Rating: 4/5
Summary: Willard Russell, a war veteran, tries to find peace by settling down with his family. But soon his wife, Charlotte is diagnosed with cancer and Willard does anything he knows possible to keep her alive, leaving his son, Arvin, traumatized for life. A preacher and his crippled cousin tries to run from the law when an experiment goes terribly wrong. A psychologically disturbed couple search for models to capture perfect photos. This is a story of a place full of ignorance, maniacs, blind faith and evil.
My Opinion: I knew I would love this book as soon as I started reading it. I knew this book will leave me scarred mentally. Yet I couldn’t resist the temptation of reading it. The events on this book are terrible. I cannot stop thinking about it. The dark sides of human natures are represented in a breathtaking way. The haunted images followed me all the time. This book is definitely not for any faint hearted person. The characters are very complicated. Some of them are in such a misery, I feel very bad for them. Morally complicated characters always fascinate me. They seem like real human beings. This book contains such characters. I think too much about them and to me they have become real. I usually don’t support violence. I personally think evils can only be defeated by all the positivity like honesty and love. But some cases in the book contradicts my values. It makes me feel like there are some things which are too evil to forgive or let go.
Favourite Character: Though I like almost all the characterizations in the book, I like Arvin more than any other. He has a very tough life and he is brave. I support almost every action of him. He is the perfect example of a brother. Though he is a violent man, he is a caring one too.
Quote: “Too much religion could be as bad as too little, maybe even worse.”
I just finished watching "Gangubai Kathiawadi" and it was phenomenal. It deserves all the praises it gets. If you want to feel something from a movie, go watch it. (And also it's on Netflix)
How a woman was sold to prostitution and slowly raised to gain power? Though lengthy, the plot was paced perfectly. It didn't rush to complete the story.
The dialogues hit hard as they are so powerful. For example, in a scene where Gangu was trying to get the children of the prostitutes admitted into a school, she was asked the identity of their father mockingly. And she replied with, "Isn't mother's name enough?" She even put humour to it and asked to add the name of a famous actor as the father of all the children. If you've already watched it, you know what I'm talking about...
And about Alia Bhatt, I think she did a great job and deserves all the praises.
But I think the character of Raziabai should be played by a real life eunuch. Apart from this, I overall enjoyed the film.

Part 1 - Part 2 - Part 3 [Complete]
*************************************************
I couldn't even keep track of the time. Who knew how long I had been sitting here all alone. The passers by kept throwing glances at me every now and then. But nobody really cared to ask me if I was okay or what I was up to even if my get up suggested that I wasn't a local in this place.
I had been observing my surroundings carefully. It seemed like I had taken my refuge in a complete foreign land. It was a rocky desert. It shouldn't be called a desert I suppose. Because there were enough plants to make it look livelier, at least to me. I was under a tree myself and secretly grateful for it because it was sheltering me from the heat of the sun. Even though it was winter, the heat had been bothering me since I had walked a long way to reach where I was now. Losing my energy completely, I collapsed beside this old friendly tree.
There was a grocery store beside me. People were going inside occasionally and coming out of it with huge bags. There might be a month's worth of groceries in them. Some of them would walk past me while biting into their snacks. It wasn't making me feel any better since I was starving for a whole day.
Even with the hunger, I was still dozing off because my body couldn't afford to keep me going any longer. That was when he came to me.
I heard someone clearing their throat. But I didn't bother to look up. Not gaining my attention, the person next to me let out a cough next. I looked up this time.
I saw before me a young man, probably in his twenties, carrying a grocery bag on one hand and a whiskey bottle on the other. He was wearing bright but dark blue clothes with a vest on. I noticed that his boots below the baggy black pants were a different shade of blue. All in all, I didn't like his outfit at all.
But there was something I couldn't say I didn't like. It was his hair. Bright fiery red hair. But as I checked out his facial features, I wasn't very glad that he had approached me. He looked really intimidating. Even the beautiful hair was making it worse.
I fixed my sitting posture as I felt a little uncomfortable around the stranger. To my relief, he looked away from me immediately but asked nonetheless, "where are you from? I haven't seen you around."
I didn't reply. So, he asked again, "do you have a home?" He then glanced at me once more.
Again, I remained quiet. He nodded his head as if he got the answers. "I'll just assume you ran away from your place. Seeing you in a state like this, it's most likely." He got it right. But I still didn't want to talk to him.
He leaned a little forward to me and asked in the most gentle voice, "Do you want to eat something? Are you hungry?"
The mention of hunger suddenly made my stomach growl. I nodded slowly. He tried to take out something that he had bought from the store earlier and a tangerine fell from the bag as he was doing so. When I moved to pick it up he went for it first and said, "uh-huh, that's for me." I immediately backed away.
Then, he handed me a sandwich. I grabbed it quickly and started to gobble it up. At that moment, the cold sandwich tasted like the best thing in this world. I couldn't help but let out a sound of satisfaction after the first bite.
He sat a little further from me and started to peel his fruit. I was done eating in a matter of a minute. He offered me a bottle of water. I took it gently this time and bowed my head to show him my gratitude.
He asked while feeding himself a piece of the tangerine, "How long have you been out and not eating?"
I noticed that though he talked with a heavy accent, his voice has a natural calmness. His ordinary questions sounded like music to my barren ears. Instead of answering, I kept staring at him in awe.
He looked back at me and tilted his head a little before saying, "So, you want this too?" He extended his hand towards me to offer two pieces of his little round ball of a fruit and I gladly accepted them, this time, with a little smile.
“I’ll get going now! I hope you figure out what you’re going to do next. Sitting here all by yourself won’t help you.” He said as he stood up and rubbed the dust away from his clothes.
I looked at him earnestly. I didn’t want him to leave. I wished he stayed a little longer so that I could get comfortable enough to talk to him. He looked down at me and said, “Don’t worry! I won’t advise you to go back home.” Then he muttered to himself, “I doubt if it was even a home.”
He looked back at me and said, “I hope you know the stranger danger rule already. That’s a good tactic that you didn’t talk to me just now. But I hope you won’t accept food from any strange man in the future. And don’t stay at a place long enough for people to notice that you need help. Get moving.”
Then he bowed his head a little before walking towards his jeep. He was going away. Suddenly, all the uncertainty regarding my future hit me hard and I started to panic. What should I do now? I had to stop him.
I jumped on to my feet and pulled my backpack on my shoulders before running towards him. He was about to open the door to his car when he realized I was behind him. He looked back with a confused face, “What happened?”
I cleared my throat to say, “I wish to go with you.”
His small eyes grew larger at my response. “Wha…what do you mean?”
“I meant what I said. I want to go with you. Where are you heading to?”
I knew I wasn’t the best judge of character. But I decided to listen to my intuition. Something told me that he was a guy (perhaps the only one) I could trust.
He shook his head and said, “Didn’t you hear a word I said? Don’t talk with strangers let alone get in their car. Are you stupid or what?”
His words sounded harsh enough to make my eyes prickle. I shifted on my legs and said quietly, “But I’m really scared. I don’t know what I was thinking when I ran away. I have no experience of the real world out here. I’m afraid something might go wrong. Please, don’t leave me alone here.”
“I know the world’s terrifying.” He said with a gentler tone than before, “I’m pretty sure you’re aware of it too. But I could be just as terrifying. How are you so sure to trust me, huh? Do you even know my name?”
I shook my head and asked, “What’s your name?”
He let out a frustrated grunt and said, “Just go away, please.”
I tried to smile, “It’s okay! I can just call you ‘oppa’!”
