I'm back, I think?

It's been a hot minute, but I decided to dust off my ol' Tumblr again. Currently I'm busy working on Spellbound, the sequel to my debut novel Shadow Dance, and it's stressful due to my health (which hasn't been the best for the past 2 years). I'm sure I'll be talking more about this in the next few weeks (my books that is, not my health).

Anyway, I just wanted to make a little update and start up this 'blog' again.

My short story is now 17 pages, and I've been editing it while writing. Just a few days ago I had about 2, maybe 3 pages? Progress!

I'm still ill though and I also seem to have developed a fever, so currently I'm not the fastest writer.

I'm really enjoying writing about my terrible man. He's dark, horrible, and devoid of any positive traits. There's literally nothing he can do to redeem himself. I love this fictional man so much, it's unreal. <3

I wrote around 2300 words yesterday, which I was very pleased with. Today, I'm significantly slower because I seem to have caught a cold. Ugh, but of course. If I can write 1000 words today I'll be very happy (but I doubt it).

And just like that.

I decided to switch my short story from first-person narrative to third-person. Why? Because writing in third-person is easier and takes less time. Besides, I already wrote 500 pages in first-person from the point of view of different characters, and let me tell you, it's nice to get a break from having to 'be' the character in question when it's Lysander I'm writing about.

I'm liking where the story is going so far – now I just have to make sure to stay within the 28 page limit.

I started working on a short story today, set in the same universe as my upcoming fantasy trilogy. It's exciting and fun to write something that's not 500 pages long, haha.

I have the lore/backstory of the character all mapped out. Now I need to spend some time fleshing out certain parts of the story before I start working on the first draft (as always, I write in Swedish first).

It's going to be fun to finish it and submit it to be reviewed, and see if it gets accepted or not for an anthology. :)

Sometimes I can't get any work done, unless I jot down a few sentences on a piece of paper. Tonight is one of those nights. Back in the day I used to go on dA to post my writing. It feels different now. Tumblr will have to do, for now.

Other lands are not my concern. The fortunes of the world will rise and fall, but here in this kingdom, we will endure.
