Tell me about despair, yours, and I will tell you mine.
Meanwhile the world goes on.
the first time i watched this scene i found it funny when todd thew up but now when i watch i get it... this scene genuinely makes me feel sick to my stomach in the most heart aching gut wrenching way
this sequence absolutely breaks me bc todd was taking in the beautiful scenery and wanted to share the moment with neil out of habit but then he turns around, searches through the dps members and remembers neil is gone now and becomes physically sick realizing he’s lost his best friend and lover... this seems like a basic insight of the film but i didn’t understand the emotional depth of the scene until my second watch
i feel like todd’s the kind of guy to downplay anything bad that happens to him and instead focuses solely on his friends like

pitts, tripping and falling onto todd causing both of them to fall on the ground and todd to hit his head
todd, slurring slightly: a’ ‘ou oka’ (are you okay)
pitts, panicking because todd probably has a concussion and he only scraped his hands: NOW is NOT the time todd
todd: ‘our han’s loo’ hur’ (your hands look hurt)
pitts about to cry: todd please don’t talk i have to take you to the nurse
//

thinking about how guilty charlie must have felt about neil’s death because if he just hadn’t listened to mr keating, if he’d persisted and fought my perry a bit harder, if he’d done something more then maybe neil would never have gone home and maybe neil would still be alive

chameron is literally my least favourite ship of all time.
like i love charlie to the moon and back but hes an asshole to cameron and i think its weird when people romanticise that. they dont have banter or tension they straight up dislike each other and most of the time charlie is just plain mean to cameron. i like charlie and i think half the stuff he says to cameron is funny and i also think it doesnt cut that deep for cameron to be on the receiving end.
but in no way shape or form should their behaviour be considered romantic.
well bestie i’ll let you know when my new fic drops bc thats exactly what it is
i'm going to be honest i physically can't imagine anderperry as enemies to lovers
do not talk to me. i am currently crying in anderperry
Todd: okay raise your hand if you thought Neil and I were dating
Everyone:
Todd: Neil, put your hand down
no one:
neil: the shape, it’s quite, aerodynamic 😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉
todd:
neil: are u in love with me yet
was bored
I- gale... you’re done. you’re done.
Just realized that there's probably a lot of dps fans here on Tumblr that don't follow Gale Hansen on Twitter and didn't see him tweet this the other day so here you go
the devil made me do it but i also kinda wanted to

BREAKING NEWS
The World’s First Unmanned Flying Deskset allegedly knocked Mr. Perry off the face of the planet and his son, inventor Neil Perry won a Tony for his brilliant performance in an off broadway, local production (at Henley Hall) as Puck in A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
no thoughts just shy neil perry
once again... im sorry but i had to do it
i wholeheartedly believe that neil’s death ruined todd and that he never would have recovered. he spent the rest of his life with his guard up being haunted by what neil did and was never able to fully trust anyone ever again