He looked at me as if I just swore at him. He shook his head again, opened the car door and got in. He signaled me to move away from his path so that he could drive. That was when I couldn’t control my tears anymore. I stood there, looking at him while tears poured down my face like a waterfall.
His brows knitted together to form a frown. He closed his eyes, shook his head and sighed heavily. Then, he looked at me and said in a way that suggested he was really pissed, “Alright, c’mon! Hop in.”
I smiled and wiped away my tears as I ran to sit beside him. I pulled him into a hug and said, “Oppa! Thank you so much.”
“Aish!” He spoke while pushing me away, “Stop making a fuss.” Then he went on muttering to himself, “I don’t even know why I’m doing this. I doubt you're ever going to listen to me.”
And he was right to have doubted that.
"Don't ever call me Oppa. My name's Min Yoongi and you'll call me by that name only. Understood?"
"But I like Oppa more."
"And don't do that again. Don't hug me. I'm intolerant to touch."
"But I can't help it when I get excited."
“Don’t talk back like that either.”
“But I…”
I stopped myself quickly and nodded my head enthusiastically. I needed to show him that I could be a good girl if I wanted to. Yoongi didn’t talk further and kept his eyes fixed on the road.
I noticed that we were driving away from the small town of the desert to… well, it could be said that his house was in the middle of nowhere. It was a cube shaped small one room house with a large patio in the front. Everything around it clearly suggested that Yoongi lived here all alone. But nonetheless the place was neat and clean for a bachelor living here. The best thing about the house was that it looked like a place that could be called home.
My chest swelled up with overwhelming emotions. I was already in love with it all. I could never imagine living in a place like this. Not even in my wildest dream. But then, a sudden thought crushed my dream into pieces. Yoongi never said I could stay at his place.
When the car was parked, Yoongi got down quietly. I followed him to his house. He nodded at the big couch on the patio for me to be seated and I sat down obediently. I had to make sure he found my behavior tolerable enough to let me stay.
He went inside the room and there was the barking of a dog. I could guess that he was walking around placing his groceries at convenient places. After a long time, when the sun was almost setting down, he came out with food ingredients. The dog also followed him out.
“It won’t take long. I hope you’re not too hungry.” He said while lighting up the stove. I shook my head. He nodded and continued to cook.
The dog came towards the couch to inspect me. I smiled and patted its head carefully. The dog didn't retreat. Instead, it climbed onto the couch beside me. It made me laugh with its adorable behavior.
Yoongi finally arranged the hot food on the table. I tried to help him but it didn’t seem like he needed any. When everything was done, we sat down opposite each other. The smell was delicious. But I still couldn’t bring myself to eat. I needed to let out the uneasy feeling I was having.
Yoongi definitely noticed that I was struggling to say something. He didn’t start eating but didn’t urge me to talk either. Instead, he waited patiently for me to open up first.
“Oppa!” I stuttered as I said, “I was won… wondering if you’re going to… I mean let me…” I shook my head before stating directly, “Please, let me stay with you.”
“I think we can decide upon the matter after dinner.” he replied politely.
I shook my head again, “Just give me one chance. Just the one. I promise, you won’t regret it. I will be a great help to you. I’ll do all of your house chores. I can wash the dishes and your clothes. I will wipe the floor clean. I can learn to cook if you want me too. Please, keep me as a maid. Don’t send me away.”
Yoongi handed me a pair of chopsticks and said, “Eat before it gets cold.”
With a lingering fear in my heart I had to withdraw.
I got up immediately after Yoongi finished his food. I decided I would give him a demonstration of my will and the hard work. I started to take everything inside the house to the sink. Yoongi silently joined in to help.
“I’ll do the dishes tonight.” I announced and proceeded to get the job done as quickly as I could.
Yoongi didn’t complain either. He sat down on his bed and moved his attention to a comic book. I started with the small things like spoons, chopsticks etc and gradually took the bowls and the plates.
“I have years of experience in household work, you know.” I boast about myself. But Yoongi didn’t budge. So I said louder, “I’m sure you’ll find me a useful maid.”
Yoongi turned to the next page to read. I tried to joke, “Who knows, maybe you’ll have to start paying me for the…” I couldn’t finish my sentence.
The plate slipped through my fingers and shattered on the floor making a piercing sound. I froze in my place. Yoongi looked up from his book. The barking of the dog was deafening my ears.
“Oh no!” I thought to myself, “I had done it again.”
I saw Yoongi placing the book on the bed and slowly walking towards me. I tried to defend myself, “I’m so sorry. Please… Listen to me. I… I didn’t mean to. It won’t happen again.”
Yoongi walked past me. I saw his hand reaching the sink to grab something. I shrieked and fell on my knees. I shielded my head with my hands as I begged him to not hurt me.
“Please… I’m sorry. I… please.”
Tears streamed down my face as I paced to and fro. My head was still bowing towards the floor. I could feel my whole body shaking. I felt like I was going to throw up.
Suddenly I felt a hand on my shoulder and I jerked away from him as I yelled, “No! Don’t!”
“Hey!” I heard him say, “Calm down.”
I looked up at him slowly. He was kneeling down beside me. His expression confused me for a while. He didn’t look angry. What was it again? Yeah! Worry. I saw worry in his eyes.
I slowly raised my head to face him when the dog stopped barking. He spoke carefully, “It’s just a plate. You don’t have to worry about that. I’ll take care of it, okay?” He was moving a little closer to me with each sentence.
Finally, he reached to rest his hands on both of my shoulders. My tensed muscle relaxed at his touch. I leaned forward and he caught me before my head could touch the ground.
I sobbed on his shoulder while he gently patted my back, whispering reassurance that it was really no big deal. I tried to bring myself to say something. But my breath was hitched. It made me cry even more.
“Don’t say anything. I understand.” He whispered softly.
I wiped my tears away to look into his eyes clearly. I didn't know how I had believed that these eyes could hold rage. There was nothing but comfort in his deep black twinkling eyes. I knew immediately that I had made the right choice to have put my trust on the bearer of these eyes.
Minutes later. I sat quite motionless at one corner of the room watching him do all the work. Yoongi carefully picked out the pieces of the plate, broomed the place, did the remaining dishes and made the bed.
At last, he walked to me and kneeled down to say, “You need to sleep. You must be exhausted. Come.” He extended his hand towards me. Hesitantly, I took it and he led me to the only bed in the room.
Carefully tucking me in the soft blanket, he asked, “Do you want me to turn the lights off?” I nodded my head. He turned it off and walked to the door.
He stopped and turned to me. He looked as if he was deciding how to put his thoughts to words. Then, he carefully spoke, "Next time, anything goes wrong again, you don't have to freak out. Instead, you can help me make it right. Okay?"
My eyes started to get blurry. I barely managed to let out the words, "Next time?"
Yoongi replied with a ‘hmm’ almost inaudible to my ears.

Fandom: BTS Pairing: Jin x Female reader Genre: Fluff, Fake Dating trope Word Count: 1.5k Words (y/n = your name)
Summary: Your younger cousin is already getting married. You’re now burdened to get yourself a date to the wedding more than ever. So that all your stupid relatives won’t rant about how you’re gonna die single. Jin was the last person you thought you’d go to on such an occasion.
“Why him?” I asked my little cousin who was no longer little anymore. Of course! How could she be? She was getting married in a week.
“Because Taehyung said he’s the only option available for you right now.” My cousin said as a matter of fact.
She was right. I took too much time thinking about whom I’ll bring with me as the wedding date and rejecting many offers for every minor inconvenience I’d found, that now I only had one week left. When I had lost all hope, my cousin, herself offered to help.
