please remember that its generally considered rude to compare someones original character, or original work in general to another piece of media. artists dont think its a complement when you say their character looks liek your blorbo from your shows. they see it as you saying theyve ripped it off or you dont see any value in their design outside its resemblence to something else you like.

I always open up an older drawing of a character when I start drawing them again. Not as reference, I have all the design things in my head (usually). It's so i can pick the exact colors. Does anyone else do this?
