Diavolo Headcannons

Okay so hear me out

Many agree that levi has…two. They can also sometimes agree on the…egg thing. And many have added barb to the two club, and hes been in the egg club for a HOT minute. Because well, they’re both reptiles.

…but what about diavolo? He’s represented by a dragon, which, lays eggs. And (depending on who you ask) has two. SO

GIVE HIM THE EGGS. GIVE HIM THE EXTRA ONE. HE IS A REPTILE AS WELL‼️

(Part 2) Since there isn't an extra mini-story of this in Obey Me! Nightbringer yet, I decided to write about the characters in the origin time after MC disappeared (contains spoilers and HCs)

but the thing is,

i don't believe diavolo is "canonically yandere"

and here is why:

first off, those admissions are not unique to "yandere" characters only. multiple characters have expressed wanting to keep mc to themselves. given a chance, they would proclaim so. it can't be a fact contributing to diavolo = yandere if other "non-yandere" characters (say, mammon or asmodeus, or perhaps simeon) would or have already proclaimed such things. Obey Me is a romance oriented game. It is quite normal to hear/read lines of the sort, no matter the character archetype. I've played otome/gacha games including Solmare's games since back when they were still Shall We Date.

second, his character song. i genuinely believe his character song isn't meant to suggest that he's yandere. i personally didn't feel any of the sort. if anything, diavolo's character song seems to suggest desperation. like he was doing his best to sell himself to mc.

"Have you noticed? This is my charm."

"Please don't look away I will catch your heartbeats Say no more and come here"

"I'm a formidable No.1 The unmatched only one Fear nothing and move forward Run run run Always singing with grace La la la la la"

"I have nothing to hide, I am always honest As long as I can, I will do anything for you So yeah, "as an exchange"... ...may not be an appropriate expression But I want that love from you in return"

Even the chorus feels like he was trying to convince mc and him both.

"Fear nothing and move forward." seems to be a message to himself, a reminder that despite possible, suggested fears of not being chosen, not being the closest to the player in comparison to the brothers, especially Lucifer.

It's very hard to explain and I probably should be doing my research paper instead but technically, he is the number 1. He's the prince of Devildom. He has the authority, the riches, the power. He's royalty. But compared to Lucifer and the brothers, he has barely any way to connect to mc. Not to mention that Lucifer is the more present and active forefront.

It's also like...like he thinks he needs to exchange luxury or materials things to be loved.

Honestly I don't think I have enough non-neurodivergent braincells to be able to express my views on the matter clearly and concisely, so this ends here.

So you know that one trend on Tictok with the "Day after tomorrow" song? I decided to write that but with some of the boys (this may not make sence unless you know the trend lol)

(I didn't do all the characters cause I didn't want to)

Diavolo-

My forbidden lover (the human I kidnapped) has been imprisoned (Lucifer grounded them) and I have lost count of how many days have passed since we last saw each other (I saw them five minutes ago at a council meeting) 

Lucifer-

My dear lover has gone off to war (Is visiting family in the human realm for the holidays) and I fear they will not survive the harsh winters (it's snowing) it's been months and they have yet to respond to my letters (I sent them a text three seconds ago and they are typing as we speak)

Leviathan-

My spouse has been cheating on me! (They smiled at one of my brothers) I have never felt so sad and alone! (We are holding hands and are very happy) my entire world is crumbling apart! (They haven't kissed me in five minutes) I fear they dont love me anymore (they tell me they love me a million times a day)

Satan-

Father has sent my star crossed lover far away to keep them away from me (Lucifer sent them to deliver something to Diavolo) I plan to run away to find them (I'm walking with them to the castle) I long for they day I get to hold them in my arms again (they've hugged me many times as we walked.)

A Complicated Conversation

AN: Hello All! Here’s another Illumi update!  pt 4

TW: possessive behavior

Later that night, Illumi visited Y/N in their room. 

“All things considered, I think that went quite well,” Illumi said as he closed the door behind him. Y/N sat on their bed, muscles tensed and teeth clenched. Illumi frowned and edged closer. 

“Did you hear me?”

Silence met Illumi’s ears. Y/N glared at the eldest Zoldyck before turning their attention back to the wall. Illumi’s usually dull eyes lit up just a tad. 

“Oh. Are we having our first lover’s quarrel? Mother said that happens often. I’ve witnessed many between her and father mys-”

“Illumi! This is serious! That was awful. What are you getting me into? And what did Madam Zoldyck mean by tests?” Y/N was fuming. They stood up, meeting Illumi face to face. Y/N jabbed their finger in Illumi’s chest as they spoke. 

“I don’t know what you’ve gotten me into, but I didn’t sign up for any of this!” Y/N said. 

Illumi tilted his head. 

“I don’t understand. You’ve accepted my courtship, of course you accepted all that came with it as well.”

“That was before I actually knew what I was getting into! We just serve your family, we aren’t exactly knowledgeable about the dynamics of it. This is insane! I don’t want to do this anymore, Illumi, sir.” 

Illumi looked at Y/N, unblinking. Y/N shivered under his gaze. They felt a pain shoot through their arm, and looked down to see Illumi’s hand gripping them tightly. 

“You’re tired. You should get some rest, or otherwise you’ll say things you don’t mean,” Illumi said. Bile started to raise in Y/N’s throat. 

“You’re hurting me.” 

“And you’re hurting me. You don’t reject the ones you love. You don’t leave the ones you love,” Illumi said. By now, he had let go of Y/N wrist, allowing them to massage their bruised bones. 

“Master Zoldyck-”

“Illumi.” 

“Illumi,” Y/N whimpered. “Please. I’m uncomfortable.” 

“There’s nothing to be concerned about, Y/N. I’ve already said, I’ll handle everything. As your lover, it would look poor of me to not take care of you completely. I’ll train you. I’ll help you whenever my mother decides to test you to see if you are to her standards. There is nothing else to worry about,” Illumi said. 

Y/N ground their teeth. 

“You’re not listening to me,” Y/N said. 

“I hear you very well. I also understand that you are tired. Rest.” 

Y/N watched as Illumi pulled up a chair and sat next to Y/N’s bed. He patted a space on the bed, goading Y/N to sit. When Y/N didn’t move, Illumi scoffed and stood. He opened his arms. 

“Y/N,” he said.

Y/N held fast to their position. They flinched when Illumi moved to pull them down onto their bed. Y/N folded their arms as Illumi settled into the chair next to them. 

“Now. You’ll sleep. I’ll watch over you. You’ll see that I’m an excellent suitor, Y/N. I’ll take care of it all.” 

“No. I don’t want you to watch me sleep. That’s strange,” Y/N said. At this, Illumi frowned. 

“You’ve never had a problem with it before.” 

Y/N looked at Illumi as though he had three heads. 

“What do you mean, ‘before’?”

“I always watch you sleep. I have since you accepted my courtship. Are you telling me you didn’t know? It would seem we have more training than I previously thought,” Illumi mused. 

“Master Zoldyck!” 

“Illumi.” 

Y/N massaged their temples and laid flat on their back. 

“Illumi. Please. I’ll go to sleep, only if you don’t watch me,” Y/N said. 

“I don’t want anything to happen to you during the night,” Illumi said. 

“Nothing will happen! Please, you’re right. I’m tired and want to rest. Let me rest, please Illumi?” Y/N placed a tentative hand on Illumi’s shoulder. Illumi looked at Y/N’s hand, and slowly nodded. 

“I’ll be checking on you during the night.” 

With that, Y/N watched as Illumi shut them into darkness.