Her going to be husband, Taehyung, had an older friend named Jin. I had met him on some occasions. But I didn’t like him very much. He was such a narcissist and had the kind of sense of humor that I absolutely despised. My cousin had said that the reason why I didn’t like him was because I also had the same kind of attitude and I always wanted to be the special one in the group.
“What about the other friend of his?” I asked hopefully.
“Yoongi?” she asked.
I shyly nodded. I liked Yoongi better since he’s kinda quiet and intelligent. He was my type of man.
“Nope!” she shook her head, “Do you really think Taehyung can persuade Yoongi to be your date?”
Her tone pissed me off a bit. “Why not?” I asked with an air of confidence, “Am I not good enough for him? And also, it’s not a real date. He just has to pretend that we are together for a while.”
“I know,” she said, “but I don’t think he’ll agree. C’mon, y/n, just take Jin with you. He’s not that bad.”
“Alright!” I sighed, “I’ll go with him, then.”
“Hey, y/n!” Jin called me from over the table.
I planned to meet him before the wedding. So that we could talk about the whole process of this fake dating business; which I was already hating.
I nodded to let him know that I saw him, otherwise he probably would have kept calling me and make the whole situation double awkward.
“Hello, Jin.” I greeted him while taking my seat.
“Let’s order something first.” He said, “I’m starving.”
As we waited for the food to arrive I started the conversation, “I hope Taehyung had already told you why we’re here, right?”
“Yeah,” Jin said, “he told me you’re not getting any date. And I know it’s really frustrating. Don’t worry, jagi. I’m happy to help.”
“WHAT THE FUCK! I’m not getting any date? And why the hell is he calling me ‘jagi’?” I thought.
“Umm…” I tried to put my words as respectfully as possible, “It’s nothing like that actually. We’re just going to pretend to be dating. Because I want to avoid my problematic relatives who keep asking me why I’m still not married. I don’t date because I don’t want to. Actually, I don’t need to. I could have easily be dating a guy and also can get married. But that is not my intention. I have other plans at hand right now.”
I didn’t notice that my voice had already risen to the point of making other people, from the nearby tables, stare at us. As soon as I realized that I went red on the face.
“Hmm…” Jin said, as if I had just told him something philosophical.
Fortunately our food arrived and I started to focus on them. Jin, too, started to eat and kept commenting on each item. I nodded and said ‘hmm’ or ‘yeah’ to let him know that I agreed. And neither of us mentioned the wedding for the rest of the evening.
Everything was so awkward now that I kept thinking that this whole idea was such a bad decision.
I met Jin directly at the day of the wedding. We had planned to drive there together to get the impression of us being involved.
Jin was waiting for me inside his car. When I got into it, he said, “Whoa, y/n!”
“What?” I asked looking at my dress to see if anything was wrong with it.
Jin shook his head and changed his tone to a sarcastic one. Raising his eyebrows he asked, “Don’t I look dashing in this outfit?”
I rolled my eyes in exasperation. But I was secretly glad. Because I knew he meant to compliment me at first. Since it was not in his nature to admire people other than himself, he changed the topic at once.
“First thing first,” I said, “Don’t do anything to make people suspicious of us. And let me do the talking. Got it?”
“So, I’ll just go around and nod my head while you talk?”
“Almost that,” I said, “Just don’t overdo anything. That’s all.”
“Sounds alright to me.” He said, “But hey! Can I make some light jokes?”
“Jin,” I was already irritated, “Just drive.”
Jin was quiet as soon as we reached our destination. It felt like he had turned into a complete different self. He was not that confident guy I used to know. Rather a shy one who doesn’t like to interact with anyone in a party. I was almost dragging him to meet my family members and relatives.
“What happened?” I asked, “Are you feeling sick or something?”
“No,” he shook his head, “It’s just that I find it very exhausting meeting new people. I’m kinda introvert, you know?”
“I didn’t know that.” I said. Being a super extrovert, I found it hard to understand introvert people.
“Can we just sit on a corner and enjoy each other’s company?” He pleaded.
I couldn’t do that. All of my relatives were liking Jin very much. Apart from the fact that he was handsome and rich, everyone liked his politeness too. They were praising him a lot and saying how lucky I was to have someone like him and that we were a really cute couple and other stuffs like that. I was really enjoying this show now.
“C’mon, Jin.” I whined like a spoiled brat, “You said you’d help me with this. Now get up and let me have this moment.”
“Agreeing to this stupid idea was such a bad decision.” Then he stood up and took my hand in his and said, “Anyway, since we’re already here. Let’s show them what we’ve got.”
Jin was trying very hard to be friendly with my other cousins and friends. After some time of chatting with them, Jin was already making his dad jokes and I was relieved because everyone found it amusing.
At a point, one of my friends jokingly said, “Look!” pointing at the bride and the groom, “They are already getting married despite being younger. When are you guys getting married?”
I almost choked on my drink. “Not again!” I thought to myself.
Jin immediately said, “I’m thinking about the same thing.” Then he turned to me and said, “Will you just marry me already?”
All of my friends gasped and someone asked, “Is that a proposal?” Then they started to say, “y/n, just say yes.”
“What the hell, Jin!” I whispered to him in the middle of the chaos.
Jin raised his hands towards the crowd and said, “She said YES!” And they all started to clap and cheer making me confused as to what I should be doing.
Then, there came an aunty of mine and she said, “y/n, dear. Now it’s time for you to lose some weight. Surely you won’t wear your wedding dress in that body of yours.”
Some of the people started to laugh, while others were rolling their eyes. I didn’t know how to react to that. I was wishing my mother was there. She would have said something to shut her up.
“Why? What’s wrong with her body?” Instead who came to my rescue was Jin. He was looking at me from my head to toe, “I think her body is perfect to wear the wedding dress that I’ve already purchased.”
Then he winked at me and said aloud, “It was supposed to be a surprise. I’m sorry, jagi, that some trash had ruined it.”
I couldn’t help but laugh at his response.
The wedding went well. I never thought I would see my cousin, who had refused to get married her whole life because all the boys she was with were assholes, would be so happy to be married. I mean, why not! Taehyung was such a sweet guy and definitely a husband material.
Now thinking about it, Jin wasn’t too bad either. He also seemed like a husband material to me. Standing by his side, witnessing our closest friends getting married together, made me think about my life choices. Getting married didn’t sound like a bad decision now.
As soon as the wedding was done and we got some time alone, Jin said, “Thank God, it’s finally over.”
I smiled at him. I was getting fonder of him by the time and I could feel that. I said, “Thank you, Jin, for doing this with me.”
“Don’t mention it, jagi.” Jin said, “It was actually fun.”
I nodded my head in affirmation. Then, I asked him, “What now?”
“What do you mean?”
“Don’t you think we should be going for a real date this time?” I asked.
Jin was laughing, making that sound of the windshield wipers. And I started to laugh too. I should be getting used to his wild laugh, after all.

Chapter 1 - Chapter 2 - Chapter 3 - Chapter 4 - Chapter 5 - Chapter 6 - Chapter 7 - Chapter 8 - Chapter 9 - Chapter 10 [Complete]
Yoongi stood in the rain, unable to move a muscle. He had been looking at the sky until Hoseok’s figure disappeared in the darkness of the night. He couldn’t believe he had been caught when he was so close to achieve his goal.
“How dare you dreamt of a bright future?” He felt his conscience asking him, “After everything you had done, did you really think you could turn back from your sins?”
“Why? Were my mistakes too ugly to be forgiven?” Yoongi asked back.
