Rebuilding Live: A Mother's Plea for Hope and Safety in Gaza

I'm Nour Alanqar, and reaching out to you during a time of unimaginable hardship. I am 26 years old, married to Ashraf Ismail, who is 32, and together we have three beautiful children: Hussein, 6, Rajaa, 5, and Youssef, just 10 months old. Our lives have been turned upside down by the devastating war in Gaza, and we desperately need your help.

On a dark night at the beginning of the war, our area was subjected to massive bombing. The explosions reached our home, forcing us to flee into the night, running amidst periodic explosions and searching for survival. We made our way to southern Gaza by morning, seeking refuge in Rafah.

•This is our home, filled with our memories and moments of joy and happiness, now reduced to rubble. Its destruction shattered our hearts.

Rebuilding Live: A Mother's Plea For Hope And Safety In Gaza

In Rafah, we found shelter in a crowded warehouse filled with strangers, all of us struggling to find basic necessities like food, water, safety, and cleanliness. Despite these challenges, we were again hit by direct bombardment. My husband was injured in the shoulder, and the scene around us was filled with blood and corpses. The cries of my children in those moments still echo in my head.

•A fragment of what it once was, and now, what it has become.

Rebuilding Live: A Mother's Plea For Hope And Safety In Gaza

We moved several times to places described as safe, only to face new tragedies. During this period, my precious daughter Raja contracted hepatitis, adding to our suffering.

It was incredibly difficult for me to endure these disasters, especially as I was in the process of giving birth. Youssef was deprived of proper breastfeeding and the necessary nutrition for his age. Hussein's right to education and a safe childhood have been cruelly taken from him.

•My baby Youssef, whom I clung to throughout the war, running with him through the rubble of shattered homes to escape.

Rebuilding Live: A Mother's Plea For Hope And Safety In Gaza

•At an age when Hussein should have been enjoying his childhood, all his rights were taken away from him.

Our situation is dire, and we need your support to rebuild our lives and provide a future for our children. Your kindness and generosity can make a profound difference. Your contributions will help us secure safe shelter, access to medical care, and the basic necessities of life.

this is our own personal apocalypse. ppl are not taking the situation in sudan as seriously as they should. crucial infrastructure has already collapsed. famine & disease has begun to set in. climate change is causing crops to fail.

the economy & job market are stagnant. inflation is out of control. we’re dying. if the war doesn’t kill us, everything else will. unprecedented levels of human suffering & death is imminent.
this is not an issue you look back on in 5 years and say “we should have acted sooner”. sudan desperately needs action NOW.

They're also censoring people who use these tags on X. Sudanese creators and activists who are talking about their experiences -and often not able to share extensive details about their sufferings because if they do, they could be killed for sharing information. Saying 'genocide' is getting their posts flagged and accounts banned too. We need to be talking about this too.

Urgent Help Needed To Save My Beloved Family

Can You Please Help

My name is Sameer Al Khaldi. I am a Palestinian refugee living in Gaza with my family of 17 people in a tent facing the worst war in human history. During the current Gaza war, my house was completely destroyed resulting in the loss of my business and all our belongings. Me and my family have since been displaced in the streets with no shelter, lack of access to food, drinking water, and healthcare necessities. Despite we were camping in areas which were announced as safe, we faced an imminent danger of death by Israeli airstrikes in our camping neighborhoods several times which resulted in serious physical and psychological impacts on us as well as my little grandsons. I am writing this fundraiser hoping to get help with your generous donations to evacuate Gaza immediately to a safer country.

Before the war, we were having a normal life in Gaza having our own business and working hard with my sons and brothers to be able to survive under the Gaza siege. We were preparing for my daughter's wedding which was supposed to take place this summer but unfortunately she got all her wedding dresses and belongings gone with the destroyed house. She's now left with nothing hoping to be able to get married to her fiancé in a safer place one day. One of my sons was supposed to complete his high school education this year and was passionate about enrolling in a university to study business but the war deprived him from this success and left him hopeless while seeing other students in the west bank receiving their high school certificates while he's left behind. I hope this fundraiser with your generous support would help him to get out of Gaza and continue his education and achieve his life goals abroad. The funds collected through this fundraiser will be used to pay for the travel expenses for myself and my family of 17 people including 9 adults and 8 children. We hope one day will be able to rebuild our lives peacefully and get back to stable conditions with safety and protection for our kids like other children in the world.

My entire twitter feed is people in Rafah saying they’re terrified, saying their good byes, and asking us to remember them in our prayers. Rafah is facing a massacre. It’s a genocide. We will not know the number of deaths until the morning.

Hi, I was born out of nowhere in Gaza and I'm trying to connect with people who will help me get my story out on Tumblr.🍉

I am engineer Walid Al-Qatrawi. I am 34 years old. Father to Adam, Hala, and Nay. I have lived in the Gaza Strip since I was born.

