I think the relationship with Narcissa and her father was very distant. She was always a mummy’s girl, she looked like her mother, acted like her, was her mother’s favourite.
I think Cygnus had wanted a son, but I think in time he felt guilty about it. I think he looked at Narcissa and wanted to say so many things but couldn’t. I like to think that as they grew older, as Andromeda left and Bella became what she became, Narcissa and Cygnus got closer.
Even with a family like theirs I like to imagine soft little moments, like Narcissa playing with little Draco, and Cygnus watching them, maybe regretting that he didn’t build similar memories with her.
Everyone must have thought that Narcissa is so much like her mother, but deep down she was her father’s girl, too. The youngest siblings, maybe a bit more quiet and calculative than their siblings, in a way they were so much alike.
Being a pro censorship ao3 user is so insanely cringe. Either use the (incredibly effective and well designed) filtering system to avoid seeing the shit you don't like or stop complaining. Leave the pro censorship rhetoric to Wattpad or smth
You’re in your 20s saying seggs and unalive… Maybe worry about that
“why isn’t there any fic about (x)?” there can be a fic that is precisely about what you want to read. just start writing that fic for yourself.
“but I’m not a writer” every writer has had their first time writing. most writers start with writing something they want to read. your work doesn’t have to be perfect, because having 1 fic that is precisely about what you want to read, even if it’s not perfect, is still better than having 0 fics about what you want to read.
stop letting miserable people on the internet convince you that you must have a concrete, well-constructed opinion on everything that has ever existed.

Bellatrix was probably fully convinced that Andromeda was the problem because she betrayed them for some muggle-born boy. To her, it was her little sister who chose someone she knew for a few years, max, over their family. And Bellatrix believed in punishments. Actions have consequences and Andromeda deserved cruelty in exchange of what she had done.
Following her disownment, whenever Andromeda got angry, she flinched every time she looked into a mirror because the reflection that stared back at her was the face of Bellatrix’s cruelty. Sometimes, Andromeda allowed it to hurt if it meant she could imagine what Bellatrix looked like, just to feel a little bit closer to her. After the Battle of Hogwarts, though, Andromeda got rid of all her mirrors. This time, it was not her sister she saw but the person who killed her daughter. She couldn’t bear looking at herself anymore.

I just know Druella Black was the biggest gossip of the pure-blood society (as she should). She knew everything about everyone.
‘She wasn’t a good mother’ great are we evaluating this character trait as one of her many facets or are we just damning her for not being the most maternal womanliest woman who ever womaned