“You are a monster. You’re true place is to dwell in the darkness.”
Yoongi closed his eyes shut. He felt like he had stabbed his friends in their backs. But he was feeling all the pain instead. This pain in his heart was something worse than that of any physical one.
Yoongi looked at his wet white shirt. He laughed at the irony of it. The day he decided to wear white, was the day it revealed the blackest part of himself.
Slowly he walked back to his basement. The place that had been used just for experiments were turned into a home to Yoongi by the most unexpected people. But now, it suddenly felt just like a basement once again.
He looked around it. Things were just the way he had left them a few hours ago. But everything inside Yoongi seemed to have changed. He felt a sudden urge to change his clothes into his older ones. As if wearing something dark again would undone the damage and bring Hoseok back.
Even so, he got changed into one of his black outfits. Then, he went to sit at the very corner of the room where his desk was. The floor was freezing. But Yoongi didn’t seem to mind.
Yoongi buried his face in between his knees. Tears began to fall abruptly. He couldn’t stop them. For the first time since his grandfather died, Yoongi let himself cry.
Namjoon woke up in the middle of the night as he heard something. When he listened carefully, he found out that someone was sobbing. Namjoon walked towards it and saw Yoongi sitting at a corner with his head buried in his knees. His whole body was shaking.
Namjoon hesitated but decided to ask him instead, “Is everything… Is everything alright?”
Yoongi’s head slowly rose from his knees. He looked at Namjoon and shook his head. Namjoon noticed that Yoongi’s hair was wet and his eyes were puffy and red, suggesting that he was out in the rain and had been crying for quite a long time.
Namjoon sat beside him. But he didn’t ask Yoongi anything. After a few minutes, Yoongi, himself, broke the silence, “Can I ask you something very personal?”
“Yeah!”
“Why were you casted out of heaven?”
Namjoon was surprised by this sudden approach towards his deepest, darkest secret. But for some reason, he wanted to share it with Yoongi. Yoongi was the kind of person who would understand.
“Well, it’s because I had rebelled against the Gods and Goddesses’ order.”
“But why? What did they ask you to do?”
Namjoon exhaled out a heavy breath. Then, he began to tell it from the beginning, while Yoongi listened like an attentive student learning from his master.
“The world and everything within were practically created just for Humans. But you see, Gods and Goddesses aren’t always right. They make mistakes too. The difference is that they can erase them easily.
“One of those mistakes was creating the giants. The huge creatures with so much strength but a little to no brain at all. They had been a huge obstacle to the humanity since the beginning of time. So, Zeus decided to eliminate them all.
“That’s what the order was exactly. We, angels, were to kill them off from the surface of the earth. That time, I was made the leader to complete this task with my fellow angels. But I couldn’t bring myself to do it.
“How could I? They wanted me to kill the whole race of giants just for the convenience of the humans. But in my eyes, they were just as important as humans were to this earth.”
Namjoon stopped there. He couldn’t go any further.
Yoongi nodded, “So the Gods favor them too?” By ‘them’, he basically meant the OHA.
Then, Yoongi slowly unbuttoned two of his shirt buttons and showed Namjoon what he had been hiding there all this time. Namjoon couldn’t help but gasp at the sight of that cursed mark.
“I’m going to reveal something about me which you might find surprising.” Yoongi began in front of the boys.
“I used to…” Yoongi hesitated. He glanced at Namjoon for assurance. Namjoon nodded for him to continue.
Yoongi cleared his throat, “I used to work for the OHA once.” There were some shouts of disbelieve. But nobody complained. They seemed rather curious to know more of the story.
Yoongi got the confidence to continue. Everyone believed everything he told them. In short, what Yoongi said were these:
Yoongi was an orphan raised by his wizard grandfather, who had taught him how to control magic. But he, too, died early, leaving Yoongi all alone in this cruel world. The ‘Master of Shadow’ used to be a close friend to his grandfather. So, after his death, the Master took all of Yoongi’s responsibility.
Since then, all Yoongi knew was hard work. He was never allowed to rest, never allowed to fail and most importantly, never allowed to give up. Yoongi grew up to dislike the ‘Master’, but didn’t dared challenge him.
After the formation of the OHA, the ‘Master of Shadow’ willingly joined the company to work on the Supernatural beings and expand his power. Yoongi had to join with him as well.
At first, Yoongi willingly worked for them too, doing all the research works and even hunting some species occasionally. At a point, he was appointed to experiment on an angel. And this angel was Hoseok’s friend, for whom Hoseok had come down to earth.
After some days of regular meeting with the angel, Yoongi started to take a liking for him. They eventually got close and became friends. When Yoongi learned that the angel’s wings were the last ingredient the OHA needed to acquire whatever their evil target was, Yoongi decided to help the angel escape.
Meanwhile, there was a rumor circulating throughout the facility that the only Gumiho they had been experimenting on had died. And before death, that Gumiho had foreseen a future. It was such that the downfall of the OHA would come by an angel’s hand.
So, instead of running away, the angel decided to tear the company apart so that it could not hurt any more creatures. But the OHA was wicked. They found out about their plan.
Unfortunately, the angel had to take his own life to stop the OHA from using his wings. And Yoongi had no other option but to flee.
Yoongi finished the narration of his story and sat down on his chair. The mood of the room grew much more depressing. Namjoon walked up to Yoongi and patted his shoulders with both hands.
“Since then, I dedicated my life on this mission. That’s why, I was so desperate to find an angel and a Gumiho. That’s why, I asked Jimin to look into the future.” Yoongi said, his eyes ready to tear up any moment, “I’m sorry for keeping this away from you, guys. It was a mistake. And now, Hoseok has left.”
Yoongi buried his face on his hands and once again started to sob. Jimin quickly came to give him a hug, while Namjoon kept patting on his shoulders.
“Don’t worry!” Jimin said, “I’m sure Hoseok will come back to us again.”
Momentary silence, everyone was thinking; Yoongi was still questioning his past, Jimin was getting ready to protect the members, Jungkook was missing Hoseok and Namjoon was making a plan.
Suddenly, there was a howling of a wolf from above the building. Jimin’s heart skipped a bit, “Taehyung!” he called.
Not a moment was lost. All of them went to check on Taehyung, who had gone to check on the wizard a while ago. What they found there was surprising and horrifying at the same time.
The door to the prisoner’s room was wide opened. A big black wolf lied in the corner of the room being curled up and shivering. The ‘Master of Shadow’ was nowhere to be seen.
Jungkook and Jimin went straight to the wolf. Jimin tried to calm Taehyung down saying all the comforting words he could come up with while Jungkook ran his hand on his black fur. It took much time to finally bring Taehyung back to himself again. He, then, returned to his human form.
“I’m sorry.” Taehyung wiped a tear from his face, “I couldn’t stop the wizard.”
“Oh dear!” Jimin exclaimed, “Did he hurt you?”
Taehyung nodded like a little child and added, “The door was already opened when I came here. When I tried to stop the wizard, he did something crazy to my brain.”
“Mind control!” Yoongi informed, “He’s a master at that work.”
Taehyung nodded again, “Yes, you’re right. I was under some kind of mind control thing. I felt like I…I was back at the laboratory again. I was chained up to their walls. I…I was locked up.”
“Ssh, baby.” Jimin whispered as Taehyung grew agitated. “You’re not at the facility anymore. You’re here, with us.”
“I’m so sorry.” Taehyung said once again, “I wish I could… I could change my mind. I always feel trapped inside it. It’s suffocating.”
“Don’t apologize.” Namjoon said, “It’s not something you did on purpose.”
