the angel staying over at my house asked for a nightlight in their room and i told them buddy, don't you produce your own light? what're you gonna do with more? and they said they wanted to see why people like it so much. and also that the nightlight i own is blue and they're been trying to understand color. anyways i think they've stared at it for an hour now
Why are we criticizing "TikTok therians" for not grasping the nuances of their therian identity... Most of them are kids ffs let them play outside
Some creatures might bite me for saying this, but I think that us having human bodies is cool, actually, because it allows a lot of different species to have common ground and interact peacefully when they would otherwise have to fight for survival, eat each other, drive each other to madness, etc.
So the "every species is sentient" dilemma isn't as bad in this case as it would be if, say, humans existed along with sentient bio-tapeworms or sentient bio-wolves existed along with sentient bio-deer. And by this I mean human-like sentience, since I believe that most species are already sentient to some degree
Otherkinity and therianthropy make a lot of otherwise hypothetical moral dilemmas a lot more real, such as "what if every single species on earth was sentient and sapient" and "what if fictional characters could see what kind of art people share of them on the internet"
A favorite from my collection - this luminous little one from the 1960s.
Greetings, darlings! Here is today’s Daily Divination , courtesy of The Faeries’ Oracle by Brian Froud and Jessica MacBeth! This lovely deck is one I will be using for the BLM event on Discord next weekend (click here for more information about the event)! I am so excited to hear what the Faeries would like you to know~ ❤️
The card that appears today is He of the Fiery Sword. He speaks of the active principle. Spiritual will. Justice. Protection. He’s part of The Singers if the Realms - which are great ones, whose wings span the multiverse in all dimensions. They have many human-given names, but it doesn’t matter to them what we call them - they just hope that we call upon them. They are the Singers of the underlying song of the Universe. To the Faeries, as to us, they are the Great Ones, the ones who show us, humans and faeries both, what we have the potential to become. They also help us to move in that direction and comfort us when we fall off the path.
We can call upon the master of the Fiery Sword when we have difficult things to do, when we need to take action that is going to require much of us, both in will and in compassion.
He can indicate that there is (or there is a need for) clear and focused will and a determination to carry through on decisions, even if much effort is required. Or he can tell us that such will and strength is present in regard to the issues under consideration. We need to consider how he is expressing his will and strength and how the expression may be enhanced or improved. He indicates that this is a time to take action based on clear spiritual will. His presences indicate great strength and great potential for good. It also reminds us that, if we call upon him, we will receive assistance.
To alterhumans that belong to one of the big 3 monotheistic religions: Where do you see yourselves in your religion's cosmology? I'm curious because the Abrahamic religions tend to be very anthropocentric, especially Christianity with its "great chain of being"
Not literally, just moving to a new account: @starfriend-crittertangles .
I am trying to come out as alterhuman to my family and friends step by step. I already wear gear and show some animalistic and alien behavior around them. One of these steps is connecting my kin blog to my main blog.
Besides, I haven't been active on my main for a long while and it makes me feel bad.
See you there!
you know what’s a good feeling? a real good feeling?
when sunbeams do this.
that is all.
I'm your only friend i'm not your only friend but i'm a little glowing friend but really i'm not actually your friend but i am (the painting in my cover photo is "Visitors From the Past" by Andrew Stewart)