My wife and I are also eagerly awaiting the arrival of our daughter, but due to the harsh realities of war in our area, we are facing severe financial difficulties.

As the due date approaches, we find ourselves struggling to cover the costs of a cesarean section, as well as my wife’s basic medical and health needs. With no income and the enormous challenges we face daily, we are reaching out to our community for support. Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a huge difference in helping us welcome our daughter into the world safely.

Please help me share my story by reblogging or by donating.🙏💔🍉

I am Mohammad Hussein Ismail, a 23-year-old Palestinian from Gaza, reaching out to you during these unimaginably difficult times. My life and that of my family have been profoundly changed by the war, and today I write to you, hoping for your support and assistance.

My Family 🕊️❤️

My family consists of five members: my mother Raja (51 years old), my father Hussein (58 years old), my sister Iman (18 years old), and my younger sister Noor (13 years old). We used to live a simple life filled with hope and ambition before the war turned our lives upside down.

On a grim night at the onset of the war, our neighborhood was relentlessly bombed. The blasts shook our home, compelling us to flee into the darkness, navigating through sporadic explosions, desperately seeking safety. By morning, we reached southern Gaza, seeking refuge in Rafah, our hearts heavy with sorrow for what we had lost. 🕊️🍉🗝️

In this brutal war, my father was injured, severing tendons in his finger due to relentless bombardment. Due to malnutrition and rampant diseases, my sister Iman contracted hepatitis, exacerbating our suffering. We endured the cold winter within the confines of a tent, and the scorching summer heat as well, trapped inside due to harsh weather conditions. Unable to stay together as a family, we were forced to scatter and flee once again from Rafah due to intense shelling, seeking refuge in Deir al-Balah within the Gaza Strip, where our struggles continued in search of safety and hope for survival.🕊️🍉🗝️

Now displaced, we endure an immensely challenging life, filled with hardships. We struggle tirelessly to prepare food over open fires, to fetch water, and even find a place to sleep. We've lost the basic comforts of life. Due to inadequate shelter, severe infections have ravaged my body, and I've grown exhausted in the quest for treatment amidst the scarcity of medicine.🕊️🍉🗝️

Your contributions will provide us with the means to find safe shelter, access essential medical care, and obtain the basic necessities of life we so desperately need.🕊️🍉🗝️

I had an old account that was deleted, and I am pleading for your help in sharing the new one. Our only hope is that you can help my family survive this brutal war. 💔🙏🌹

Hello dear friends 🍉🇵🇸❤️🖤🤍💚

I'm Sami,Iam reaching out to you today with a heavy heart, as the harsh circumstances have forced me to seek your help. I am the head of a family that was displaced due to the war in Gaza, and we lost everything we owned—our home and belongings—because of these difficult conditions.

We are now living in a tent that offers no protection from the summer heat or the winter cold. In these conditions, we lack the most basic necessities of life such as food, medicine, and clean water.

I live with my wife and two daughters in conditions that are unbearable. We face daily challenges just to meet the most basic needs of living. We cannot afford food or medicine, and our days are filled with suffering and fear for our future.

I appeal to you today, with a broken heart and hope in God and your compassionate hearts, to help alleviate our suffering. Please donate to us through GoFundMe, and any contribution, no matter how small, means so much to us and brings a glimmer of hope towards a better life.May God bless you for all the support you provide to those in need, and I pray that He blesses you and your families.🇵🇸🇵🇸

Hello! I am motaz from Gaza.

My house was destroyed and I lost my job and everything we had in this country. I feel great pain writing for you, as I have to start this campaign to save myself and my people from this human disaster. We live in harsh conditions, and we only have hope after being displaced several times from our home. Now, we are fighting for the most basic necessities to survive - drinking food and water.. Imagine with me that you wake up every day and don't know how to get a meal for your kids. Imagine the anxiety that grips you as you try so hard to protect your family from hunger and thirst. This is our daily reality. Your donation, no matter how small, can have a great impact. It can provide us with a meal, a clean water bottle, or a moment of safety under these difficult conditions. Every donation brings with it a ray of hope, alleviates our suffering and gives us strength to face a new day. Please donate and support the resilience of the Gazan people, especially citizens in the north of the Gaza Strip, and share this campaign with your friends and families. Together, we can make a difference and help my family get through this ordeal. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your generosity and support. My warm greetings. Motaz

I want to save the lives of my family and escape death.

