much love. but i do not ever need to hear real life animatronics compared to fnaf in any capacity. scott cawthon is just some republican and he did not invent the concept of animatronics
.......Guys, have we seriously just. Forgotten what Scott did.
What the fuck. What the fuck what the fuck what the fuck. Was there some grovelling I missed or something???? Or are we seriously just fully, completely ignoring that the ONE THING his shitty 'apology' actually said (he would be stepping back) was complete and utter bullshit????!
Reblog to get whacked by this thing
Everytime this is reblogged, JK Rowling steps on a lego
Man, I really feel bad for the Dinotopia guys. They built this whole intricate, creative, enrapturing world, and it was going to be the next big thing. It was gonna be the next franchise. They got George Fucking LUCAS to make a screen adaptation of it. Yeah, the starwars guy. Then midway through production he realizes how much he loves making movies and decides to ditch your project and make the prequels instead. They say there's no bad blood but... man it would fucking kill me to go to the theater and see Naboo and think "Fuck, that coulda been waterfall city"
There still was a franchise. They did eventually make spinoff paperback novels and video games and there were even a couple screen adaptations, but they were done by Lifetime and Hallmark. The lifetime one is actually surprisingly good given its budget. It tells a story that mirrors the structure of the original picture book, two brothers get marooned on Dinotopia, one of them rides a pterosaur and then they have to stop a dude named Krab from stealing a crystal that he needs to make an ancient machine get him off the island... but it's not a reboot or anything, it's the same continuity as the books. I guess guys named Krab really do be stealing crystals every generation or so. It's not really that bad of a series but damn it could have been George Lucas!
I dunno, I just find myself thinking about it. It was a uniquely artistic and non-violent series for its time. All of the dinosaurs and people live in harmony. There used to be a steampunk cyber empire of capitalists who tried to replace dinosaurs with the coolest looking robots you could imagine, but then there was a revolution and they all live in communistic harmony with no real currency. Each according to their need, each to their own ability. All that Jazz.
I'm certainly more normal about it than I am say The Underland Chronicles but I still find myself thinking about those gorgeous communist dinosaur picture books. In another reality, Battleborn won over Overwatch, Galidor never got its budget cut and was actually a smash success, Warner bros actually did something with the TUC film rights, and Kids in the 00s grew up with Dinotopia instead of the Starwars prequels.
Simon's name doesn't even show up in the trailer đ
It's so over...
Sigh. Is nothing sacred.
Tales from the Loop was amazing but this is the kind of thing that I don't think lends itself to a film adaptation. Especially not with Crisp Rat, especially especially not one with Crisp Rat directed by the Russos. Tonal change from the book is inevitable I fear.
Alright y'all be real with me, was Joker Folie a Deux actually bad or are redditors being confronted with the fact that they didn't actually get a movie they've built their personality around again?
tbh i'm expecting it to be some shit like "omg Harley had agency? killing myself women don't do that, what happened to chad alpha Joker who I want to be like"
Another new critique video I mostly agree with, this is made by the same person who made that âHow to waste a villainâ Stella video. Iâm sorry but the female characters just donât get the proper focus and time the same way the male characters do. Theyâre all obstacles for the male characters, mainly Stolas and Blitz because the show is fucking revolved around them. Octavia canât be a character on her own or focused on alone without be attached to her father, Millie has the personality of stale bread and is attached to Moxxie, having absolutely NOTHING going on for her other than being a southern bad ass fighter, Verosika is just a standard tool for Blitzâs âdevelopmentâ to show that heâs a 2 dimensional character who deep down âcaresâ despite Verosika not even showing up since episode 7, Loona is an unlikable bitch who never changes even when the show tries to give her a sad backstory and have her be âlonelyâ, and mainly only gets focus when the show wants to dive into her relationship with Blitz despite that never changing either, and finally Stella is a one note boring bland villain who could have been a 2 dimensional character that actually had a relationship with her daughter and still been the antagonist, just EXPLORED more to make her actually interesting, but we canât have that since the all the show wants to do is suck off Stolas and Blitz and paint them in a godlike light where they never get the consequences of their actions and get praised for being â2 dimensionalâ.
The funny thing is that I say Millie has the personality of stale bread, but honestly? This is just my opinion but I think almost all of Vivâs female characters have the personality of stale bread, or theyâre at least so by the numbers like I said before. I literally donât blame the fandom for favoriting the male characters more because the female characters are so bland and uninteresting compared to the males, and thatâs the writers faults because you can smell the favoritism. They all try so hard to make characters like Blitz and Stolas into 3 dimensional characters that they push the others to the back and only focus on THEIR perspectives and are so AFRIAD to actually paint them as flawed beings that can be in the wrong and do bad things that arenât excusable. I think that pretty much sums up Vivâs outlook on her male characters as a whole. She tries so hard to make most of them either 3 or 2 dimensional, especially the ones she favors and are her âbabiesâ, she adds so many things to them, once again being an overly ambitious writer, for example look at all the things sheâd added to Angel and Alastorâs characters over the years compared to Charlie or Vaggie. Even fucking Husk has more stuff to him than Charlie or Vaggie does. This is why everyone thought Charlie was so fucking boring compared to Alastor or Angel because she is. She only has one thing to her and isnât developed enough to even be interesting compared to them. While the majority of her male characters are either 3 or 2 dimensional, her females are either 2 dimensional (but flat) or 1 dimensional, having basic labels to them like âthe nice but snarky oneâ or âthe edgy mean bitchâ.
Viv just clearly enjoys writing and developing her male characters more and thatâs been clear even before Hazbin came along. I donât understand why both her male and female characters canât be interesting. Whatâs so hard about creating a female character thatâs on part with her males? Whatâs so hard about putting the same energy and effort she does for writing characters like Angel, Blitz, and Stolas for a female one? Whatâs so hard about making her females 3 dimensional and engaging? Iâll never get it. In my personal opinion guys, I donât think the show is sexist nor do I think Vivzie as a person is, but one thing is clear, whenever she creates a female character, she sees a VERY limited option on what they should be like. Itâs like she doesnât know ANY other kind of tropes or character quirks outside of being eye candy or extremely edgy, and thatâs the problem. No character should be so damn limited or by the numbers, any character can be many things as long as you put your mind and effort to it, and thatâs something Viv and HB writing team hasnât done. They would rather focus on their male twink yaoi fanfiction soap opera that HB has become, and as for Hazbin? Iâm expecting the same thing honestly, just the female characters to be mainly flat and the males being more dimensional and developed.
Holy fuck đł
