Me: i have a reasonable attachment to this character and definitely don't project heavily onto him and adore him as a father figure because I'm desperate for validation-
Sinclair:
Me: .......so you're my dad now
Panera has just released a line of swimsuits that say only SOUP in huge letters on them and I thought of you
PANERA? BREAD??
If Eleanor is the protagonist in future installments, if 2K is going with the Bioshock 2 canon, I hope they keep her as badass as she is. Like, if you want to make things challenging, make the splicers more mutated so they can keep up with her (like the amphibian splicers from concept art), but don’t do what Burial at Sea did with Elizabeth and take away her powers.
Playing as Eleanor should be fun as hell, you can choose to stealth, but if you want to go in guns blazing and rip through enemies, you can do that too. She wouldn’t use guns giving her backstory, let us be able to flip over enemies and impale them with our needles, let us be able to fling fireballs and toss splicers around like rag dolls.
I’d also love flashbacks from Delta’s perspective as she can see his memories. Given how Bioshock’s good ending is canon, I’m gonna assume 2′s good ending is canon as well. Flashbacks of Johnny Topside before being sent to Persephone, the Big Daddy program, and him and Eleanor bonding would be awesome. Maybe New Years Eve 1958 from her perspective? Delta and Sinclair on the train in between levels bonding, Auntie Grace and little Eleanor coping with Sofia being sent to Persephone??? Stanley being terrifying????
Returning characters? Hell, yes give me returning characters. Older, weary Tenenbaum and Porter trying to keep Rapture a secret from world governments and them and Eleanor making an iconic trio, an adult Cindy Meltzer, Jack finally being seen in person and not through shadows, and determinant characters’ fates such as Grace and Lamb being shown.
I’m just saying, there’s a lot more to explore with the aftermath of Rapture and Eleanor Lamb.

Hello, Todd, looks like you’re awake. You have built yourself a reputation of disappointing your fans and frustrating your employees with an outdated engine. Let’s play a game; one I’m sure, you’re quite familiar with. Before you is the source code for Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Almost all of the bugs expertly ironed out by what loyal fans you have left. There are five bugs left in the game, representing the five different, near-identical versions of the game. Each bug contains a number in the code that is part of the combination used to unlock the chains binding your wrists. For each time the game crashes, a bar in the ceiling above your head will slide away revealing a crate filled with unsold copies of Skyrim: Legendary Edition for the Xbox 360. Once there is no longer any supports, the crate will come crashing down, and Skyrim will be “released” upon its final platform: your broken body.
