imagine Sirius hadn't died, but they never really got past the whole Azkaban thing. I mean, they both thought each other was the traitor in the beginning, and Remus thought Sirius was for over a decade after he went to Azkaban. How do you get over that? How do you regain that trust?

Sirius is heartbroken, of course. He missed over 10 years of Remus' life, he missed every full moon, and Peter and James were gone, meaning he had to do them alone. He sat in a cell while he could've been helping Remus. For years. And then, the first night he sees him again, it's a full moon. Just before his transformation, Remus hugged him, and he probably would have kissed him if there weren't children there. Did you see how close his face was to his? He looked so happy to see him, so maybe they would be able to be together again?

Wrong.

Remus couldn't get over it, but really, can you blame him?

Of course it makes sense to invite Sirius to the wedding, why wouldn't they? Nymphadora is his cousin after all. But then why wouldn't the invitation come from her? At a regular time? Why did he receive it in the middle of the night from the man he's been in love with since he was young, and who was once in love with him? Why did he, the person who constantly worked to write well, the person who was constantly reading, spell such a simple word as wedding wrong?
