"Itty bit?" Ari's warm baritone boomed from the staircase, "you up here?" you could hear his larger-than-life frame stalking down the hallway.

You squealed with intoxicated glee, making yourself as small as possible as you ducked the rest of the way into the enormous hockey duffle bag, tucking your head in just as he rounded the corner into his bedroom.

"Bit?" Ari called, gripping the doorframe to steady himself as he surveyed the space.

It was the last few days of your sophomore year and you had both indulged in a few too many at the end of year Gong-Show-Stopper.

Ari was leaving tomorrow to go back to Canada for the summer and you were trying to drown your sorrows in a vat of Cappy's puck-bunny pantie droppin' punch.

"Itty?" Ari called again, looking around the dimly lit room.

You cupped your hand over your mouth, an attempt to muffle your tipsy giggles as Ari's eyes landed on the wiggly bag at the base of his bed.

"Hmmmm" Ari hummed, theatrically, "where could my itty bit be?"

You hugged your knees to your chest, a fit of hiccups overtaking you as you tried to hold off another round of giggles.

"Well... I guess I better get going home" Ari continued, bending over and picking up his bag, with you in it, before slinging it clumsily over his shoulder.

"Oh, Canada..." Ari hummed low in his chest as he turned to leave the room.

Ari let his hand run down the length of the bag, lingering when he found the curve of your ass. He smirked when he heard you gasp, drawing his palm back and bringing it down with a hard crack to your backside. Ari laughed when you cried out.

"Levs" you chirped, jolting and making him fumble the bag, both of you crashing to the floor in a heap as he tried to catch you.

"Fuck... sorry" Ari groaned, "didn't mean to drop you, bit."

"Shit" you hissed, pushing your way out of the bag and siting up with your hair all askew, grumbling about him being the pain in your ass.

"What were you doing in there?" Ari asked, leaning on his elbow casually as he stretched across the floor with a lazy smirk.

"You weren't supposed to find me" you whined, pouting out your bottom lip playfully, "I was trying to stole-away so you'd take me to Canada."

"Stowaway" Ari smiled, sitting up and yanking his hockey duffle, with you still in it, closer- his long legs caging you in as he attempted to smooth your hair back in place.

"Yeah... stole-away" you hiccuped, leaning into his touch with a purr.

"Stow-away" he tried correcting you again as your nose knocked against his with a soft hum.

"Hi" you whispered, a kaleidoscope of butterflies fluttering in your chest when his smiled sleepily at you. 

"Hi, my little stole-away" Ari's smile was almost shy as his eyes flickered to your mouth, licking his lips and pausing for only a second before leaning into you as your stomach did a somersault.

"No" you squeaked, your hands slapping over his face, hastily covering his mouth and beard as you pushed him away from you.

"No what?" Ari grunted a laugh, confused at your reaction.

"No kissing!" your huffed, emotions on high.

"Oh, come on" Ari scoffed, "you totally wanted me to kiss you... been giving me that look all night..."

"What look" you exhaled, narrowing your eyes at him.

"That kiss me look" Ari's smile was too smug for his own good.

"I have not" you chirped, "I am not one of your groupies" you emphasized, "we've never kissed before... we're not starting now..."

"You've sucked my cock" Ari smirked as you pushed your way out of the duffle bag, your thighs clenching involuntarily at the mention of his thick cock.

"That's different" you scowled, "and we agreed... this wasn't going to become a thing..." you motioned between you and Ari.

"How is that different?" Ari laughed, shaking his head with confusion as he watched you shimmy out of the duffle back, a baby gazelle on new legs, wobbling before he offered you a large hand to steady yourself.

"It just..." you sighed, giving pause to the moment as your thoughts tried to catch up, "is..." you settled on as you scrambled up to his bed, sitting down and leaning over to unbuckle your shoes.

"What if I wanna?"Ari asked.

"You want to kiss me?" your voice cracked, feeling a heat crawl over your cheeks as your heart hammered against your ribcage.

"Well... I'm drunk... you're drunk. We can make out a little" he shrugged like it wasn't a big deal.

But it was a big deal. You felt yourself slipping and you knew you couldn't. You couldn't fall for Ari. He didn't see you that way.

You refused to meet Ari's gaze, scowling as your fingers fumbled with your shoes. Falling back on his bed with a heavy exhale of frustration.

Ari joined you on the bed, taking your ankle in his large hands as he set your foot in his lap, gently working the buckles of your shoes open before pulling you foot out. You sighed, room spinning a little while you watched him remove your other shoe.

