that in the Chinese version of Disney’s Mulan, the fake name she gives is “Ping”, but her family name “Fa” in English is “Hua” in Chinese, therefore her full name is “Hua Ping”, which is literally “Flower Vase”, and that’s why Shang is so bewildered because it’s a silly name.

Ok 1 person liked it so I get to YAP. I’ve been reading this series so much it’s so kewl and I’m trying to get back into SDV so I made an AU. Simon is the dumb farmer who just moved to town and became friends with the local jock (Alex) and Baz is the son of Morris. Baz is “a stuck up snooty prick” in Simon’s words and Simon is “dumb, slow, and idiotic” in Baz’s words. Simon is being trained by the Wizard (who is a stand in for the Mage) and helping rebuild the community center while our favorite little vampire watches in the shadows. Weird, am I right? One day, while Baz is walking along the (rainy) beach, Simon walks up and gives him a shell (bc he was holding it) and Baz just… stares for a second and is like “Don’t give me shit” and Simon just walks off. The next time they meet, Simon (even with his magic sword) gets his ass beat in the mines and Baz (mines being like the catacombs) scoops up Simon and takes him back to the surface (but why does he have to smell so nice). That’s all I have for now but I love them so much and it’s so fun!
