im gonna be hated for my opinion but idgaF I really hope theia isn't a goody-two shoes love interest for proto earth. That would be the MOST WASTED POTENTIAL for a character to go through SHE SHOULD BE INDEPENDENT!!! she should have development like the male characters have!! if shes thrown aside just like many other female characters... it'll be super sad. Plus, she's the first FEMALE PLANET (not counting dwarves since, well, dwarves.) that we'll have in solarballs ALSO theia isn't lunas mom. Collisions do not equal the birth of a child.

OK, just a random thought, what if, we just smash some Vercury to the Revolution Mercury AU. Like imagine right after he comes back with X, they become friends again, then they just… ya know… 😘 (I’m actually obsessed with the ship help me. 😭)

I was already playing around with the idea of one-sided Vercury (from Venus’ side) in this au, but yeah, I see fully-fledged Vercury working here!!

After the whole X situation, Mercury finally goes back to his orbit, and everyone’s… really nice to him???? And he’s like “that’s weird, but at least it’s better than before”. But then the other rocky planets invite him to, like, hang out and stuff, and then he finds out that Venus is the one that wanted to include him, and he just… melts.

I like the idea of Mercury having a crush on Venus when they were still friends, getting over it during the billion years of bullying, and then the second he’s being nice again it comes back full-force.

Venus, meanwhile, has been pining for forever, but is absolutely shit at expressing any sort of emotion that isn’t anger, so… y’know.

Mercury rants about his crush to the moons and they all collectively agree that Mercury can do a lot better but decide to try to help him out anyway. So then we have Titan, Luna, Europa, and Ganymede all running around trying to set Mercury and Venus up while the two oblivious idiots are pining hard and Earth and Mars are just playing cards in the background.

but: consider. if u genuinely like analyzing writing.. do u know ur just allowed to go through and quote your favorite parts and ramble abt what they mean to u and the author will LOSE IT WITH HYPE?

genuinely. i felt SO WEIRD the first time i did it.. but like. holy shit authors love it. its crack for authors. the first time i did it, it was on a fic that hadnt updated in half a year, give or take, and the author made 3 updates that month BECAUSE OF MY COMMENT.

LIKE. as an author every comment is INCREDIBLE!!! but also, dont feel like your comment has to be short or otherwise ur invasive or smth!! authors ADORE long comments more than ANYTHING.

Encouragment for writers that I know seems discouraging at first but I promise it’s motivational-

• Those emotional scenes you’ve planned will never be as good on page as they are in your head. To YOU. Your audience, however, is eating it up. Just because you can’t articulate the emotion of a scene to your satisfaction doesn’t mean it’s not impacting the reader. 

• Sometimes a sentence, a paragraph, or even a whole scene will not be salvagable. Either it wasn’t necessary to the story to begin with, or you can put it to the side and re-write it later, but for now it’s gotta go. It doesn’t make you a bad writer to have to trim, it makes you a good writer to know to trim.

• There are several stories just like yours. And that’s okay, there’s no story in existence of completely original concepts. What makes your story “original” is that it’s yours. No one else can write your story the way you can.

• You have writing weaknesses. Everyone does. But don’t accept your writing weaknesses as unchanging facts about yourself. Don’t be content with being crap at description, dialogue, world building, etc. Writers that are comfortable being crap at things won’t improve, and that’s not you. It’s going to burn, but work that muscle. I promise you’ll like the outcome.

I honestly always leave paragraphs on almost every fic I read once I found out that authors liked them so much. It also meant I accidentally invented a tier list on how much I want to put characters on time out, but it makes the author laugh

Nothing beats the feeling when you start getting comments on every fic in a fandom or ship from one person, and it’s clear that they’re going on a fic-binge.
