Before that humanity had separate stations, but now we explore the grandest of mysteries united. This great effort of space exploration demands peaceful compromise and cooperation. There are now millions of children who know space in this way. So, when you feel that life is heavy. If the news tells you that we have failed. If you are beginning to loose hope. Just look up. Know that this is the future of our Species: On a Station orbiting Earth once every 90 minutes, the peaceful ascent of humanity into the Solar System has begun. This is the beginning of our great journey.

but nope, “rogue” these days is a word that means “posting real climate change facts that your president doesn’t want you to know”

Today is "pretend to be a time traveler day": It is December 8, 1918 and we're well-into what's being called the second wave of this deadly flu. I have one chance to travel to the future to find a cure and save mankind. But to when do I travel? There are no hints or clues to guide me. I must rely on logic and fate. For logic, I suppose a century would be sufficient time for scientists to rid the world of all that ails mankind. For fate, this is the second wave of the flu. So, 102 years into the future I boldly go.

I think this is what I liked best about the movie... and grown-up Luke's sense of humor.

Gonna be stating some possible unpopular Star Wars opinions here, but here goes…

When I was watching The Last Jedi, I thought to myself, “is this the part that got the fans angry?” before and after every scene because all throughout the whole movie, I kept waiting for that anger inducing moment, but it never came.

In my point of view, the venom that these fans are spewing is for one core reason…they’re violently upset that the characters they worshipped and placed on a pedestal for all the years Star Wars has been around for have turned out to not be what they appear. They turned out to be human, flawed, and fallible, and the hardcore fanboys couldn’t handle it.

The biggest message this movie expressed was that transforming human beings into legends, worshiping them as gods, and turning people into symbols for incorruptible purity or irredeemable darkness will only lead to ruin. This movie drove home that human morality is a messy, complicated, chaotic force and shouldn’t be viewed in stark shades of black and white.

Feel free to disagree, but this is where I stand on the subject.