"Kisses are for when it matters" you murmured, unable to tear your eyes from him when his gentle touch stirred something deep in your belly.

"You do matter" Ari was quick to answer, removing his tshirt and throwing it at you as he stood to shuck his shorts off, tossing them to the floor before pulling the comforter back and slipping into his bed.

You frowned, but quickly removed your shirt- platonic sleepovers had quickly become your weekend routine unless one of you was seeing someone else. Ari leaned back staring up at the ceiling as you slipped into his oversized shirt.

"No... I mean..." you grunted, leaning back in his bed as you struggled to wiggle out of your pants. Ari sat up, giving you a playful eye roll while gripping the bottom of your pant legs and tugging them down your body.

"Thank you" you felt your face heat again when Ari got a flash of your panties before you scrambled backwards under the comforter.

"You matter, bit" Ari smiled, watching you get comfortable, sinking into the familiar bed as your eyelids got heavy.

"I know..." you smiled watching him reach over to turn off the bedside light, "I just... kisses are for when this matters, Levs."

"This?" Ari asked as you took a deep breath.

"When I'm more than just your next willing throat" you swallowed down that bitter bile taste of tipsy over-sharing, "if" you tried to correct quickly, but it was already now.

Ari was quiet for several minutes, pensive as he appeared to be lost in thought before turning towards you with a smile.

"You matter... you're special, bit... not like any of the others" he finally said as you felt yourself slip away- giving in to the tired as it seeped into your bones. You sighed melting into Ari's chest when he pulled you into his side.

"You're special to me too" you murmured, just about drifting into a light sleep as Ari spoke again.

"Ya know what would be really special?" Ari ducked closer and you could feel the smirk of his lips brushing over your crown.

"Don't..." you groaned.

"A special goodbye from a willing throat" Ari's voice cut through the silence only to be met with a pillow right to his stupidly pretty face.

Ari grunted as you giggled sleepily, rolling away from him before he wrapped his thick arm around your waist, tugging your back to his chest- his little spoon- made just for him.

Soon you were lulled to a restless sleep- listening to the low rumble of his chest.

Bright sunlight streaming in through the window made you groan. The disappointed made your chest feel unbearably tight when you rolled over to an empty bed. It was early enough that the air wafting in through the cracked window was still crisp with a bite of cool summer breeze. You stretched, arms reaching out over Ari's side of the bed, your brows furrowing when you felt how cold his spot was under your fingertips. Your heart clenching in your chest before you heard him walk back into his bedroom, bending to stuff something in his packed duffle bag.

"There she is” he smiled, sitting on the edge of the bed, "I gotta get going soon..."

"OK" you murmured, pulling his sheets up over your face, just your eyes blinking sleepily up at him.

"Come here, bit" he opened his large arms, waiting for a hug.

"I haven't brushed my teeth" you squeaked in protest before he ripped the sheet from your grasp, wrapping his arms around you and pulling you up to a seated position.

"Hey!" you yipped, mildly protesting Ari's gentle manhandling when his took you by the wrists and tugged you into his lap.

"I don't care, bit... get over here" he laughed, tugging you against his chest and pulling you in his lap, "I'm gonna miss you" he said, pressing a kiss to the sleep matted crown of your head.

"I'm gonna miss you" your arms wrapped around his waist as you took a deep breath, trying to memorize his scent.

"You don't gotta leave if you don't want... Cappy's here for the summer" Ari said.

"Rooming with Cap for the summer?" you snorted, "no thanks."

"Yeah... probably not a good idea" Levs laughed, his hand ran down the length of your back as you shivered into him.

"Don't forget me, pretty girl" Ari gave you another quick squeeze and your eyes quickly filled with tears, choking on a watery scoff.

"I won't" you sniffed, wiping at your eyes as Ari pulled away, holding you at arms length to study your face.

"Aw, bit... don't cry" Ari teased, pulling you back into his chest in a crushing hug.

You melted into him, tears streaking his shirt before you pulled away.

"You better get on the road" you cleared your throat, slipping from Ari's lap back into his bed.

Ari smiled warmly at you before leaning over and grabbing his duffle bag. He pressed a wordless kiss to your forehead before standing and walking out of his room. Ari paused at the door, turning back to you, but didn't say anything as he left the room.

You breathed out a heavy exhale, slumping back against his pillow with a whimper. How were you going to survive the entire summer without him?

"Hey, bit?" Ari called, walking back into the room with purpose and dropping his duffle to the floor with a thunk.

“It matters" he murmured, kneeling down next to you and framing your face in his large hands as he captured your lips in a bruising kiss.
