The amount of "joking" hostility people display in the tags for their gravity falls posts is impressive.

You're scrolling through and you catch the OP policing interpretations (usually) billford, as if people where mis-tagging left and right. Even on posts with very little engagement.

The only reason I ever had to do that, was people mis-tagging my art as fiddauthor, even when I wrote in big bold red letters that wasn't my intention.

Fiddauthor is so popular people treat it like the default, but billford? I dunno people are pretty shit to anyone who likes Bill let alone ships him with anyone. I doubt there are many people going around assuming stuff is billford especially given the casual hostility.

It seems a little overkill?

Don't worry, with the amount of rudness, joking or otherwise, I wasn't about to dare commit the crime of interpreting x as y, even as a joke heavens forbid.

Sod off. Its unnecessary and makes others feel unwelcom or wrong.

I understand not liking something but this behaviour feels like it justifies being an asshole on the basis of a difference of opinions.

Point is shipping anything other than fiddauthor in this fandom fuxking sucks. You have people assuming your stuff is fiddauthor unless specified otherwise, and then you have people telling others (With much more hostility) that you shouldn't interpret this as billford. On a post with less than a 200 notes where no one was even doing that in the first place.

These are popular artists who's stuff I see everywhere.

They're not doing anything wrong by specifying dislike or discomfort. But their collective attitude about it, coupled with their popularity, creates an impression of superiority and high-horsedness.

As well as this wierd "correct vs false" idea even though its more "popular vs unpopular"

Sooo here’s an untitled (edit: now with a title!) Billford drabble for @leukaraii as my contribution for the late Secret Santa event held in the Billford Discord chat. Happy late holidays or whatever the occasion is! =^^=

Rated mild M for (very mild) dubcon. Expect dialogue-driven penthouse shenanigans and Bill being meta af.

”And then he said – hold on… He said… I said wait…”

“You’ve been saying that for, like, five minutes already.”

“You-u shut up! Time is dead, I killed it… Hey, where’s my punch? Ronnie, someone drank my punch…”

“It was you, Billy. You drank the punch.”

“Liar, liar, pants on fire! Pfft- hahaha! Get it, guys? Her pants are – wait… She’s not wearing pants… That’s… against the dress code. You’re breaking the rules, Py!”

“But Boss, you said there’s no rules.”

“…You’re not wearing pants, Kryptos. You dare come to my party with no pants on and still claim to pledge your all… allieg… allegiance to me? Huh?”

“No offense, but you’re not wearing pants, either.”

“Yeah, I mean, there’s literally no one in this room who’s wearing pants.”

“Everybody stop questioning me! This is my party! My rules! Nobody respects my rules… except this guy… He’s wearing pants, see? He’s a gentleman, like myself! He’s the only one who gets me… C’mere, Fordsy…”

“Ugh, get a room, you two!”

“You know what? I think we will! He’d probably be intimidated by the sight of you pantless savages, anyway. Just me and him, we have a nice talk, catch up, bury the hatchet, shake on it, and we’ll be back to partying in no time! With or without pants – to be honest, I wouldn’t mind either!”

“Room. Now.”

It's Ace Week!

Not sure if I ever said this here before, but I am on the side who believes that Ford never actually said that he was going to kick Stan out. All he said was for Stan to give back his [Ford's] house, his name, and end the Mystery Shack.

Ford could've easily said he wanted Stan out, but he didn't. While I have no doubt that Ford might be projecting an attitude similar to Filbrick, I don't think Ford would want to kick his brother out like their father did.

However, I would not blame Stan for thinking that was the case due to Ford's tone. Ford wasn't exactly sparring Stan's feelings on the matter. And, hell, he might as well have told Stan to take a hike when he said he wanted the Mystery Shack (Stan's business that he worked hard on) to shut down, even if he didn't mean it like that.

And was Stan meant to do then? Just...loit around?

Not only that, but I don't think that Ford has that grant money anymore...or any money, for that matter. The Mystery Shack would've provided some sufficient funds.

Sometimes, I wonder if Ford didn't think that through, believing that upon taking everything back and returning to his research, it would be like nothing happened...

Sort of similar to Stan's own previous attitude about the situation.

Everything is very simple. Billy is going to one very important meeting 😏
