Faramir and Eowyn <3
do u ever just think about the fact that molly weasley saw HARRY POTTER, the boy who defeated voldemort, and went “i’m gonna knit this kid a christmas sweater”
So book!Faramir will look at movie!Faramir and do that whole "I'm you but stronger thing" but then add he's stronger than most people because the guy's exceptional and he knows it, and he will praise movie!Faramir's resilience in overcoming the Ring regardless and say he's proud of him and movie!Faramir will be gracious in regards to his faults and thankful for the recognition of his own strength and then they'll get talking about the impact of the parenting styles of book!Denethor and movie!Denethor on their own characters and get into a friendly debate as to the true meaning of self and freewill, because book!Faramir and movie!Faramir are both lovely, intelligent people and utter nerds and all conversations will end up being about Eowyn anyway.
Once upon a time, they had been strangers. Funny to look back at that time now, as though there ever could have been a part of life where they weren’t friends.
It had started small, a smile, a wave. Then the first conversation, the discovery of a shared interest.
(Saving each others’ lives a time or two didn’t hurt either.)
And somewhere along the way, between great adventures and the small, mundane things that build a life, the alchemy of time worked its magic, transmuting lead to gold, strangers to friends.
Impossible, now, to imagine a world that didn’t hold them both, fast friends forever.

Ok you just know that Eowyn made her brothers and all the other children of Edoras play Hera and the Dunlanders all the time when she was little:
Eowyn (wearing a red wig, holding a sword): Now Wulf, you execute Hama and I'll be stricken with grief!
Theodred: This sucks why do I have to be the harp brother
Eowyn: SILENCE. DON'T BREAK CHARACTER
Grima Wormtongue (wearing a long black wig over his normal spiky blonde hair, playing Wulf): Oh boy I hope this doesn't awaken anything in me.
Not to be controversial or anything but the #1 thing I ask for of the Greta Gerwig reboot is for the fandom of mostly now adults who grew up with the books and the movies to be kind to the children who get cast. I'm a Star Wars and a PJO fan and I've basically hit my limit with people being absolutely horrible towards literal children who have no real say in the casting process other than to audition based on whatever the character breakdowns are (which again, is an element of this process that they have no control over) and work with the material that is given to them. Children in the industry are already SO vulnerable to a number of different things that they do not need Internet vitriol to be added to the pile - I cannot imagine being 12 years old and knowing that bunch of adults apparently hate me and think I'm somehow personally responsible for ruining something they love from their childhood. Spreading and encouraging this attitude - ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE AN ADULT - is not only unfair to these kids, it's flat-out wrong. Idc if the adaptation is good or bad, I will not stand for it, nor should anybody else. I am VERY worried about this cycle repeating itself again when the casting gets announced, so if nobody else is going to put out this warning then I'm taking it upon myself to do so. If you are a mature individual, then please act like it and please encourage those around you to do the same. These kids are probably going to be very excited to get cast and they do not deserve for anyone to take that joy away from them. Remember, most of us came to this series as kids, and it belongs to this new generation of kids just as much as it belongs to us adults who grew up with it. This includes the kids who get cast. Again, IT DOES NOT MATTER IF THE REBOOT IS GOOD OR BAD. THESE KIDS DESERVE TO BE TREATED WITH KINDNESS AND RESPECT REGARDLESS. Please let us behave in a manner that Aslan would be proud of rather than disappointed in
Something I wish we got a little more of was Coulson comforting/encouraging Fitz??? That dynamic was played out a little bit, yes, but I feel like there's something there.
The way how Coulson would clasp Fitz shoulder as he was on the verge of tears, and in s4 when Coulson laid his forehead on Fitz' head telling him it was gonna be alright, and how he held Fitz' forearms as he was spiralling after coming out of the Framework....
Do you think Coulson was imitating what his father did for him when he was little? Comfort through physicality? I'd like to think so...
But also, Coulson has to know about Fitz' dad and how he left. He's gotta know there's a sort of hurt there. Maybe he feels the need to step in a little bit and show him what a real father is like? That it's okay to not only break, but to also be gentle.
