The comments are exactly what you expect. Don't think, just transition!
It's not progressive to say "women are oppressed so they should be brutalized in films for the sake of realism". Hate to break it to you, but most men are sadistic towards women, not empathetic. The male film director who recycles the violent pornography he’s consumed isn’t challenging anything. He's only desensitizing an entire audience to cruelty against women.
Heh you think you can hurt me? Bro I'm rewatching bj_horseman by my own will. You better get in line.
honestly male dogs who’ve been abused by male humans are the real male feminist allies
It’s amazing how many normie women will agree with the basic concepts of radical feminism if you don’t frame them as Radical Feminism™. Things like porn culture, sex vs gender, male violence, are all observable and radfem conclusions are logical. It’s just when you start bringing out the theory of why it’s like this that women get skittish. Which is understandable—fully understanding the breadth and depth of misogyny is scary, and for a lot of women, it’s too much, and they will disengage.
But some women won’t, and while they might not read Dworkin or call themselves radfems, they’ll be more aware of how to protect and love themselves and other women, and might become politically active if they weren’t already. That’s the end goal for me—I don’t really care what women call themselves, I’m just happy they’re striving for female solidarity and class consciousness, even if they don’t use those words.
I hate the way people talk about sex. I hate the way sex is seen by people. The fact that they think sex is about dominance and submission. That it is a relationship of dominance and submission.
Sex is – or at least should be – about exchange, trust, affection. Not about one person dominating the other. Sex is something that has all the potential in the world to be beautiful, but human beings prefer to turn it into something dirty, repulsive, dishonest, selfish, violent. This makes me extremely disappointed.
i’m sorry but what’s so crazy about thinking teens identify as trans/non-binary because it’s trendy? we’ve already seen the same thing happen with depression back in 2012-2014 on tumblr, a lot of people were faking it because it made them seem like manic pixie dream girls or whatever. what makes you think today’s teens are somehow more mature, self aware and not seeking ways to be special and unique?
Trans women are the backbone of feminism.