“But one thing doesn’t make sense.” Yoongi said, “How was the door opened? The spell I put in there, it couldn’t be broken by anyone from the inside.”
“Maybe the ‘Master’ bewitched Taehyung to do it?” Seokjin suggested.
“But…” Yoongi was about to say something when Namjoon called everyone, “There is a note.”
Namjoon read out the note left by the ‘Master’ aloud, “All thanks to you, Min Yoongi, for doing the hardest job of locating an angel and pushing it away into our trap on your own. I hope you don’t regret the decision that you had made two years ago of betraying and working against the company.”
“No!” Yoongi let out a cry of agony.
“They caught Hoseok, didn’t they?” Jungkook’s voice cracked.
Jimin asked, “What do we do now?” while Taehyung kept shaking his head in refusal.
“We need to make a solid plan to rescue Hoseok.” Namjoon said.
Everyone kept suggesting whatever they thought right that should be done. But none of the plan seemed reliable enough. They could never fight hundreds of guards and wizards of the OHA all alone. They needed more people and strength.
“We can’t lose time.” Yoongi said finally, “If the OHA has his wings they will grow more powerful and defeating them will be impossible.”
“Then, what do you suggest we do?” Namjoon asked.
“I’ll go alone.” Yoongi said.
“That’s stupid.” Jungkook said, “We can’t even imagine facing them all together and you’re talking about fighting them alone?”
“I’m the one who’s responsible for this. So, it has to be me.” Yoongi further argued.
“But we can’t let you go without a plan.” Namjoon said rather boldly.
Yoongi nodded at him, “I think, I have one.”

Hello there. Can you please write a riot club imagine? There the reader will be Guy's sister and has a crush on Dimitri. Dimitri knows it and flirts with the reader. The reader wants Dimitri to take her out.
That Time:
I was looking forward to this Christmas vacation. Not only because I was meeting my brother, Guy, after a while, but also because I was gonna meet someone I really adore.
He was Dimitri, my brother’s best friend since school. I’ve remembered meeting him on many occasions. I have always liked him a lot. The way he talks in a Greek-English accent, the way he often fixes his hair, even the way he swears while he talks, impresses me to a great extent.
I feel like Guy had noticed my growing feelings for Dimitri. He always keeps on saying how Dimitri always spoke of me as if I was his little sister, which annoys me a lot. I am only three years younger than him. That doesn’t make me little.
I was waiting by the door to receive Guy and Dimitri as they arrived. Guy gave mum a quick kiss on the cheek and hugged me gently.
“You’re still studying hard?” Guy joked. He always jokes about me being a nerd and all. I ignored him and shook Dimitri’s hand.
“GOD!” Dimitri exhaled, “You’ve grown so much since I saw you last.” I couldn’t help but blush.
“You must be really tired, boys.” my mum called them inside.
We had dinner together. Mum talked with them all the time. Dimitri told her about how he ended up deciding to come to our house while his parents went to Greece that year. I found myself looking at him at times. It felt like the more I look at him the more I fell in love with him.
But he simply ignored me through the dinner and talked to my mother instead. When mother left us to talk after the pudding was when Dimitri actually cared to look at me.
“I didn’t think you’ll grow up to be this gorgeous,” Dimitri smirked, “I mean, look at Guy, surely he can’t be your brother.”
The smile on my face died as I looked at Guy’s irritated expression. “She’s only 16. mate.”
“Exactly,” Dimitri said, still smiling.
I opened my mouth to say something but Guy interrupted me and said “Y/N, you can go to your room now.”
“But...” I tried to protest. But this time Dimitri stopped me, “It’s okay, Y/N. He’s just playing brother here. I’ll handle it.” He winked and turned to Guy.
I left the room quickly to stop myself from giggling.
Note: I found this prompt on Pinterest and it sounded promising. The first person that came to my mind was Yoongi. So I wrote a fan fiction about him. A little reminder that it is totally fictional. The character I made has nothing to do with the real Min Yoongi. Anyway, I hope you like it.

“WHAT? It’s already 8:45?” I needed to hurry or I’d miss my 9 a.m. English class. I jumped out of my bed and changed my clothes as quickly as I could. I sprinted out of my house checking my watch to found that it was already 9.
A trip from the bus stand to my college took almost 15 more minutes. I started to run once I got down from the bus. I was breathing heavily when I opened the door to my class.
“We’ve already discussed about our new project, dear. Since, you’re late, your partner will explain it to you. Mr. Min Yoongi, as you’re the only one left without a partner, you two may pair up.” The professor announced.
I was too shocked to give any reaction while Yoongi just nodded. Every other seats were already taken. So I had to go sit on the back with this guy called Min Yoongi. The whole class went on in a blur. I glanced at my partner twice. He seemed to be really absorbed at whatever he was writing on his notes.
First, let me put some words about Min Yoongi. He was majoring in Music and we only had English course together. He looked very intimidating. I never saw him talk with anyone unless it was necessary. The only time he talked to me was when I was with my best friend discussing about our plans for a sleepover and he told me I was being too loud to be on the library. Since then, I tried to avoid him at all cost.
But now, he was my partner for the English project, whatever it was. I was already too nervous to approach him about the matter.
Once the class was over, he said to me, while packing his bag, “We have to write ‘Daily Words of Affirmation’ to each other for the next five days.”
“Huh?” was the only thing that came out of my mouth.
“The group project?” he raised his eyebrows.
“Oh right,” I said, “the group project. So, I have to write something positive to you from when exactly?”
“From today.” He headed to the door. “And also,” he turned back, “You can write a hand written note or send me via email, whatever way you’re comfortable with.” And he was gone.
“So, that’s it?” I thought to myself, “No other instructions? Can’t he just sit and talk like a normal person do when they do group projects?” I was getting really annoyed at this guy by then. What could I possibly write when I couldn’t even find anything good about him?
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My hair looked like a mess as I repeatedly ran my hand through them. “Oh, come on! Think like a mature person. Everybody has some good aspects about them.” I forced myself to think of something nice. The fact that by the end of the week we had to submit our interaction to our professor was more frustrating.
As I didn’t know him very well, I thought about writing something about his appearance instead. What was I going to write anyway? It wasn’t like I found him very attractive or something.
I closed my eyes and tried to imagine his face. For some reason he looked like a cat to me. I smiled to myself, “Fine! I’ll write that.” I hoped he’d take that as a compliment.
“You look like a cat.” I typed on my laptop. It sounded too rude. I tried to think of a creative way to put it. I typed again.
“Though lazy, cats are really skillful in hunting. Somehow, your face reminds me of a cat. Can’t wait to find out what you’re good at!”
I was really satisfied with whatever I wrote. Before I could send it, I got an email from Yoongi first.
“With or without glasses, your eyes are the most appealing bit on your face (that’s my personal opinion).”
I was taken aback. I couldn’t picture Min Yoongi writing me that. Also, his message sounded better as a Words-of-Affirmation than mine. I still couldn’t think of a decent thing to say. So without working myself up I sent my message.
Before going to bed I went to the bathroom to wash my face as a part of the night routine. I took off my glasses and stared into my eyes in the mirror. The last time someone told me that my eyes were beautiful was in grade 8. That was before I started wearing glasses.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I was prepared to talk to Min Yoongi the next day. I needed to find out something to write this time. It was so frustrating last night that I finally built up my courage to get acquainted with this seemingly rude guy.
We didn’t have English class that day. So I texted him to meet me at the cafeteria whenever he could. After waiting for what seemed like an eternity he texted back, “Come to the library.”
