sunset on the water, natures shadows, & mystical days in the sun
easy witchy tips i have learnt through my craft
writing a protective sigil inside your door to avoid bad energies to enter your room
making sigils by yourself works better because you pour your intention into it and can be a great way to manifest
white candles can replace any candle when doing candle magick
clear quartz can replace any crystal
when drinking your daily coffee/tea, stir clockwise to manifest something and anti-clockwise to let go of something. repeat your affirmations as you stir
salt baths absorb bad energies so having a salt bath once in a while helps with having your energies balanced
write an affirmation in a bay leaf and burn it to manifest it
always keep iron on you for protection
work with the moon phases and transits to make your spells more powerful
keep a sigil in your phone case for protection/manifestation
after giving an offering to a deity, return it to the earth
drink mugwort tea for lucid dreaming/astral projection (don’t drink it if you are pregnant!!)
before you put a crystal under water or in the sun, research about it
keep a dream journal. it helps for lucid dreaming.
put an amethyst under your pillow to sleep better and to recall your dreams
charge your tarot/oracle cards by putting a crystal on top of them while you are not usinf them
mix moon or sun water with your cosmetics for a quick beauty spell
try to do an activity to connect yourself with each element everyday. (ex: a bath for water, walking barefoot for earth, lighting a candle for fire, singing for air)
make an habit of meditating everyday
please never stop talking passionately about the things you love

The thing is, we change. We are not the same person we were five years ago. Hel, a lot of us are not even the same people we were last week. We change, and our beliefs, favourites, thoughts and the way we see ourselves changes with it.
The same is true for our witchraft, religion and spiritual beliefs. This is why I have a list of question that I like to answer for myself every couple of years. I first started this when I came across a list of questions by Juniper from Walking the Hedge (site no longer in use) in 2008, yes, over ten years ago. Every few years I filled in the questions and looked back at the answers I gave before. Some never changed, some changed quite a lot.
When our coven started a new lesson plan, I gave out the list of questions as well. We sealed our answers in envelopes and plan to fill them in again, once we finish our lessons. Then open the envelopes and look at the answers side by side. To see how we have changed.
I looked at the list last week and found it actually lacking a bit. The questions were very deity- and spiritual based, so I was missing some more questions about my personality and witchcraft. So I decided to make my own list of questions!
Since I wanted to make this more a weekly journaling/grimoire prompt for myself I put together 52 questions. These can be answered weekly (maybe every year) or you can work through the list in one go and repeat that every few years or so.
Some notes on the wording: I consider myself both a witch and a pagan, but to keep it easier to read I only used wording like “witch” and “witchcraft”, they can however be substituted for “pagan”, “paganism” or even “my path”, should that fit you better. When I talk about “sacred space” this can both mean a ritual space like a temple or casting of a circle, but also just your home or outdoors witchy environment.
I’d love it if you would tag anything you feel comfortable with posting online with the tag #writeyourwitchcraft!

Here are some cosmic and celestial things you can work into your everyday life to make it a little more magical. You do not need to be a cosmic witch to practice these!
Wear clothing and accessories with symbols of space and the stars. Allow your appearance to remind yourself and everyone of your connection to the cosmos.
Use a galaxy bath bomb. There are many shops online that sell glittery bath bombs that make your tub look like the night sky.
Decorate your room with fairy lights. Let the small dots of light remind you of the stars even when you are indoors.
Check your horoscope every day. Turn to the stars for guidance.
Put your bed near a window so at night you can gaze at the stars and the moon.
Notice when the moon is out during the day and remember that she is surrounded by stars even if you cannot see them.
Wear blue goldstone jewelry or keep a blue goldstone in your pocket to remind you of the stars.
Decorate your altar with stars. You can use beads or charms or little bottles of glitter.
Study the constellations during the day and see if you can find them at night. Keep up to date on what constellations are visible at the current time of year.
Keep notes on the moon phases and how they affect your day. You might notice you have more energy on full moons or you feel more anxious when it is waning. See how you are connected with the moon.
Make moon water nightly and drink it in the morning to prepare yourself for the day.
Buy moon shaped crystals and use them for your altar or for meditation.
Meditate with selenite to connect to the moon and access your higher self.
Use labradorite for warding and protection. It is a crystal that can harness the energy of the moon to protect you and your home.
To purify things using lunar energy, use opal. Place an opal next to your water at night to make it moon water. Opalite is a cheaper alternative but know that it is a manmade stone.
These past few weeks has been quite busy for me, so I took some time off to simply read A day of fallen night, I’m really enjoying it so far!
I can’t believe it’s done! I finally finished my session, one more to go and I can move on from college! In my literature program we had our final project to write three short stories that we would put in a collective book and I can finally have it in my hands.
Next step, my next book creation will be entirely done by me!
