A bit of summer. 

GUYS PLEASE PLEASE READ THIS IT IS SUPER IMPORTANT!!!!!

ok, so my school apparently is being taken under a new administration next year….and all of us are FAR from thrilled. my school is a pretty small one, only like a couple hundred kids, but we’re close, and we have extremely strong bonds with the teachers and faculty, they are basically our family. we found out that our current principle is not coming back next year and a new one is taking over, which is really weird for us because our principle is a guy we highly respect and trust. his family basically helped run the school, and now they are all leaving, even there kids are not going to attend next year… we were all weary and upset to be honest but accepted the fact that maybe they’re moving on to something better. a few weeks later, we found out that our history teacher was fired…. this affected us extremely hard. our history teacher was not just a teacher to us, but he was like a brother. he was younger and could relate to us and how he feels. we would have countless conversations about difficult situations and he was the only teacher who would really listen and accept us. he wouldn’t fight or try to argue our opinions like most teachers saying we’re wrong, he’d always encourage us to find the answer and try our best. he was the only one who would listen to our complaining, and try to help our problems. he truly cared and made us feel better about ourselves. he’s so sarcastic and hilarious, always joking with students. he could make anyone smile, even on the darkest of days. no one had a normal relationship with him, he was family to us, and would do anything to protect us and make us happy again. the day he told us was a day I’ll never forget. I’ve never seen a grown man cry, but I did that day. he told us he would not be coming back because this “new administration” did not need him. the thing is our teacher is getting married in just 5 monthes to the love of his life. at the beginning of the year he even showed us the proposal video, and the love and joy on his face as he watched her say yes on tape again was the cutest thing I’ve ever seen. it made us all cry. he just lost his job going into a marriage. it’s totally wrong what they’re doing. i can’t tell you how many students were crying their eyes out when they heard the news…we were devastated. we lost a family member. we found out out “guidance counselor” was fired too, basically told their job wasn’t necessary for where they were headed. above are pictures of a petition we had to save our history teacher. the whole school banded together to sign his white board - even teachers! the tears of joy streamed down his face, and the pride on his face alone was amazing. he always taught us to be leaders and be the voice for the voiceless, and he has now seen his teachings in action. the new administration doesn’t care, it didn’t do anything. they haven’t even told us or informed our parents really about these changes. all we know is from what we hear from teachers and the weird rumors…. please like and reblog this to spread awareness about this unfair, brutal circumstance. kids don’t even want to come back next year and are one by one deciding to leave. we may not persuade them, but at least we have a voice and a chance, I’m going to see how many notes this gets by June and show it to them. please help me take a stand and possibly save a young mans job or influence people and show them that they do have a voice and can make a difference. thank you for your time.

Just because I don't talk to you

So my step son told me a few weeks ago that boys can’t have painted nails, cause it’s just for girls.

I said that’s silly! Boys can paint their nails if they want to. In Fact, I paint daddy’s nails sometimes. He was amazed.

So today I broke out the nail polish, and painted daddy’s toes. Sky was like ‘you’re silly! That looks fun! Can you do my big toes?’ So I painted his big toes and then he’s like ‘this is really fun! Can you do the others?’ So I did and then he posed with his daddy.

No three year old needs gender stereotypes.

More than 1,400 dead as magnitude-7.8 quake rocks Nepal

A powerful earthquake — the country’s worst in 80 years — rocked mountainous Nepal on Saturday, killing more than 1,400 people and leveling buildings and centuries-old temples. Dozens if not hundreds remained trapped under mounds of rubble.

Hospitals in the capital of Katmandu were so crowded that many of the injured were treated outside in the open, according to local media. The magnitude-7.8 quake, which shook a wide swath of northern India and Tibet, also triggered avalanches in the Himalayas, killing at least eight people at Mount Everest’s base camp.

Nepal police said at least 1,457 people were killed.

Outside Nepal, at least 20 people were also killed in India, six in Tibet and two in Bangladesh. Two Chinese citizens died at the Nepal-China border. Given the scale of the destruction, the death toll is almost certain to rise, said Laxmi Dhakal, Nepal’s Home Ministry official. (x)

Hey everyone an earthquake of 7.9 recently just hit Nepal. The death toll is rising continuously with 700+ deaths reported as of now. Many people are feared to be trapped under the rubble and many are left homeless.Many of the historic monuments and temples have been reduced to rubble and completely destroyed. For those of you who don’t know, Nepal is a tiny country right below China. Nepal is rich in culture but poor financially and relief and rebuilding will be a difficult and extensive process. The government has declared a state of emergency. Please reblog this to bring awareness to this tragedy. Nepal needs all the support it can get. 

Hey there! My name is Meg and I’m a 16 year old girl with a rare disease called Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. EDS is a rare disease that affects every cell in my body, it is causing my body to literally destroy itself and is getting worse every day. I became ill at 13 years old, by the age of 14 i was wheelchair bound. When i was 15, i was left completely bed bound due to severe complications in my head and neck. My brain is sinking in my head, causing my spine to collapse, this is causing my brain stem to twist and spinal cord to bend - it is putting pressure on my windpipe when I move and makes breathing very difficult. The days are dark and right now, there is no light.

But i am not giving up

in order to keep fighting i need an incredibly complex surgery to stabilise and correct the problems in my cervical spine and skull.. This surgery has never been performed in my country before so i have to get american surgeons involved. There are a lot of expenses that I simply cannot afford.

I used to have a blog with 25,000 incredible followers that helped me stay strong but my blog was hacked and deleted the other day. i used my blog to raise money for my very expensive medical needs and now I’m earning nothing. I remade, with the same url, hoping that i will be able to raise/earn more money. i will not give up. i have fought so hard, i can’t give up. Confession: I have a friend who likes to text me at like 4am when he’s had nightmares or he can’t sleep or he just needs a friend. He thinks I’m always awake at 4am but really I go to bed around 12am and I change his text-tone to the loudest one I have just so it wakes me up when he needs me.

a relationship will not cure your issues, no matter how hard young adult books and films try to push that notion on us. if you have depression or bipolar or anxiety or whatever, getting into a relationship isn’t going to cure that or make it go away. person with illness + relationship = ill person in a relationship. please don’t put all of your focus on finding someone to fix you, focus on fixing yourself the right way.

saying that ppl need “proof” for a character 2 b queer honestly just solidifies the idea that heterosexual is your personal “default” and “everyone is heterosexual until proven otherwise” which is actually kinda gross tbh
