“it’s pretty, huh?” she says, as his neck tingles with the feeling of her breath that dances across it under the light in their garden.

“yeah, it’s beautiful.” spencer answers, looking down at his wife as she looks at the moon… but he didn’t mean the moon.

his hands on her waist, her arms around his neck, slowly swaying to the classical music he had taped, the moon casting white light across the green grass as their small one slowly grows to be one of them in her stomach. where he was now was perfect.

“you know, i’m glad this is where we ended up. i’m glad that it’s just us now, and this little one obviously but… i don’t know i just like this moment i guess.” she mentions, drawing attention to her evergrowing stomach, looking up to spencer and smiling with all her might.

“so do i. maybe this is where we were meant to end up, you know? after everything that happened… maybe this is the best place we could be.” he tells her, and for a second it’s almost like she can hear his heartbeat.

being in love was a surreal feeling for her, with spencer it felt like she never had any troubles.

the past faded, tomorrow never arrived and the present stayed as dreamy as she felt like it always was. everything was perfect. her world was spinning at a speed that her head felt lighter, her heart raced faster - or was that just spencer?

she had often wondered where time had gone, whether she had used her time well enough. she figured if she had managed to find spencer and make a life with him, she must have used it wisely.

“of course this is where we’re meant to be. look at us three. just us.” she smiles, looking back up to the doctor and remembering the past.

she would never forget everything he had done for her, how safe and protected she felt with him, how happy he really made her. and she would never let her little one forget how amazing her dad was.

“full moon today. any werwolves?” he laughs to himself, his knowledge coming in handy for the moment, seeing her smile and knowing he had done the best he could to see her smile like that every single day of his and her life together.

“hope not, got a little girl to protect.” she grins, looking down again and remembering the life she would have with spencer, the life that she would never give away for anything.

he would never give this moment up, if he had the chance to.

if she had a chance to rewind the past and make everything ok again - she would. because if she had made him stay home that night… everything that was happening now wouldn’t be just a hallucination.

it would be real.

“you’re beautiful.” he whispers, and again the silence brings her the pain she’s been living in for six months now.

she looks down again to her stomach, knowing their small girl would live on in her fathers name, never failing to bring smiles and intelligence around a room.

“i think i have to go. this was a good last night… the moon looks beautiful but you look better. wish i had told you that more without being so nervous.” he grins and laughs, and she feels herself sink inside with the moment that she had dreaded.

“i love you… please don’t go.” she begs, and it’s almost like she can’t move as much, her swaying stops and the music fades from her ears.

“i love you too.” he says, and from his legs she sees his figure begin to fade away.

and she hears the gunshot all over again.

Picking on Misha Collins is like picking on a puppy. Congrats to all you puppy bullying assholes.