“Oh God! That library again. Does this guy even think about other people’s conveniences?” But it seemed like I had no other choice. I was determined to ace that English course no matter what. So, burying my ego I went to the library.
He was sitting at the far corner, his usual place. I got closer and saw that he was reading ‘The Alchemist’ by Paulo Coelho. That caught my attention and I spoke up without hesitation, “I read that book last month.”
Yoongi glanced at me once and got back to reading again. I sat beside him. I tried to take the conversation further, “They say this book helps you to find your true destiny. But I guess I was too caught up with All-thing-is-one stuff to notice that.”
“Don’t worry.” He said turning a page, “Some people read with their eyes and not their minds.”
“Excuse me?” I felt offended, “did you just consider me as one of those people?’
He shrugged his shoulder while still keeping his eyes on the book. As a book lover his words felt like an insult to me. Why on earth did I end up being partnered up with a guy like him on a project like this?
I decided it was time to be frank, “Listen here, Mr. Min Yoongi. I wanted to talk to you only because I felt it was necessary to know you better. You know, for the project?”
“Yes, I know.” He shut his book close and stared at me. His eyes looked cold. It felt like he was daring me to say something more. Something I was desperately wanting to throw at him.
The next moment I saw something else in those eyes. But I couldn’t figure it out then. I turned to go away when I heard him say under his breath, “Because no one in their right mind would want to know me.”
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
What could he mean by that? It ought to sound like a threat. But I felt like it was a cry for help. The more I got to know him, the more mysterious he was getting.
At least I was relieved. Because by then, I had already figured out what to write to him next.
“There’s hope for you because you read with your mind and not just the eyes.”
I wrote that thinking he was clever enough to see the sarcasm in it while our professor would have no clue, being unaware of the whole situation. I sent the message and went on about my day.
I got his email at midnight. I immediately opened it.
“You’re a natural optimistic, always seeing the beauty in the ugliest of places.”
I pondered over his words. If he really meant whatever he wrote, that would mean he had took enough time to put some serious thoughts about me.
“That’s for the project only, you silly!” I told myself.
As I went to bed, his face appeared in front of me. The way he looked at me when he said, “Yes, I know!” I felt like I knew the second expression on his face, “Was it, perhaps, sadness?”
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I texted him again the next morning, “Are you busy? If not, let’s meet again.” I had thought about his last message to me. It was rather a compliment. I was truly an optimist. My father once told me it was a strength to hold onto. So, I decided I would not let that go so easily just because some guy was trying to act tough.
I got a reply, “Actually yes, I’m kinda busy. Currently working on my new music.” After a second, another message popped up, “Sorry about it. Maybe we can meet at evening?”
It didn’t sound too bad this time. He was actually trying to be polite, whatever the reason might be. I didn’t write him back. Instead I went straight to the practice room.
It was a huge hall with different instruments here and there. I found him sitting at the very corner with a piano. So, he played piano? I always wanted to take piano lessons. For some reasons, I was never able to.
There was no one in the room. I moved closer to hear him play better. He was scribbling in his notes something I couldn’t see. I patiently waited without bothering him. Then, he started to play.
The music slowly started to build by the time. The sweet music turning into something, I dare say, emotional. I felt my heart getting heavy. My feet felt numb. I stayed motionless as I took in every stroke of the key within myself.
How could a person seemingly so cold, make music so touching?
Yoongi finished the whole piece and looked back at me, directly into my eyes, as if he knew I was standing there. A drop of tear fell from my eye. I suddenly realized my cheeks were wet.
“What did you name it?” I asked about the beautiful music he had created.
“First Love.”
We were sitting across the table in the café. I had a latte while he ordered an Americano. “Did you really make that?” I asked.
“Yeah.”
“It was so beautiful. I have never heard anyone playing a piano before. You sounded like a piano prodigy or something.”
“You’re saying that since you never heard anyone playing a piano before.”
A moment of silence, then I broke into a laugh. I was getting used to his kind of humor by then. Yoongi’s smile slowly built on his lip. His cheeks turned red as he said “thank you” in a low voice.
“What?” I said loudly, “I couldn’t hear you. Did you just come up with another savage reply of yours since the last one didn’t bother me?”
This time his smile widened to reach up to his eyes. That was a sight I never saw before. He looked so innocent with that gummy smile of his. I suddenly felt something inside my stomach twisting.
He felt like a boy I could love.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Was it even possible? Could people really fall in love with someone so easily? Or maybe I was mistaking infatuation for love. Even if I wasn’t in love with him already, I was pretty sure I would be soon if I continued to get closer to him.
One thing was clear. Whatever the feeling might be, it was too strong to ignore. Never in my life had I felt something so deep.
“You are so full of love that you should cherish your ability of making such lively music.”
I didn’t hesitate to send him the message. This time, I waited eagerly for his reply. His words were reassuring. They made me feel alive. They made me realize, I had something in me. But again, that was exactly what the project was all about.
I waited and waited. At some point I fell asleep on my reading table. I woke up at about 10 p.m. I quickly checked my email. The message I was waiting for had already arrived.
“You’re a light in the darkest room, a bright star in the night sky. You’re someone’s hope in the time of complete despair.”
I knew I would keep thinking about it all night.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
10:43 p.m. I texted him, “Can’t sleep.”
“Me too.” A quick reply.
“Wanna meet?”
“Sure.”
11:04 p.m. We were sitting on the park bench. The night was surprisingly cold. I was grateful for the beer Yoongi brought with him. But I was getting high by the time.
“I don’t know what to talk about.”
“Don’t worry. I like silent company more.”
11:18 p.m. I could feel the alcohol was making me a little drowsy. But I didn’t want to go back just then. “What are you good at? Other than music?” I said trying to avoid the sleepiness.
“I used to play basketball in high school.”
11:35 p.m. I decided it was time to talk about some real shit, “I want to get a tattoo so bad.”
“Get it then.”
“My mother will kill me.”
Yoongi shrugged his shoulder. Then he unbuttoned his sleeve to show me his bare wrist. I spotted a faint white line there, “What is that?” As soon as I asked that, I knew I messed up.
“Shit.” I swore, “Sorry.”
“If you ever decide to get the tattoo, take me with you. I’ll get one here.” He raised his wrist again.
“Fine! Let’s get going then.”
11:49 p.m. Yoongi drove us to the tattoo parlor I always passed by and fantasized about getting in.
“I can’t believe we’re doing this.” I almost screamed in excitement. Yoongi smiled at me and my inside melted.
They were not allowing us to go inside since it was almost closing time. I practically begged them to let us in. After a minute or two, Yoongi stepped forward and said something to the guy I couldn’t hear properly.
Finally they let us in.
12:14 a.m. We were driving back from the parlor. “Don’t you want to see my tattoo?” I asked.
“You probably got it somewhere no one could see.”
I smirked, “I’ll show YOU though.” I lifted my shirt to show my waist where I got a little bow.
“What did you get?” I asked Yoongi, “Can I see it?”
He showed me his wrist. There was a small line drawn along which were the piano keys. It was so simple yet I knew how important it was to him.
He said, “Piano is my savior.”
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I woke up late with a headache. I quickly lifted my shirt to check my tattoo. It was there, fresh as new. I smiled to myself, “So it wasn’t a dream after all.”
I took a pain reliever and made myself some mango juice. I checked my email and found Yoongi’s message. Just the thought of reading it made my whole body squirmy.
“You’re a rebel at heart.”
It was such a compliment to me. All my life, I’d only had dreams. But I felt like a coward every time I stepped away from fulfilling them. I decided, as soon as my semester would be over, I’d start getting piano lessons as well.
