80080 Hammersmith running round por Nigel Por Flickr: Over the weekend of 3rd, 4th, 5th May the Midland Railway centre at Butterley held their spring 2025 Victorian weekend. Alongside resident Jinty 16440 at the ehad of the vintage set Princess Royal Locomotive trust standard tank 80080 was also running on the line , first time since feb 2019. Along with staff looking resplendent as Victorians some Steam Punks also visited the event . All photos taken 3rd may 2025

It's basically OCs but for railroads. If you don't have a specific prototype that really does it for you, it's a time honored tradition in the hobby to go off and make up your own, oftentimes with *elaborate* lore. They can run the gamut from extremely serious, plausible, extremely well researched railroads with routes mapped out on Google Earth, to the John Allen school of "that's a fun idea, ship it" (see also: Emma the Organic Switcher)
It's a really fun little corner of the hobby
