Today is World Hunger Day, which falls on May 28th of each year. This day was launched in 2011 by The Hunger Project to raise awareness about the global hunger crisis and encourage sustainable efforts to eradicate hunger.

This day is an opportunity to participate in hunger-fighting efforts, whether through donations, volunteering, or spreading awareness through social media. It also highlights the importance of improving maternal nutrition as a fundamental step to breaking the cycle of malnutrition that has been passed down through generations.

This is a very important day for Gaza, where hunger and severe malnutrition are omnipresent among its children. My children are among those who see a full stomach as an unattainable dream, experiencing nothing but fear, hunger, and deprivation of their most basic rights. They need your support to live a life like your children's, a life every child deserves. Don't say you can't do anything, but do what you can do here.
