i’ve been swallowing cigarettes with coffee for breakfast and i can’t remember the last time someone told me they loved me. i went from humming in the shower to crouching on the tiled floor heaving my lungs out not knowing where my tears began and the water ended. i always say goodbye to my loved ones as if that’s the last time i’m gonna see them because i forget to look either ways before crossing the road nowadays and find myself almost wishing to never make it to my destination while i’m inside a car or a plane. i read somewhere that “you never know when the bus is coming” so i think since then a part of me has been living in a way as if i’m always expecting for the bus to hit some days it’s ‘i better do everything that makes me happy and tell everyone i love them before it hits me’ but more often than not it’s ‘why hasn’t it hit me yet.’
I’m always a little too much for people to handle. A little too sad or a little too overbearing or maybe even a little too annoying. I’m always too much. But I was always too little for the only person I ever really loved and that really screws me up inside. I was never enough.

Good questions in a world with magic:
How does the magic work? Do you need ingredients to cast a spell or just a word? Are there more difficult rituals that must take a longer time to perform?
What are the limits for your magic? How many spells can you use before you’re “empty”? (Make sure you take into account the difference of using many simple spells up to more than one difficult spell.)
How does one gain magic power? Do they gain it from a higher power, by reading and learning from books, from genetics, or some other way? (You can always gain help with this area from D&D player’s handbooks.)
Are there forbidden spells or forbidden paths of magic? Some good examples of what is usually seen as a forbidden path or magic are necromancy and blood magic.
For the higher level spells, why are they more difficult? What about them makes them more difficult? The amount of magical power or prowess needed? The necessary ingredients? The time period needed to cast the spell?
Is magic illegal in your world? Would your character(s) need to hide that they have magic? If it’s illegal, what happened to make it illegal?

I love this
as I gaze upon the early morning mist
I’m wondering whose lips last night you kissed
and as dawn breaks into yet another day
I’m wondering how long with me you will stay
