student from italy and I'm 17y/o. my pronouns change often but they/them is always fine. ♡︎
this is my first time making a kind of aesthetic blog and I tend to be really inconsistent with projects but I'll try!
last year i did a bit of a mess with school work and that made me reflect on how i could change my way of approaching studying... and so here i am on studyblr, finding my motivation (and fighting with the keyboard corrector to keep everything low caps xd).
i'm also studying art by myself because that's my passion, and that will take an important space in my schedules too. and maybe some other personal projects will too.

(I don't know when some of these wills start)
- this week's goal posts
- thoughts and emotions
- study plans/goals and tips
- monthly recap
- other things, I'm still figuring this out
Does anyone have any recommendations for free language learning apps? Particularly for Latin American Spanish? I used to use Duolingo before their AI garbage, and then switched to Busuu for a while but suddenly after nearly 200 consecutive days of using it, it's suddenly locking all of its lessons behind a subscription paywall.
2024 is the year we stop “consuming” and go back to “reading/watching/listening to/playing” things
Starting a Japanese sdv game!! Wish me luck T.T
