Being truthful can be a chore.

If I am not honest with myself then I run the risk of living a lie. I can easily delude myself into thinking something is real and true when it is actually fake and false.

To keep myself honest, I need to ask myself questions. I must question my intentions, I must question my understanding, and I must even question my values. By posing these questions, I gain an opportunity to become more aware of myself. But how do I know my answers will be honest ones?

Unfortunately we don’t always know what we don’t know. It can be vexing to the extreme.

I’d try to have both types of happiness, reason and no reason, just to be safe.

That’s life. Isn’t it?

when it’s raining and you go grocery shopping and the only bags they have are paper bags, that’s when you feel you’re becoming evil

I think the music is always there and we just don’t notice all the time. Dancers say dancing is not a mere representation of life, but life itself. So do poets and musicians. Science says energy never dies but transforms.

I won’t lie, I admire people that don’t listen to music often. personally, if I don’t listen to music for a day I start climbing up the walls

Who’s the little guy floating? Is that you or a projection or a hope?

Every Morning Pull Yourself Up To Your Full Height And Stand Tall. Then Think Tall–think Big, Elevated

Every morning pull yourself up to your full height and stand tall. Then think tall–think big, elevated thoughts.  Then go out and act tall.  Do that and joy will flow to you.

Watched IF today. Good movie. I’m thinking Imaginary Friends are constructs of our minds and our interactions with perception. How are we different from IFs? A picture in a mirror reflecting itself endlessly. A Russian doll opening to reveal a smaller doll that may represent reality or the covering of a smaller doll that may represent reality or the covering of a…

I noticed the cracks on my cell phone screen resemble the veins of leaves. Life and destruction follow similar patterns. The definition of life giver or destroyer can be changed by perspective. Who do you want to be today?

“It Wasn’t Called Blaxploitation Until I Put My Feet In The Men’s Shoes. Men Had Done The Same

“It wasn’t called blaxploitation until I put my feet in the men’s shoes. Men had done the same type of formulaic films before I did. It wasn’t until I stepped in their shoes that they said, ‘Well, these movies are for a black audience.’ I was creating the market for films about women fighting back and using sexuality’.” -Pam Grier

Remarkable Women in History by Country: Sudan

Amanirenas

The Kingdom of Kush lay to the South of Egypt and is famous for its more pointed pyramids. Several Queens have ruled Kush, but one of the greatest is certainly Amanirenas. Ruling for about 30 years, she led her forces against the Romans in Egypt. After initial success, the Romans pushed back. A peace treaty was then signed, by terms favorable to Kush.

A contemporary of Cleopatra, Amanirenas was probably blind in one eye.
