I Have Always Felt That A Human Being Could Only Be Saved By Another Human Being. I Am Aware That We

I have always felt that a human being could only be saved by another human being. I am aware that we do not save each other very often. But I am also aware that we save each other some of the time.

James Baldwin, born 100 years ago today, on how to live through your darkest hour.

.. yemin ederim ki, her şeye rağmen dayanacağım, yolumu bulacağım, gözümün yaşını silip her şeye dayanacağım. Keşke bütün bu çabalarımın sonucunu şu kadarcık olsun görebilsem, arada bir keşke beni seven biri yüreklendirse beni.

I had no idea what I wanted, only that I wanted something, which is the worst kind of wanting.

Integrity means that what you thought, what you said, and what you did, are all the same.

Sen buralarda çok sevilen birisin.

'Perhaps you will get some idea of it if you think like this. You may have been in a room in which there was a window that looked out on a lovely bay of the sea or a green valley that wound away among the mountains. And in the wall of that room opposite to the glass there may have been a looking glass. And the sea in the mirror, or the valley in the mirror, were in one sense just the same as the real ones: yet at the same time they were somehow different — deeper, more wonderful, more like places in a story: in a story you have never heard but very much want to know. The difference between the old Narnia and the new Narnia was like that. The new one was a deeper country: every rock and flower and blade of grass looked like it meant more. I can't describe it any better than that: if you ever get there you will know what I mean. It was the unicorn who summed up what everyone was feeling. He stamped his right fore-hoof on the ground and neighed, and then cried: "I have come home at last! This is my real country! I belong here. This is the land I have been looking for all my life, though I never knew it till now. The reason why we loved the old Narnia so much is because it sometimes looked a little like this. Bree-hee-hee! Come further up, come further in!"

'The Last Battle, C. S. LewisIt's a great feeling, now that I actually exist.

She’s running and she’s running fast she’s out of breath and her lungs burn so bad the world around her is burning down as if all hell had broken lose around her she almost made it she was so close she didn’t feel her legs at that point but she kept running she had to leave she had to she didn’t stop she couldn’t stop until she had to reach the end it could be all for her she had so much to live for she kept pumping her legs till she could no more she tripped and fell she tried to get up but could no longer feel her legs she watched at all hell was about to engulf her whole she knew she was no longer going to make it she tried to get to him but she was too late to late for him and her self a single tear streamed down her face knowing she loved one person at the end of her life as the flames grew closer she closed her eye shedding her final tear she held the initial carved locket around her neck and with that she perished into the flames there only remained a solid girl locket that was soon buried underground 100 years later A little girl with fiery red hair was digging in the ground in her back yard when she came upon a sliding gold initials carved locket
