Hey guys, if you have the time please click this link and go view the AIDS memorial quilt. As of last year, all 1.2 million feet of the quilt has been photographed and made viewable to the public.

As such a cornerstone to our community as queer people, the AIDS quilt was a sign of love and remembrance of all who were lost. And for some, with no solution in sight. What a wonder science is, because living as HIV/AIDS positive is no longer a death sentence. It is a treatable and manageable disease. We can live full and happy long lives and not transmit the disease.

When it was intitially unveiled, the quilt had about 2,000 panels and it was now bloomed into 48,000. The majority of them measuring 6'3". About the size of a grave.

I urge you to take the time to treasure, understand, and support our community. As their lives and the queer movement- have brought undoubtable freedom as we live in our own.

Making a quilt can take countless of hours. And a quilt of this size, it’s a whole generations worth.

It’s garbage like stalking and harassment that makes good actors want to stop being social, stop acting. Ya’ll did the same thing to Finn Wolfhard, who was a minor when he started acting. A MINOR. Regardless of the age of the person, can we all STOP being monsters towards the people we admire? in the eight weeks since then, people have:

found his spotify and followed him, prompting him to make all of his playlists private

allegedly leaked his address and email (i haven’t seen any proof and i don’t want to since that’ll mean seeing them for myself, so i’m just taking people’s word on this one)

allegedly turned up at his house???

apparently weirded his dad out enough that he made his twitter private

filmed him from a distance while he was out with a woman

posted videos of an alleged dating profile of his

stalked the facebook profiles of his family and friends in order to find photos of him from the ages of like 12-20 and then post them all over tiktok

a teenager in another country stole the photos of a girl who met him at london comic con and accused him of sexual assault

and this is all without even getting into him being overbooked by hundreds of people at his first convention. all of this stuff is from people who claim to be fans of his. why the fuck would anyone want to be famous or interact with people who claim to like them when this is what happens in the space of two months
