guillermo de la cruz is literally THE most character of all time. hes gay. hes latino. hes fat. hes badass. hes sexy. hes a serial killer. hes a mamas boy. hes insane. hes the most normal one here. hes by birth and lineage a vampire killer. hes spent 13 years trying to become a vampire. hes my best friend hes my pal, my homeboy, my rotten soldier, hes my sweet cheese my good time boy
John Doe is a really great eldritch horror monster, he really is, but I cannot take him seriously as one because he sounds like he’s talking through a Pringles can.
what she says: I’m fine
what she means: tybalt capulet is just as complex as the other teenagers in the play. there’s so much hidden history to unpack regarding him and his family, and all of it brings new depth to his character. for example, why does he live with his aunt and uncle as opposed to his immediate family? why is he constantly, fervently seeking to protect the capulet name like he’s trying to prove something to someone? and also, why is he treated the way he is by lord capulet? they only interact a few times, and when they do, it’s very charged and not at all familial. why is that? there are so many approaches you could take to tybalt’s character, but so many adaptions resort to making him a clear-cut villain, which ultimately undermines the message of the play by implying that there are “good” and “bad” sides to the feud, when in reality it was a pointless fight between two groups of adults that their children got mixed up in for no reason at all. tybalt is just as much of a mf victim as romeo and juliet, and adaptions need to start realizing this
ok so there’s a game me and my friends play called “don’t get me started” and basically someone gives another person a random topic and they have to go on an angry rant about it and it’s the best thing that’s ever happened to us at parties and car rides so I highly recommend playing sometimes with your friends
the fact that elias hired martin to be a disposable assistant to jon but in the end martin was the only archival assistant jon managed to save
Consider: live action adaption of Malevolent where Doug Jones plays the King in Yellow, and whoever plays Arthur Lester has to mimic The Hand Thing with his left hand when John talks.
Sea shanty about a crew disappearing at sea but as it’s sung fewer and fewer people are singing until it’s just one person left.
