dude if someone looked at you and went "you're still a fan of starwars? in 2024?" in a genuine manner you'd think they're fucking insane because like. really? people being fans of DSMP lore isn't a BAD THING. OR A SHAMEFUL THING? dude get off tiktok and twitter for a bit and realize that people can like things that are more then a year or two old. i know the algorithm ruined your attention spans but that's no reason to genuinely bully and harass people for liking dsmp lore in 2024. get over yourself. this also applies to homestuck, steven universe, spiderman/spiderverse (yes I've seen it), any old mcyts, fnaf, batim, and anything else you can think of. get over yourself.

i didn't know who paperjam was, so i did the best i could with drawing him from a reference image i found. really cool design, so i may actually end up drawing him again :D the entire time, he was reminding me of something, and i couldn't put my finger on it... but. i know now. it's the cartoon network color palette ^_^

I'm sorry I saw this tweet and didn't have enough room to scream on my priv.
Dream literally did nothing other than suggest blowing up L'Manberg during the Revolution until Tommy's exile. And look at how that went. After Tommy's disc finale he sat and rotted in a prison, not answering people, and existed ENTIRELY as a plot device people had to drag him to do every few months.
LITERALLY THAT'S ONE OF THE WORST PARTS OF THE SERVER. He took up being the big bad, then didn't answer people and locked himself in a prison and stalled lore and delayed things and just fucking sucked. And his important role in most people's lore could have easily been replaced by a cardboard cutout after exile ended.
BBH paid for the server. People were already getting bored as fuck when Wilbur joined. Do people seriously forget how quickly vanilla Minecraft servers died back then? Literally the introduction of L'Manberg gave people something to do other than walking up the same wooden path over and over.
Bait used to be believable. I'm sorry if you think that guy was a good actor you literally never watched Wilbur or Charlie or Quackity. I never cared for Techno's 4th wall breaks, but you can't compare a single monologue Drm made to ANY of Techno's. The amount of crazy good and memorable lines everyone else had in comparison is hilarious. He wasn't even the best actor on the Dteam and one of those dude's slept through the whole story.

Fuck that guy. He wanted to be the villain and then would fucking retcon and change shit to make sure his guy never lost. Even when the story would try to frame something as a loss for him his ass would come back months later and go UM ACTUALLY like he's the fucking JK Rowling of Minecraft Roleplay.

If killer is not some horny Twink then he's this oh so disturbed character that can't fight back to his boss and he loves cats so much and he's actually an uwu sweetheart or straight up just annoying.
If Nightmare is not being sexualized (weirdly always with him having titties) than he's taking on a "dad" role with the others. And acting almost caring towards his group.
HELL. I'VE SEEN PEOPLE MAKE THE STARS ALL FUCKED UPAND HORRIBLE TO EACH OTHER (Mostly directed towards blue 95% of the time) WHILE THEY MAKE THE BAD GUYS ALL CARING TO EACH OTHER AND SOO LOYAL. AND THAT PISSES ME OFF SO MUCH BECAUSE WHEREEE DID YOU GET THAT. NM DGAF ABOUT THEM!! THE ONLY PERSON HE MIGHT CARE ABOUT WOULD BE KILLER BUT ITD BE FOR HELLA TOXIC REASONS WHICH MAKES IT SO INTERESTING.
I don't mind taking on new in interpretations but at this point it might as well just be swapdreamtale with how they're completely missing the points of each characters.
Anyways back to NIghtkiller, again, the fandom either makes them stray from their original personalitys. And I just. Chat I can't explain how insane it drives me because it's almost irreparable at this point to get people to see them as what they canonically are rather than what fanon turned them to. IDK, maybe it's because I like to make my favorite characters stick close to canon as possible and that's my own fault

HI SO, I KNOW THIS POST IS A LITTLE OLD BUT I WANT TO ADD MY OWN THOUGHTS BECAUSE YOU ARE BOTH ABSOLUTELY CORRECT.
The thing that sets killer apart from the rest of the bad guys is that he's actually loyal to Nightmare. I personally like making the characters try and stay as close to canon as possible, and I don't truly think either Dust or Horror would willingly work for Nightmare. Dust canonically doesn't like killing and while Horrors a little more complex when it comes to violence—I don't think he's that much of a fan about what he's doing nor' the others. (He'd probably look down on both Dust and Killer for murdering their own Papyruses.) So, I honestly think that both Dust and Horror aren't loyal to Nightmare. And are only there because they're forced to a certain degree if that makes sense. Which is why I think Nightmare prefers killer so much more. Killer *is* the perfect right-hand man. The perfect "tool" in Nightmares eyes.
I never quite managed to accurately describe how I think their relationship would be, but you saying that killer would idolize nightmare to a degree has perfectly nailed it on the head. Because what does killer have left that isn't nightmare? Nightmare *saved* him in his eyes. Even if it was just to make him work with a deal—That's better than being left alone in a dying au. Isn't it?
Another thing I want to add is *how* I think their relationship would start. Specifically with nightmare
Dude, nightmare was brutally bullied and beaten as a child. The only positive interaction he ever truly had with someone was with dream at that time. Which is obviously now in bitter memory for him considering his relationship with his brother now. Killer would be the first person to truly idolize nightmare in the way he's craved for years.
Sure, Nightmare can terrorize aus and make others quiver and kneel before him. Force the respect out of them, but they'd never truly respect him in the way he wants. It's never genuine, just something done out of fear of him. Killer? Killer would be the first to do that but not out of fear or hope to have Nightmare leave him alone—Its done because he truly is loyal to Nightmare and genuinely respects him. Which I think might make Nightmare catch "feelings" in a way. Because now he's doing a new emotion so much more addicting than negativity to him. Because it's something he didn't realize he still desperately craved.
And even though Killer is almost guaranteed to stay loyal to Nightmare—The thought of Nightmare using killers respect and idolization against him is also fitting. Threatening to find someone more useful to him if Killer ever ends up failing a mission miserably. Or even trying to "reward" him by letting killer actually feel emotions with his soul. Give him a chance to feel anything other than utter emptiness even If it's only for Nightmare to use for his own benefit.
