One thing I truly love about Mabel is that she is completely genuine and sincere weird little girl representation. She has a morbid sense of humour. She grew up with a horrifying plush bear called Bear-O and literally everybody hated him. Her prized possession is a pig whom she won at a carnival, claiming to be a witch while doing so. Her initial design for a wax figure was a fairy princess horse fairy princess. She punched a unicorn. She draws portraits of her friends on cats and sells them for a profit. Her dream boyfriend is a Bill and Ted clone who has a masters in law. She's scared of stop motion. Her uncle didn't like colours so she hatched a plan with her friends to blind him. When her uncle offered her a free gift from his shop, she took a grappling hook without even considering any other option. One time she said the sentence "it's covered in my blood, sweat, tears, and other fluids." No one is doing it like her

i love being on this site. i love the little community i’ve found and the people who follow me and the mutuals i’ve made friendships with and the mutuals that i’m still getting to know. i love it. but at a certain point it’s hard to justify spending so much time on works that get bad engagement.

Anna and Cathy’s first kiss happened on a rainy Saturday, while the rest of the queens were asleep. It was one in the morning, and Cathy was awake writing. Like always.
Anne had stumbled into the kitchen to grab a cup of water, when she noticed the other queen, tapping away on her laptop. Cathy had been too engrossed in her writing to notice Anne, and too engrossed still when she didn’t react to the water being turned on and Anne filling up her cup.
“Shit,” Anne muttered. The glass she had been holding was spilling over and getting on her hands. Pouring out a bit of the water and grabbing a towel to dry her hands, Cathy’s eyes finally glanced up.
“Anne?”
Anne blushed slightly. “Sorry, I-I didn’t mean to distract you.”
If only Anne knew how often Cathy got distracted by her smile.
“N- No it’s fine, I was nearly done anyway,” Cathy said, attempting a reassuring smile, but it came out more like a grimace.
Anne, picking up the glass, made her way to Cathy. She sat down on the seat next to her, looking at the other girl’s face illuminated by the light of the computer.
“What are you working on?” Anne asked.
“Uh, nothing much,” Cathy said, repositioning herself on the chair. “You can read it if you want. But you don’t have to, I mean no pressure or anything. It’s probably stupid anyway.” Cathy stared at her hands. She hadn’t meant for it to all rush out like that. Damn, she hoped Anne didn’t think she was being pushy.
“No, I’d love to read it. I’m sure it’s great,” Anne smiled, taking the laptop and propping it against her knees.
Cathy watched the other girl’s eyes move from one line to the next. Anne was smiling softly, and when she neared the bottom of the page, she reached out and held Cathy’s hand.
“It’s really good,” Anne said enthusiastically, with a twinkle in her eyes when she’d finished.
Cathy dipped her head, smiling at the praise.
She took the laptop and placed it on the table in front of her. She looked back at Anne, who was fidgeting with the hem of her pajama shirt.
“Can I kiss you?” Anne asked suddenly.
“What?” Cathy said, despite hearing Anne perfectly well.
“Can I kiss you?’ Anne repeated, looking at Cathy’s lips and then her brown eyes.
Anne’s mind was going in spirals. I shouldn’t have said that. What if she doesn’t like me? What if she says no? What if I’ve ruined everything?
“Yes,” Cathy's soft voice cut through Anne’s thoughts. Anne’s eyes widened. She couldn’t believe what she was hearing.
“Of course you can kiss me.”
Anne hesitantly put a hand on Cathy’s cheek, playing with the curls by her ear. She moved her head closer, just barely connecting their lips.
Cathy felt the tickle of breath against the top of her lip, Anne’s soft lips brushing gently against Cathy’s. She couldn’t wait any longer. She wouldn’t wait any longer.
In a burst of newfound bravery, Cathy pushed her lips closer to Anne, taking the other girl’s face in between her hands.
Anne opened her eyes momentarily, shocked by Cathy. She smiled into the kiss, moving her hands onto Cathy’s waist.
The two eventually broke apart, smiling giddily. They ended up sharing kisses all the way into the morning, when they were found by Kat they were cuddled together in each other's arms and fast asleep.
