This was for some sort of challenge thing, but I can't remember what.
Uhhh, yeah, don't really know what's going on in this drawing π

Painting of a cockatiel β€οΈ
I remember struggling to use the neon acrylic paints because they're really translucent and only show up well on a white base.

Resizing and heels cut: Sept 22, 2021
Paper mockup: Sept 23, 2021
Glued to tights: Oct 24, 2021
Painted and glued little pieces: Oct 27, 2021
This was a later addition accompanying the mask and claws. Took inspiration from hoof heels.
Used an old pair of high heels with a large base. Cut the heels off (hacksaw and jigsaw for the final bolt/metal thingy). Also expanded the shoe size in the heel and toe areas by making vertical cuts and then sewing them to a larger size with red wire π
Then came the paper mockup that was essential for me to painstakingly figure out the template for the toes. These all got the foam clay and dremel treatment for extra detail π. The painting process went the same as the mask
I traced the bottom of the shoes onto paper and used that to cut sheets of rubber to the perfect size to act as the shoes' soles. I then glued the soles onto the black stockings when they were around the shoes. I glued the toes onto the shoes once they were done, as well as some EVA foam scales I'd made to smoothen the transition
Claws were made out of the same polymer clay as the masks' teeth and then glued into the dawgs
These are definitely my favourite component of the costume. I just think they're really sleek and fun to walk in and cool.

Ohuhu Markers on Mixed Media Paper
I've been wanting to make a duo mermaid/siren set of illustrations. So I tried to do it,,,, uhhhh I really don't like it π
I tried to use these to try and getter better at using markers... And yeah I'd be surprised if I ever tried to fix these (I def could w coloured pencils + paints, but at this point I think it's more likely that I just restart this from scratch,, esp since i don't like the mermaid's design). Most likely gonna stick to markers being a small part of mixed media pieces I do, rather than the majority.

Couldn't really think of something for 'abundance', so i did a bunch of little guys in a forest.
I was really unhappy with it in the beginning (second pic), but I decided to keep going because why not. I'm glad I did because, while I still have problems with the final piece, i like it a lot better than i would if i'd left it unfinished.

Painting of a butterfly guy I did at the cottage trip. I have a little butterfly oc thingy that I've been meaning to make an illustration of, and this was me taking that character and making them 99% butterfly.
There's a couple things I messed up on w the colouring, but what's done is done

Painting of a hockey card I was doing for my brother in-law. I worked on this for like a day and then gave up. Drawing people was not my specialty and I'm still bad at making a drawing of a person look like its real-life counterpart, so making this was frustrating.

Unfinished inktober challenge. Wanted to do a witch theme, but it didn't hold up for very long.
I like the style I was using for it, though