I hope you will help by donating and reblog

‏‎‏O merciful heart, O lover of goodness and giving..🥺💔🙏🏻

‏‎‏Hello, I am Oday from Gaza, Palestine 🇵🇸 This is my third account after the other two accounts were suspended. I am fighting for everyone and I just want to help with my campaign. I did not do anything illegal. I only asked for help. I created a go fund me campaign to get me and my family out of Gaza I followed my campaign and it was verified by @el-shab-hussein / We live in very difficult living conditions. I contracted viral hepatitis as a result of malnutrition, and there is no treatment here. We die every day from the heat of the tent and the insects and scorpions that constantly accompany us. My sister is about to give birth to her first child. Our biggest fear is where will this child live in these conditions? Help me bear the costs of leaving Gaza. I hope you will help us by donating or republishing. Rest assured that every $5 can make a huge difference in our lives

‏‎‏Your support and contributions are very important to us

After the hospital bombing, I finally heard back from my grandmother and confirmed that several of my relatives were murdered by Israeli bombing. Seven of them, to be precise. Three are still going, including her. We've been talking constantly ever since.

Asked if it was possible to head south, and was told they did but were also bombed there. So they decided to go back home, in Zeitoun. Their home was bombed and they were pulled out of the rumble, then driven by ambulances to the al-Ahli Arab Hospital. There were people in every corner. Gazans sheltering, sleeping on the floor. Gazans dying on the floor, waiting for beds.

Four were declared dead on arrival, three were in need of surgery and other three were just bandaged. Then, a bomb was dropped in the parking lot that made parts of the ceiling collapse, like Dr. Ghassan Abu Sittah reported in that horrific conference/interview. Those in need of surgery died.

By the way, just in case you didn't know: the Church of Saint Porphyrius, the third oldest in history, bombed by Israel a few days back, was located near the hospital.

When looking for new shelter, they saw schools with signs hanging outside, "We can't take any more families." They met families, sympathetic but already sheltering too many people. They're now staying in an apartment building they found empty. Sleeping in the corner of the living room. If the family comes back, they'll apologize and leave.

Told me she was saving her phone battery for when the bombing stopped, and she had to ask for help to rebuilt the neighborhood. But she doesn't think it's gonna stop anymore. The ones still with her are mute most of the time, like they're saving energy, but she feels lonely and wanted to talk. There's no internet and to connect to WhatsApp, people are buying "a card from the supermarket, there's a password and username." Not sure what she meant. Still, the internet is inconsistent and won't load neither videos or images nor pages, so she doesn't know what's happening on the outside world.

Told her there were a lot of people protesting to stop the genocide, she replied, "The bombings are getting worse by the day." The bombing yesterday was the worst she ever witnessed. The entire neighborhood is infested with the smell of death, of decomposing bodies. Bodies are piling up in the streets and she's not sure if it's because they ran out of places to store them, but most of them are in bags. The smoke of the bombings hide the blue sky—she hasn't seen the clouds for a while.

Asked if I could share their pictures, names and dreams with people and was told, of which I partly agree, "they're not entertainment." If anyone genuinely cared, they would be alive—I'd argue there are people who do care, but I'm not gonna lecture her pain. And they don't deserve to be used to fulfill someone's sick fantasy. Told me to remember what some Israelis do with pictures of dead Palestinians. And I do.

For those of you who are not familiar, many times before settlers got together to celebrate the murder of Palestinians. For one, in 2015, Israeli settlers set a house in Duma, West Bank on fire. An 18-month old baby, Ali Dawbsheh, was burnt alive. Both parents later died of wounds and only a 5-year-old, Ahmad, survived, although severely injured.

Two celebrations of their murder are widely known, one at a wedding and others outside the court in which two were indicted for the terrorist attack. In the wedding, guests stabbed a photo of the toddler, Ali, while others waved guns, knives and Molotov cocktails. Israel's Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben-Gvir, was present.

That's what happens in an apartheid. Palestinians are so abused by authorities that their "innocent civilians" come to accept the brutality as necessary or are desensitized by our suffering. After all, it's been 75 years—get used to it!

So I won't risk the image of my loved ones, in fear they are used in these kinds of depravity. I will say, though, the world lost a young footballer. Lost a female writer and an aspiring ballerina. Lost a kind father, who was also a great cook, and a loving mother that enjoyed sewing and other types of handicraft art. Lost a math teacher and a child that wanted to become one.

After The Hospital Bombing, I Finally Heard Back From My Grandmother And Confirmed That Several Of My

People think Israel is testing new weapons on them. There's civilians arriving at the hospital with severe burns, which they thought was from white phosphorus, but apparently the pattern is different from the one caused by white phosphorus. It's widely believed Israel tests weapons in Palestinians.

Jeff Halper, author of War Against the People, a book on Israel's arms and surveillance technology industries, said: "Israel has kept the occupation because it's a laboratory for weapons."

They've ran out of drinkable water and the "aid" Biden sent was only for the South of Gaza and no fuel, for hospitals, was allowed in. Many shelves in the supermarket are empty. She said many are convinced that if they don't die from the bombing, they'll die from starvation or dehydration, or whatever disease will develop from the dirty water they're drinking.

Told me all people do now is pray, cry and die. Told me she hopes West Bank is spared. Told her Israel bombed a mosque in West Bank and dozens of Palestinians in West Bank are being murdered by settlers, so she bided me goodbye.
