Happy International Women's Day!
I thought for a long time about how to congratulate you, because I didn't have any art ready. I have several sketches of this girl, but I decided that I would show you this very first one.
So, I'd like you to meet HARRY AND DRACO'S BIOLOGICAL Daughter.
*applause
This is only a rough draft, but I'm already thinking that I'm definitely going to give her black hair, thick eyelashes and eyebrows from Harry, and fair skin with light eyes from Draco. I'm also thinking that she should be a Slytherin, because I don't believe that the Melfoy family wouldn't want the first child of our newlyweds. Also, if you have any questions about the conception, I'm thinking about having it be a magical ceremony where Draco comes forward to be the one to carry the child. But it doesn't have to be. It could be surrogacy or something else. It's up to your imagination.
P.S.: oh, and what are we going to name her? Does Lily Narcissa Malfoy-Potter sound too much?
P.P.S.: Forgive my English if I wrote something unclear. Or weird.
brash testing
Got inspired by someone's suggestion to draw Scott and Cleo with tragedy and comedy masks, I tired that but it didn't quite work. So i changed the idea to venetian masks / fools / clowns... Idk it looks cool and i just locked in painting. Don't know if i'll ever have the time to finish this one so enjoy this wip in the meantime
My least favorite things about anti- UBI discourse is always the techbros whining that "nobody is going to work anymore! People will just watch Netflix all day!" and I have 2 responses:
1) Who the fuck cares. Who the fuck cares what people do with their time! That's kind of the fucking point!
2) People aren't going to stop laboring. Housework (look, it's right there in the word!) will still need to be done. So will maintenance on our homes and personal spaces. Children will still need carers, as will the elderly and disabled. There are millions of examples of ~work~ that we do all the time, uncompensated, that won't suddenly stop because we aren't forced to sell our labor to provide corporation's profits.
I'm not surprised that what is traditionally women's work is invisible to these dipshits, but it never fails to anger me.
Anyway. Join the IWW.
a story told over the course of a month, in 50 word increments. based off prompts here: [X] you can read past entries here. drarry. 50 words. no rating
Entering the room is disorienting. The air is close – the walls, floor, and ceiling a uniform, shimmering black.
Harry drops his things – mucky-looking against the shine – and tests the bed. Soft sheets. All of it black. Prone to stains.
Harry closes his eyes. Stars begin to fall from the ceiling.
This is part of a continuous story, you can read the first part here. Based off this prompt list by @peachydreamxx and @uncannycerulean
I'll catch up soon, but in the mean time:

The pictures flashed on the screen, a unique sort of magic. Yet Draco’s disdain was transparent on his face.
“I thought you didn’t hate muggles anymore,” Harry said bemusedly.
“I don’t,” Draco spoke, sneer stuck on his face, “It doesn’t really go with the decor.”
It didn’t. The olde black house was not meant to hold anything so modern. So simple. So muggle.
“We should make it the statement piece.”
Draco got home to find a piece of paper on the kitchen counter:
Busy with work I left food in the ice-box xo, HP
He took the left-over lasagna from lunch and placed it in the newest muggle addition to their home: the microwave.
He sat at the table alone with his reheated food still cold in the middle and tasting like an attenuated version of what it would taste like with Harry.
He braved the streets of Diagon Alley on a foggy morning, when he could blend in with the crowd.
He walked the cobbled streets, with the expectation of his most grim experiences coming to life, but the people simply walked by without a second glance.
Among the brume on the roads, he spotted him immediately. Horrible hair an immediate give away. Green eyes that could shine through the cloudiest skies, already trained on him—a picked up face in the crowd.

but WHY is D Malf your main man?
Oh my lord that is like asking why the is sky blue, sometimes things just are you know? (because the real answer is a mile long)
I could go on and on about how I find Draco's contradictions to be endlessly fascinating (like that one lovely post that was going around, please link me to it if you know what I'm talking about), about how his narrative arc about unlearning the stupid stuff he's been taught all his life is quite relatable or even about just how vital he is to the plot of the hp books but at the end of the day the biggest reason why I stan is because I think he's a funny little man.
I enjoy the way Draco speaks (the poshness of it all), his sense of humor (I'm sorry but potter stinks is hilarious to me like, of all the things to hit Harry with this is what Draco chose???), the way he's often right about something even though his opinion was formed in the worst way possible (see: his opinions on Hagrid's teaching prowess), the comical contrast between his self preservation instinct and the way he often comes out of conflicts worse for the wear...
I think many things about Draco come together to form a hilarious picture that still manages not to be pitiful on account of his many strengths (I'll forever hold the opinion that Draco is both smart and resourceful) and his endless potential, both narratively and on a personal level.
Besides all the reasons why I find the Draco from canon to be great there's also the fact that I love what the fandom can do with him to consider. Draco is a great character in fics (I often find myself looking forward to reading a story from his pov), his features make for a very aesthetically appealing figure in fanart, I look forward to people's analysis of his character, I love drarry and he's half of the equation etc. etc. ...
I've just written a very verbose reply and I still feel like I missed half of what makes Draco so appealing to me, that's how deep my love is. Some things just can't be put into words I'm afraid, hopefully this satisfies your curiosity somewhat,
xoxo