“Maybe Yoongi can teach me.” I thought and smiled.
It was my turn to return the compliment.
“The courage you have to show the vulnerable side of yours, makes you stronger.”
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I texted Yoongi that I had three classes, so I would meet him at evening. I already missed more than half of the first class since I woke up late. During the other classes I kept checking my phone often to see if he had replied. There was none.
Once my last class was done, I called him. It sent me straight to voicemail, “Hey Yoongi, it’s me. Just called to know when you’re free so that we could hangout… Yeah! So, call me back when you can, okay?”
I was waiting anxiously all evening. But there was not a single text or call from Yoongi. I kept wondering what could be the reason.
“He’s probably busy, that’s all.” I tried to reassure myself. But there was a part of me which felt like something was not right.
Maybe my last message mentioning about his vulnerable side was too much. Maybe he never meant for me to see that, but he was drunk enough to let that slip.
It was already midnight. Yoongi hadn’t contact me for a whole damn day. I was really stressed at that point. I felt like I had messed up. I wanted to cry.
“Why do you have to be so clingy, you pathetic bitch?” I shouted out at myself. That didn’t help. Since there was nothing I could do, I finally fell asleep wishing that as soon as I woke up, everything would be okay.
I checked my phone the next day. There was still no reply. So, I felt like it was time I wrote my final Words-of-Affirmation to him.
“You are someone’s favorite person in the entire world.”
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Yoongi texted me that evening, “Meet me at the park.”
I saw Yoongi waiting for me beside the park bench we were sitting on two nights ago. I went to him and he looked up, his expression unreadable.
“Why didn’t you call me yesterday?” was the first thing that came out of me.
“It doesn’t matter.” He said, “Our project ends today.”
“Project?” I was too confused. What did he mean by that? Were we just hanging out because of that stupid project? I felt too numb to react to that.
Yoongi took some time before he said slowly, “It doesn’t feel right.”
“What?” I asked.
“We shouldn’t be hanging out.”
“And why is that?” I was getting a little angry at him.
“Everything’s happening too fast. I don’t think I’m ready to handle them.” He sounded as if he were scared.
“Yoongi, it’s okay! We all feel overwhelmed at times. It’ll pass. Just take it easy and see what comes next.”
“No!” he said, “Please, don’t try to get too close. We’ll both end up being hurt.”
“I’m sure that won’t happen.” I stepped forward. But Yoongi took a step back.
“But you don’t know me.”
“I want to know you.” I said, “At least give me a chance.”
Yoongi gave out a mocking laugh, “How can you do that when I don’t even know myself?”
That was it. I couldn’t bring myself to say anything else. I stood there in silence. Tears threatening me every moment to burst out.
“There is a lot I still need to figure out.” Yoongi said finally, “I need to find myself first in order to let people get close to me. I don’t want to lose any loved ones anymore.”
He came closer and took my hands. He gave me a folded paper and said, “It’s my last message to you. Forgive me for everything, will you?”
Then he walked away. Tears kept falling from my eyes as I didn’t stop them anymore. Crying was the only way I knew to deal with grief.
I opened the paper when I got home.
“You have so much potential in you that once you realize your destiny, no one can stop you from achieving it.”
Whatever the destiny was, I didn’t know it. All I knew was that what Yoongi needed was time. And I could surely gave him that. But I was not going to give up on him.

I refused to get up from my bed. Or should I say, I was unable to do so. Because I was going through the worst period cramps this month. I am very pain sensitive. So whenever I had bad cramps, it always made me cry my eyes out.
"Aren't you going to have your breakfast, sweety?" My sister asked while gently patting my head over the blanket under which I had taken my refugee.
My phone rang and I whined in annoyance. My sister brought it to me and said, "C'mon! Your bunny's calling you."
I pulled my hand out of the blanket and took the phone in. My sister left to avoid hearing our cheesy conversation.
"So, no good morning for me today, love?" I could imagine the pout forming on Jungkook's lips.
"No!" I said shortly.
"Have my baby girl been crying?" The tone was a little bit alarmed.
"Yes!" I said again.
It didn't take too long for Jungkook to understand the matter. And nothing much was needed to be said. He was on my doorstep already.
Ding Dong!
"Look, who's here?" My sister called from the living room.
Despite the pain, I walked out of my bed, my blanket still wrapped around me. As soon as Jungkook saw my miserable state, he pulled me into a warm embrace and I sank into his huge muscular body.
"I've brought you dark chocolates, love." Jungkook whispered softly and kissed me on my ear.
Minutes later, we were squeezed in the couch, blanket covering the both of us, my head resting on Jungkook's chest, biting onto my chocolate every now and then, while Jungkook hummed on to an ost of 'The Goblin' being played on the TV.

Finally, the moment they were waiting for had arrived. The ‘Master of Shadow’ had left the facility and went for his car.
Taehyung pointed at him, “It’s him! Did you see the mark?”
There was a clear mark of a flower being encircled on his forehead. Everybody knew what that mark meant. It was a mark seen on the body of every wizard who worked for OHA. Though most of them would get the mark in an area where it could be concealed by garments, this wizard had decided to get it on his forehead instead. It was clear that he was proud to be a part of this nasty organization.
“Remember, what we have to do?” Namjoon asked one last time. Everyone nodded in union. Then, they attacked.
Though the wizard was momentarily shocked at their sudden approach, he soon regained his senses and attacked them back with his years of knowledge in magic. Though he was old, it was evident in his moves that he was a really powerful being. No wonder, he was considered the ‘Master of Shadow’.
The boys had targeted to blind his eyes first with the potion Yoongi had given them. Then they would force him to go to sleep playing the kithara of Apollo; which was again a stolen item Seokjin had provided them with.
They could have handled it easily as they had already out numbered him by four. But a guard suddenly appeared on the scene. He was unarmed. So, he soon turned back to go back to the facility to inform others.
Seokjin ran after him. Their mission could get difficult if more people joined the opposition. They had only managed to blind the wizard. Making him lose his senses completely would take some more time. Jimin was still playing the kithara fervently.
“Don’t worry!” Seokjin shouted back at them, “I’ll buy you some time.” And he was already gone inside the facility.
Soon afterwards, the wizard’s huge body fell to the ground, announcing that he was out. They tied him up as quickly as possible.
“Why isn’t Seokjin coming back?” Jungkook asked anxiously.
“We don’t have much time.” Jimin announced, “He might wake up any time.”
“Alright!” Jungkook said, “I’ll go find Seokjin. You guys take him home.”
“No!” Jimin was about to argue.
“There’s no time.” Namjoon urged him, “Let’s go back.” Then, he looked at Jungkook and said, “We’ll come back for you.”
Master of Shadow; the most powerful wizard the earth had ever seen, now sat powerless in front of Yoongi. He couldn’t help but feel proud of himself. No wizard had ever dared to pick up a fight with the Master. He was the most ancient wizard alive.
“Welcome back!” Yoongi called as the huge wizard opened his eyes.
“I was hoping to meet you soon, Yoongi.” The wizard said. There wasn’t any sign of fear or hesitation in those old eyes, which made Yoongi nervous. “I don’t see your friends around. Are you afraid I might spill the tea?” The wizard started to laugh in a gigantic way.
“I am not afraid of your useless threats.” Yoongi said, sounding a lot more confident than he felt.
The wizard shook his head slowly, “I pity you, Min Yoongi. You had so much potential in you.” The wizard started to cough. Yoongi waited for him to finish whatever it was he was trying to say. “I remember how proud your grandfather was of you.”
