HOLY GUACAMOLE I ACTUALLY SHIFTED!!!!!

I was just talking with my friends outside on the street, then I noticed a weird leaf in the garden next to a tree we were standing under. I was like “that leaf doesn’t belong in my country??” And I looked at it for longer and I saw the surroundings very, very slightly changing around it, showing a floor of more leaves. I was thinking “wait, is this some kind of shifting thing?”

Then, I noticed I couldn’t hear my friends speaking anymore. Then I noticed I could hear birds I’d never heard before. And I became aware that the small pile of leaves had expanded to a forest!!!!

WHAT???

I was standing in the forest!!! And it was so pretty, and calm. I did the reality check thing with trying to put your hand through your palm, and it worked! I was really there! I’m no geoguesser, so I’m not really sure where I was, but it wasn’t the type of forest from my country. The trees were thick and old, and the grass was very green, but there were brown autumn leaves on the floor.

I wanted to hear what my friend was talking about though, so I just thought “I want to go back now” and I blinked and I was back in the conversation with my friend!!

ITS REAL. I SHIFTED AND IT WAS REAL.

I had to act so normal because my friends have no idea what shifting is, but omg!!!

Two things I’ve noticed about Jinx;

She never calls Silco “dad” - but she refers to Vander as “dad” twice. Once when she mentions to Vi that he’s “her father too” and again in the last episode, she directly says to him “dad?”

One thing I always was a little sad about was the idea that Jinx saw Silco as more of her father than Vander - but now I’m wondering if she EVER truly saw Silco as her dad. I mean, she never once refers to Silco as such.

Many people, including Silco, refer to Jinx as his daughter but never him as her Dad.

I do wonder if it’s due to Jinx, while clearly caring a lot about him, not viewing him that way OR some small part of her holding resentment to him because of how he killed Vander.

In addition to that; Jinx constantly refers to Vi as her sister, like ALL the time. In almost every sentence, she calls Vi “sis,” sometimes affectionately, mostly as a more of insult. But she says it at least on 7 seperate occasions in season 2 alone.

Aside from 1.03 where Silco first takes Powder in and she says that Vi is “not her sister” anymore, Jinx NEVER claims that Vi is no longer her sister.

Vi does. Multiple times in season 2, she says Powder is gone and that Jinx is not her sister. She says it to Caitlyn and to Jinx’s face herself.

It’s super interesting to me that while Jinx clearly tries to separate herself from her past and from Powder, the girl she used to be, she still clearly see Vi and Vander as her family. She’s always been Powder, that’s never changed.

Jinx has tried so hard to kill that part of herself but as long as she still views Vi as her sister, Vander as her dad, she is never going to be rid of her younger self; the girl who only wanted to protect her family.

And that’s not even touching the subject of Ekko; the only person from her past that has fully accepted her as both Powder and Jinx and loves her anyway, the only person she has not been able to bring herself to kill, the only person who never once appeared as one of her hallucinations. As such, the only person aside from Isha who she never seemed to hallucinate around.

Anyway this is just me rambling.

omg i know! i’ve never seen someone else with a twisted wonderland DR before either! it’s good to see there is another person who does 🫶 i’m probably gonna add more of my DRs to my bio so people can see if they share the same DR!

id be happy to share! my twisted wonderland DR is pretty much sticking to the plot anyways, so i am in place of Yuu! since it’s an all boys school i love the trope of “they don’t know im a girl”, so i cross dress to hide it. (≧◡≦) my name is Maddisyn Bright!

idk why, i just love that trope and love how they’ll have to figure it out! but of course they eventually find out, and everything is good! i’m shifting there for Vil and Rook (poly gang ✌️). i am SO in love with them it’s insane. i can’t wait for the day i finally see them 💜

of course since i’m following the plot pretty closely, im still ramshackle prefect, sharing a single student enrollment with grim, and have no magic, but it’s still going to be super fun! grim and i definitely see each other as family! (he’s my son fr). and my friend group will still be the freshman gang! (●´ω｀●)

oh and another huge detail i scripted was we are all adults. why is it called night raven COLLEGE, if everyone is high school age?? doesn’t make sense to me. so night raven college is ACTUALLY a college!

but crowley is still going to be an ASS to deal with, but my friends, professor crewel and professor trein will help me out a lot! (~￣▽￣)~

This week, I read a fic that was around 20 years old, which had originally been posted on the author's personal website and which she added to AO3 a few years ago. She listed her email address with the fic, so after I finished reading, I sent her an email saying how much I enjoyed the story, how much I appreciated the work and effort she obviously put into it, and thanked her for uploading it to AO3. She responded the next day and thanked me for my message, then said she had a few more stories in the same series that she hadn't gotten around to uploading. I checked this morning--she added a 35,000 word novella and thanked me in the summary.
