ARRIVAL

A jolt woke Sarah up.

She blinked and saw the trees sliding past the car window as she propped herself up on the seat.

“We nearly there?” she asked the bearded driver Josh.

He looked back. “With us now are you? That was some sleep. Yeah, reckon an hour or so if these directions are good.”

Sarah yawned. “I didn’t get much sleep last night, I needed that.”

“Neither did I,” replied Emma from the passenger seat. She smiled over her shoulder at Sarah.

‘I know you didn’t,’ she thought. ‘I was listening to you fucking Josh in that crappy room next to mine all night’.
