how you can use social media in a healthy way

set your intention:

what use do you want to make of social media?

which apps do you want to keep using and which not (or reduce their consumption)?

how much time are you spending on it? how much do you want to spend on it?

establishes limits of use:

you can activate or deactivate certain applications when you are no longer using them so that they do not distract you or add a time limit depending on how much time or how many days a week you want to use the app.

how to set the time of use?:

ios:

settings > usage time > limit app usage > add limit

you can also limit apps only in focus, work, do not disturb or whatever mode you have set.

settings > focus > the category in which you want to activate it > focus filters

android:

settings > well-being and parental controls > set time for your apps

pros and cons:

make a list of where social media is good for you and where it is bad for you. anything that is hurting you stop watching or following.

value your real time:

not having social media or having control over it brings you more in your life and personal growth. for example, how many of us have woken up and the first thing we have done was to look at instagram or another social network and that has made us lose time of our morning? instead you can do a short meditation or breathing to start the day off right, it also reduces stress and anxiety.

just think about how much you spend a week being stuck in social media and imagine what activities you could develop in that time.

other tips:

look for an activity you would like to try

socialize more with your friends

keep your cell phone away from you or in a “do not disturb” or “concentration” mode when you are engaged in an activity

spend more time in nature

uninstall or deactivate those apps that no longer benefit you, try it for a while.

don't take anything personally from what people may share there.

conclusions:

when you have a routine, things to do, you don't pay as much attention to being online all the time, so it's not such a hard task. i'm not saying stop using your phone but i'm writing this post for all those people who spend all day scrolling or really spend a lot of time watching tik tok or instagram, that's not healthy in the end.

of course you can still use social media but with knowledge and in a way that does not harm you or does not compromise your time too much. the most important thing is not to be glued to a phone watching what others do but enjoy your life.

How to do a “dinosaurs kill everyone” without making just murder monsters

Make them pissed off and vengeful.

Take the idea of “humans hunting in a dimension where dinosaurs haven’t gone extinct idea”.  And then cut off their supplies.

Imagine a large carnivore killing humans stuck in its territory systematically once it realizes they aren’t firing guns due to being out of ammo. And since its not hungry, its piles the bodies for later.

Its not roaring like a maniac, its not wasting energy running. It is leisurely taking them out. Imagine it taking shortcuts at a leisurely stride while humans run in panic.

Edit: And you get back to your vehicle only to find the local herbivores tearing it apart with the type of anger towards inanimate objects you normally see in bighorn sheep.

reminder that now more than ever, participating in small scale acts of community aid and activism is extremely important. there is a lot you can still do despite shifts in government figures. people feel defeated when certain laws and bills are passed, and certain politicians shuffle in and out of office. it's okay to feel this way, but there is so much we can still do to help each other that isn't illegal and/or you will not be stopped or killed for

participating in food distributions is vital. check to see how your local food bank/s distribute food and how you can help. many churches have food and resource distributions, as well as libraries. libraries in general have amazing resources on top of the books they provide and i highly recommend volunteering at a library when and where possible. it's vital for helping people get resources and apply for government aid when and where possible

see if you can get involved with local groups like Food Not Bombs who distribute free, generally vegan or vegetarian, hot meals to anyone who shows up who is not a cop. preparing meals is easy when a lot of people are participating. you don't have to be able to donate food in order to help with distributing it

check to see if there are safe injection sites in your area. check to see if there are any programs to help homeless substance users get clean needles and sharps disposals. check to see if there are harm reduction events and other outreach programs that provide narcan and other important life saving medications and information

contact your local homeless shelters and see what you can do to get involved with homeless outreach programs for all kinds of people, especially those that fall through the cracks of common programs. see if you can provide or run crowdfunding events for heaters, blankets, food, socks, jackets, hygiene products and other necessities to homeless people in your area.

check to see if there are lgbt spaces in your area and if they need volunteers or anyone to help them. you may be able to help run groups for specific queer groups or attend them and help boost numbers to get those programs more funding. see if you can help give information to queer folk in your community who need resources including but not limited to trans friendly primary care providers, OBGYN services, HRT, surgery, hair removal procedures, and so on. see if it's possible to arrange programs for queer people who need safe transportation

there are a lot more options but if you're feeling down about how things are currently, there are a lot of ways you can help your community with minimal effort much of the time. it doesn't take much at all to help your local community. you'll get help in return by gaining exposure to new resources you weren't familiar with previously. there's a lot we can do for each other

I'm so happy Ryan Coogler hired Yvonne Chireau as his Hoodoo consultant for "Sinners'. That man really respects our roots. Yvonne don't play about Black American culture and our connections to spirit and Africa. Her books and lectures are always on point

The Hunger Games, Actual Teen style!

On the left, 15-year-old Josh Hutcherson.

On the right, 16-year-old Jennifer Lawrence.

Think how much creepier it would be to see them killing other kids when they look so squishy-cheeked and little.

Practicing witchcraft without relying on pseudosciences involves focusing on the aspects of the craft that are rooted in personal empowerment, psychology, and symbolism. Here are some suggestions:

Intention Setting: Clearly define your intentions and goals. This is a psychological practice that helps you stay focused on your objectives.

Symbolism: Use symbols and tools that hold personal meaning for you. The power comes from your connection to these symbols rather than any inherent magical properties.

