Not to get emotional on main, but do you ever think about how this wave of LGBT cartoons really fills the hole in your heart that’s there because you never got proper representation as a child?

Because I like to think about how, while these cartoons are filling the hole in our hearts, they are also making sure that younger LGBT people don’t ever have to experience that hole. Younger LGBT people will never have to go through what we did and that’s amazing.

We gotta stop comparing it to Gravity Falls so much. Yes, the humor is the same. I love the humor! I love how Alex Hirsch’s voice has wiggle-wormed his way into the characters/process! But part of what made the fandom slower to start was people coming in expecting the same as Gravity Falls, not getting it, and leaving in a huff.

Okay hear me out. What if the owl house had a parent-teacher day episode?

So like Eda has to pretend to be Luz’s (adopted) mother; fully equipped with a crappy disguise and poorly thought out pseudo name like ‘Enda’ or son’thin. I feel like things would go until she sees Odalia and Alador Blight (one of my headcanons is that they had a childhood rivalry). Anyways Eda goes on a whole rant about how snobby their ‘stuck up little snot nosed brat must be’. Then Luz is just awkwardly there like ‘uhhhh theyre Amity’s parents hehe,,,’

Then like Odalia and Alador come over a see right through the disguise and start arguing with Eda and they’re probably very brash and snooty while Eda is just throwing playground insults with King and Luz egging he on. I feel like Amity would eventually leave cause she’s uncomfortable and Luz would follow her and they would talk about parents and stuff and eventually they would hug and you’d just seeing Eda booking it down the hallway in the background.

Did you know that if you google images of couples’ ice skating lifts the large majority of results either A) Dont show both partners faces, B) have their blades digging into each other’s torsos, or C) literally have their hands on crotches to support the weight of their partner?

This is the only good reference pose I could find that didn’t have the lifter’s hand completely covering the liftee’s entire crotch. I respect ice skating as the art and sport that it is, but also hey guys are y’all doing okay out there???????

i just wanna say- Luz is a badass and her fight with the emperor was just- so damn awesome because she was resourceful, smart, agile- everything we knew about her already but it got shown off and god she's come so far and I love her so much.

Mama Noceda and Baby Noceda!

You may have already seen this on twitter or Reddit. It got a lot of attention on Reddit and I’m happy for that 😊.

I’m not sure why but I always adored Camillia. She’s such a caring mother, she’s amazing in every sense of the way. She’s a medic, a single mom, and so kind and patient. She raised a beautiful daughter and you can tell she loves Luz very much!

I imagined Camillia would spend a lot of time with Luz, even while she was in medical school. Luz is very imaginative and I don’t think she was any different as a child. She probably told her mom stories with dolls or in this case- sock puppets!

The Latine community chose this day and the following mondays to celebrate and appreciate the importance of Luz Noceda's representation for all of us!!

Reminder that Luz Noceda is the first Afrolatina and bisexual protagonist, who's not only an amazing and caring friend but she also learned magic (considered impossible for any human to do), has fought against demons, competed in witch's duels, with the help of her friends possessed a house and she fooled and fought the Emperor himself (proclaimed the most powerful witch in the Boiling Isles).

She's important to many and we shouldn't forget that!

For my Halloween buttons I have Luz as… Azura!

so so true i literally thought amity was the main until i sat down and watched the show which is upsetting because if i had known a queer brown latina like myself was the central character i wouldve watched it much sooner. it also just bothers me that most of time when luz is talked about its in relation to amity and the lumity ship overshadows literally anything else in the fandom which sucks lmao at least its just a fandom problem and the show handles its charaters of color really well imo

Ok so for those of you who don’t have Twitter

The TOH fandom has a big problem with white favoritism. It needs to be brought up and talked about. First, a lot of actual POC are drowned out or ignored or don’t recieve enough acknowledgement. Then there’s the characters. A lot of people are coming in not knowing that Luz, an Afro-Latina female who is bisexual, is the main character because there’s so much about Amity. Gus and Willow are also extremely underrated and overshadowed because of characters that appeared for like one episode, said characters being white. Same with background characters. Everyone goes crazy over Boscha but no one talks about Skara or Kat. Then there’s the problem of Luz and Willows’ parents being called abusive for just trying to help their kids and for wanting what’s best while the Blights (actual abusers) have a lot of posts about them because everyone started dumping over them despite how they treat Amity. Someone else pointed out how Camilia is rarely ever drawn aside from being shipped with a white woman (Eda). Also it’s really kind of sad, for me personally, to finally see a Hispanic main character who’s bi get pushed aside, especially during both Bisexual Awareness Week and Hispanic Heritage Month.
