not to be like "i think of leon as a person and not some hot guy to fuck", but i have noticed in fanfic that people dont really flesh out leon's character traits outside of "things they think men enjoy" or that make him a docile spouse?

like im going over all the fic ive written about leon and i've made him a hobbyist collector of rocks he finds interesting, he does have a passion for cars and motorcyles (making me do real research on vehicle types/brands), he gets into needle felting when hes retired so he can use his stabby skills to create things instead of kill, he trusts himself to cook maybe 6 or 7 recipes without a guide that arent just toss it into a hot pan, his favorite treat as a kid was fudge because its the only way his mom could make chocolate last in their house, he loves to play billiards and air hockey and is good at skating, over time he views sparring as less of a way to hone his body into a weapon and more as a type of stress relief, when he does drink to cope its not until he blacks out, but its a steady process over the span of days where he slowly lets his house fall out of order, and then the right people nudging him a few times gets him back on his feet to clean everything up, his sense of humor gets crude the more comfortable he is with someone, hes the type to find someone he knows at a party and talk with them as a warm up before talking to strangers, he'll eat peanut butter straight from the jar or bite into a block of cheese and put it back in the fridge, "uh" is used regularly when he's fumbling for what to say, the closest he's gotten to any tattoos or piercings are temporary types or clip-ons for an operation cause he's too straight laced to give himself such identifying markers, he falls back on sexism to keep women from getting close emotionally, he hates the smell of the disinfectant soap he has to use after a mission, and many other things

almost all of these arent nor will ever be supported by canon, but having them in my mind makes it easier to write a leon that isn't just there to be fucked or Go Through The Horrors

No because you don’t even have to worry, I will absolutely keep writing. Weskennedy has me in a chokehold. Like, at this point it’s not even a choice. I could be on my deathbed and still whispering “...Leon blushes as Wesker smirks wickedly…” before flatlining.

Honestly, I’ve got a whole backlog of fic ideas just waiting to be written, and I fully plan to keep adding more. At this point, it’s less of a phase and more of a lifestyle.

Also. ALSO. You are so right. How did Wesker and Leon never interact in canon??? Make it make sense!! They were involved in so many of the same events. Wesker was literally watching everything from the shadows and not once did he dramatically monologue at Leon?? Capcom fumbled so hard

And you are so real for that last comment. I also came for the hot men, but stayed for the angst, obsession, and enemies-to-lovers intensity. Now I’m just out here trying to build the canon they should have had 😔