Meditation and Mindfulness: Incorporate meditation and mindfulness practices to enhance your focus, mental clarity, and connection to your inner self.

Energy Work: Instead of viewing energy in a mystical way, consider it as a metaphorical representation of your mental and emotional state. Practices like grounding and centering can be beneficial.

Herbology and Aromatherapy: Explore the psychological and physiological effects of herbs and scents. Use them for their known properties rather than relying on magical attributes.

Candle Magic: Utilize candles as a symbolic tool. The act of lighting a candle can represent bringing light to a situation or setting an intention.

Oracle Cards: If you use Oracle cards, treat them as a tool for introspection and self-reflection. It can be a way to access your subconscious thoughts rather than using Tarot for predicting the future.

Moon Phases and Seasons: Align your practices with moon phases and seasonal changes. This can be a way to stay connected to the natural cycles of life.

Journaling: Keep a magical journal to document your experiences, thoughts, and the results of your practices. This can help you track your personal growth and insights.

Self-Reflection: Regularly reflect on your beliefs, practices, and experiences. Be open to adjusting your approach based on what resonates with you personally.

Remember, the key is to find practices that align with your own beliefs and resonate with you on a personal level. It's even more beneficial to add practices to suit your understanding of the world and your own psychological well-being.

Ten places to rest for a hundred years

Abandoned Castles, truly a classic, everyone loves castles, if there are none nearby Manors work just as well

Forest floor, another popular choice, especially if there’s moss, would not recommend if your scared of bugs, and you might get stepped on

Seaside Caves, sounds from the ocean, the light reflecting off the water is truly beautiful, but you might run into a problem with The Tide

Hollow tree/Stump, might be difficult to find the right spot but once you do it’s really cozy, again would not recommend if your scared of bugs

Catacombs, a very gothic choice, a good place if you need it to be dark and quiet to sleep, not great if your scared of dead things

Under a Lake / in a bog, obviously it’s not for everyone but it’s beautiful, it’s quiet, and your not disturbed as much as a forest floor

Any caves, it can be easy or difficult to find you, for the most part it’s dark and quiet, you aren’t disturbed, Claustrophobia might stop you

Become a statue, if your able to do it I would recommend you do it at least once, maybe not for your first time though

Trapped inside objects, it could be jewelry, lanterns, Weapons, crystal balls, candelabras, all easy to store and travel with

In the middle of a labyrinth/Maze, your undisturbed, there’s room to add fun little traps and tricks, truly underrated

📧 -> to get me motivated before cleaning, i like to imagine that I've invited a really hot person to my house and they're going to see my room. works like a charm.

this is a guide for people who struggle to get motivated when cleaning their room, or for people with ADHD like me who get side-tracked and easily bored!!

step O1 -> clean up any dishes 𝜗𝜚

you don't have to wash them right now, just get them out of your room!

step O2 -> throw out any visible food-related trash 𝜗𝜚

food packets, scraps etc.

step O3 -> pick up and put away anything red 𝜗𝜚

i get bored easily when cleaning, so i like to split things up by picking up colour-coded things too! this has helped me the most when keeping a tidy space.

step O4 -> throw away any makeup related trash 𝜗𝜚

make up wipes, q tips, makeup packaging, etc

step O5 -> pick up any makeup products 𝜗𝜚

put them back on your dresser / wherever you store them!

౨ৎ ⁺ . My Bedroom Cleaning Formula .ᐟ 🎀

step O6 -> pick up anything orange 𝜗𝜚

step O7 -> pick up any paper, cardboard, etc 𝜗𝜚

loose sheets of paper, cardboard packaging, etc. put it in the recycling!

step O8 -> pick up any dirty washing 𝜗𝜚

you don't have to wash them right now, just put them in the washing basket!

step O9 -> pick up anything yellow 𝜗𝜚

step 1O -> pick up and put away any clean clothes 𝜗𝜚

make sure to fold them !!

౨ৎ ⁺ . My Bedroom Cleaning Formula .ᐟ 🎀

step 11 -> pick up any craft materials / stationary 𝜗𝜚

pens, pencils, erasers, markers, etc

step 12 -> pick up anything green 𝜗𝜚

step 13 -> pick up any accessories 𝜗𝜚

jewelry, hair accessories, hats, scarves, etc

step 14 -> put away anything beauty related 𝜗𝜚

skincare, nail polish, hair brushes, perfume, etc

step 15 -> pick up anything blue or purple 𝜗𝜚

౨ৎ ⁺ . My Bedroom Cleaning Formula .ᐟ 🎀

step 16 -> make your bed! 𝜗𝜚

a clean bed is a literal game changer. makes your whole room suddenly look neater.

step 17 -> put away any entertainment 𝜗𝜚

books, cds, toys, games, etc

step 18 -> pick up anything pink 𝜗𝜚

step 19 -> pick up anything monotone 𝜗𝜚

white, grey, and black !

step 2O -> rearrange things! 𝜗𝜚

neaten up your bookshelf, dressing table, desk, wardrobe, etc

౨ৎ ⁺ . My Bedroom Cleaning Formula .ᐟ 🎀

Now you're basically done! things should (hopefully) seem a lot less stressful now that everything's where it should be. 🫧🧁

the last step is just to vacuum, dust, and wipe down any surfaces!
