The only stuff that made it from the book into the movie are some of the aesthetics, Michelle's name, and her motivation to find her brother.

Michelle dyed her blonde hair black because she wanted to distance herself from the "popular" girls and to spite her foster mom (who Michelle beat over the head with a lunch tray after she mocked her for wanting to dye her hair). Kind of important to her character. They keep her blonde in the movie for some fucking reason.

Michelle had a girlfriend who broke up with her after a crazy priest converted her. Heartbreaking to read.

Michelle found her brother's body rotting away in a house while wearing a Neurocaster. Still alive and in control of Cosmo.

It is implied that she and him rowed out into the ocean in a kayak to be swallowed by the waves.

Cultist working for the hivemind hunting for her brother as well, possibly what Giancarlo Esposito's character was based on though I doubt it.

I searched the entire Internet for ideas of Stella's demonic form... I only like the naked skull of a bird, I didn't want to draw lots and lots of eyes like vivzipop, because I was already tired of seeing it in every character.

They always mentioned how she s/a him but if you dare bring up the idea that Stolas sexually coerced Blitzo then you get tons of justification saying it's Blitzos own fault. It's one thing to always be a villain but it's another thing to be a villain you find in shipping fanfiction to justify having your pairing get together without being condemned for cheating.

I'm getting so tired of the fnaf fandom excusing all of Scott's horrible partnering choices with the whole "he probably didn't know" argument. it's quite literally his responsibility to do research before signing off on deals with his franchise and entering a partnership with another brand. not taking that time to do bare-bones research is problematic in its own way and shouldn't just be a "well, that's Scott!" moment.

if you care about Palestine, please do not support any of Jazwares collaborative designs with fnaf. they donate funds to the brothers for life charity (and more) that support the IDF. hold people accountable for their actions. at worst Scott is a zionist, and at very best he does absolutely 0 research on who he works with. it's wild how many times this issue comes up of trying to decipher his beliefs based on business decisions.