“Don’t speak of him.” Yoongi scoffed.
There was a moment of silence. Then, the wizard said, “You didn’t hope that I would provide you any information about the company, did you?”
“I can’t even dream about it.” Yoongi said, rolling his eyes, “And for the record, I don’t wish for any kind of help from you. I know enough about the company myself.”
Yoongi cleared his throat and continued, “It is not unknown to anyone how powerful of a being you are. My true intention is to keep you away from everything to make our mission easier.”
Yoongi was about to leave when the wizard called him, “I only have one question to you.” As Yoongi turned back, he asked, “Why, Yoongi? Why would you choose those inferior creatures over us, humans?”
Yoongi let out a chuckle, “You’ll never change.”
“That doesn’t answer my question.” This time, he sounded as if he was curious and not mocking anyone.
So, Yoongi decided to be honest, “Because, they are more human than any human I’ve ever known.”
Jungkook kept going around the building, searching for Seokjin. He couldn’t go inside and risk getting caught. But it had been hours. All kinds of scary thoughts were surrounding his mind. “What if they had locked him up?” he thought.
Just when Jungkook was about to lose hope, Seokjin showed up. He was limping as he walked but looked completely fine otherwise.
“Hyung!” Jungkook went straight for a hug.
Seokjin looked surprised for a moment. “You’ve waited?” he asked.
“Of course, I did.” Jungkook said, still hugging him tightly. Seokjin nodded and hugged him back. Quite some time had already passed when they let go of each other.
“Let’s go back.” Jungkook said, “They must be worried about us.” Jungkook took one of his hands over his shoulder and helped support Seokjin while they walked.
“What was that you called me, earlier?” Seokjin asked suddenly.
“Huh?” Jungkook said.
Seokjin let out a chuckle, “You’re probably hundreds of years older than me. But I’ll allow it since you’re cute.”
The others were seen at a distance. As soon as they saw them, they came running.
“Thank Gods!” Hoseok exclaimed, “You’re both safe.”
“Wow!” Seokjin said sarcastically, “All of you came back for me?” He seemed to be counting heads. Then, he added, “I don’t see Yoongi.”
“Someone has to stay with the wizard.” Namjoon informed. Then, he took Seokjin’s arm from Jungkook and put it around his shoulder. “Now, tell me, did you get hurt?” Namjoon pointed at his limping leg.
Seokjin shook his head, “It’s nothing.”
“Let’s go back home.” Taehyung suggested, “It had been a long day. I’m starving.”
Seokjin nodded and muttered under his breath, “Yeah, let’s go back…home.”
Their first mission was a success. And surprisingly no one was badly hurt. Jimin suggested they should celebrate this victory. Nothing more was needed to be said.
They took out all the huge bottles of alcohol that Yoongi had brewed over the months. They drank and drank until they couldn’t anymore. Other than Jungkook, most of the supernaturals got drunk pretty fast, even before Yoongi, himself.
But there was a minor inconvenience. One of them had to go check on the wizard every now and then. Even though he was sleeping like a baby, nobody trusted him to be left alone for too long. Who knew, what he was up to?
“I can’t even remember when the last time was that I got drunk.” Taehyung said.
“Yeah, me too.” Jimin sat beside him. Then, Taehyung started to play with Jimin’s smooth hair like a puppy.
Jungkook sighed, “Wish I could know that feeling!” He gulped down the whole content of his glass in one go.
“Alright, guys!” Seokjin announced, “I’m going to sleep, now. Who will join me?”
“Wish I could!” another huge sigh left Jungkook’s mouth.
“Jungkook-ah!” Seokjin called, “Come lie with me. Hyung knows a way for Jungkook to get the closest feeling to that of sleeping.”
Jungkook climbed on to the bed beside Seokjin. Then, Seokjin started to hum a lullaby. Everybody grew quiet, taking in the beautiful music coming out of him. The low hum grew into a complete song.
Jungkook’s eyes started to get wet. He had a vague memory of his mother humming a lullaby to him when he was just a human child. But no matter how much he tried, he couldn’t recall her face. Jungkook buried his face in Seokjin’s chest, while he softly stroked his hair.
“He sings like an angel.” Hoseok whispered to Yoongi. Though Yoongi didn’t know how an angel sang, he still nodded in agreement.
Yoongi was looking at Hoseok fondly as he tucked in each of the sleeping member with blanket one by one. Apparently, Seokjin’s sweet lullaby was strong enough to put everyone to sleep.
“Are you going to stay like that?” Hoseok asked Jungkook, who was still burying his face on Seokjin’s chest while hugging him tightly. Jungkook nodded and mumbled something inaudible to indicate that he was alright that way.
Hoseok placed a soft goodnight kiss on Jungkook’s head and stood up to see Yoongi staring at him. Hoseok smiled, making a twist inside Yoongi’s stomach. Then, Hoseok signaled him to get out for some fresh air.
Both of them sat on the railing of the roof in their abandoned building with their feet hanging outside. There was a bottle of whiskey Yoongi had brought to share with Hoseok. Every now and then, lightning were striking in the sky suggesting that it might rain anytime.
“Thank you for doing all this.” Hoseok said, “Even if I can’t see how you benefit from OHA’s downfall, thank you all the same.” Yoongi nodded and took a sip from the whiskey bottle.
Then, Hoseok added, “I can’t believe I’m so close to finally meeting my friend. When I first came down to earth, among all the chaos, I had lost hopes of ever reuniting with him. Thanks to you, my hopes came back.”
Hoseok looked at Yoongi and smiled. Yoongi remained silent once again.
“Do you even smile?” Hoseok sighed heavily.
“Umm…Hoseok?” Yoongi called.
“Hmm?”
“It’s a hypothetical question, okay? I mean, it’s just a supposition.”
“What is it?” Hoseok asked, curious at Yoongi’s hesitation.
“Suppose we get to the OHA. But… But your friend isn’t there?”
Hoseok laughed, “What do you mean? Where will he be then?”
“What if he’s…he’s dead?”
“Oh!” Hoseok was taken aback. They both remained silent for a while. Finally, Hoseok said, “It’s funny how I’ve never thought about it.”
Starting from small drops, it started to rain wholly. Hoseok stood up to get back. But Yoongi hold his hand, “Please, stay.”
As Yoongi wasn’t the type to make requests often, Hoseok decided to stay a little more.
“Does it rain in heaven?” Yoongi asked
Hoseok shook his head, “It never does.”
Yoongi closed his eyes and faced the sky, thinking how far he had come. He kept pondering over future possibilities. “Will we really succeed?” he thought. He knew very well, what awaited them if they were to fail.
“No, it can’t be.” Suddenly Yoongi heard Hoseok whispering, “You…How?”
Yoongi looked at Hoseok in confusion. “What happened?” he asked.
“You’re one of them.” Hoseok said. He looked terrified of Yoongi.
At that very moment, it finally occurred to Yoongi what Hoseok was trying to say. He looked down on to his chest. The mark was visible through the white wet shirt on his skin. The mark of the OHA wizards, the encircled flower.
Hoseok stood up and pulled away as Yoongi tried to reach for his hand.
“You lied to us. You are going to sell us off to those monsters, aren’t you?” Hoseok almost screamed. Yoongi couldn’t bring himself to say anything. He only kept shaking his head.
“Oh Gods! I’m such a fool.” Then, Hoseok grabbed his own head as it started to get dizzy by all those drinking he had done earlier. Then, he turned away from Yoongi and let out his wings wide open.
“No, Hoseok!” Yoongi called as Hoseok took a flight out into the storming sky.
