Since i posted Egyptian Petey and Dogman digitalized, i decided to post Heartbreak AU Petey as well!
Honestly, i didn't quite liked this result, unlike the others this one wasn't made using the sketch as a reference, so that's why it's a bit odd looking. I was still getting used to Photoshop when i made this, so don't be so harsh.
Those are the official Petey's colors, as you can see he have a lot of similarities to young Grampa, the few differences is that his hair is more of a faded blond (because of Grace) and his color palette also different. I tried making his palette an opposite of Grampa for the most part, Petey have a lot of blacks and greens to oppose Grampa whites and pinks.
Originally i wanted to use blue to draw in connection between Petey and Dogman, but i decide otherwise because i liked how the green looked on Petey.
I think there's too many colors, but i guess that's a beginners mistake and i didn't wanted his pants to look exactly like his boots 😅
Egyptian Dogman already out, so now is time for Petey!
Petey was actually the first one that i finished, honestly i didn't liked how i made the stripes, but i think is pretty descent overall.
Both Dogman and Petey were based on egyptian gods, Dogman was based on Anubis and Petey on Bastet.

I seem a lot of people making the egyptian trend on Tik Tok with the Dogman characters, so i decided to do my own take on their designs.
Dogman's design is based on the god of death Anubis and Petey is inspired by the goddess Bastet.

Someone Gets Hurt is the adaptation of my Dogman Au, the Heartbreak AU! Where Dogman and Petey had a relationship in the past and now 3 years later, on different sides of morality they try to mend what they once had!

Little re-design i made for Petey on the Heartbreak AU because i felt really awkward drawing him without clothes 😅
Plus some aditional details about him!
Like you can see, he is 6.2 ft tall and his tail is bit shorter than normal due to the injury he suffered as a child. His fur is really scruffy and choppy for various reasons like, bad nutrition and lack of proper grooming, because of this he is considered unattractive by cat standard and that's partially the reason he so surprised when Dogman started having feelings for him.
He doesn't like dogs because he considers them overrated and privileged, but he gets a change of heart once he starts dating Dogman, especially because Greg has showed to be smarter than most dogs.
Here's Dogman! I didn't changed a lot about him, i just made him a bit more bulky and gave his uniform more details.
As you can see, he have a tail and that's because the doctors were able to attach it to him during the surgery because would be more easy for him to learn how to walk in two legs that way. And Dogman have a slight lil' attraction towards cats. Is rare for animals in this world to feel attraction to other species, because every animal have a different beauty standard, so certain things that could be considered attractive to a dog it isn't to a cat, but Dogman's different from other dogs, he likes cats for unexplicable reasons and he isn't ashamed of that.

Something random that i just realized while reading Dogman comics again is that Petey have a plane
No joke, he legit just have a freaking air plane.
I don't know why i am so surprised but i didn't expected something like, owning an air plane to be part of his character.
Why doesn't anyone ever mentioned that? People out there be making twink Petey while we could have aviator Petey?

Does Petey's dad still exist in this au? And if so would he play a similar role as he did in the movie?
Yes he exist
I have plans to add him to the story eventually, im still thinking about what role he will play but i intend to make it a bit more similar to the books, the context however will be a bit different since we will have Lil Petey using 80-HD to track Dogman instead of Grampa
But for the moment he will only be mentioned by Petey
Does Dogman know that Petey was the one who blew him up in your au? I'm curious how he felt loving, much less working for someone who changed his life so drastically?
Dogman still doesn't know that Petey caused the explosion, but Petey know that his explosion was what created Dogman

Dogman and Petey already got their own posts, now time for Lil Petey!
Like in canon, Lil' Petey's a clone of Petey made with the cloning machine, he was made by Petey after a bunch of his plans to get Dogman back failed. After Dogman left, Petey started feeling very lonely and in a moment of weakness he decided to clone himself with the cloning machine he bought some years ago for Dogman, much to his surprise what came out of the machine was a little innocent kitten.
In this AU, Petey is a lot more acceptant of Lil Petey at first, he's not really happy about the suden responsability that droped on his shoulders but he deals with it better than canon. Afraid that Lil Petey will leave him like Dogman did, Petey doesn't tell him about his job as a villain simply says that he's an inventor (which is not too far from the truth) but Petey still wants him to follow up his steps, so he teaches him about technology and try to convince him that Chief and the others are the villains.

While Lil Petey was messing with his dad's things, he found a photo of him and a dog headed man he doesn't recognize, he asks his dad about it but Petey doesn't seem like he wanna talk about it. Lil Petey then decides to go on a little mission to find the dog headed man, he's able to find him with the help of 80-HD and Dogman, thinking that the little kitten was abandoned decides to take him in. Lil Petey spend some time in Dogman house, till Petey eventually find him and take him home during the night without Dogman realizing.
Lil Petey tries to ask Petey about his relationship with Dogman again, but Petey just says that it doesn't matter and he can't be friends with Dogman because he's a traitor, but Petey slowly realizes that maybe he can use that affection LP and Dogman feel for each other to get him back. Lil Petey doesn't really understand the relationship between Petey and Dogman, he thinks that the solution is just to make them apologize with each other but he soon finds out that is more complicated than that, yet Lil Petey still try to make them at least have a good relationships with each other and he doesn't know yet, but he'll be the key to mend that broken love.

Since i did a stand alone post for past Dogman i decided to do the same with Petey, so here we go!
In the Heartbreak AU, Petey's a well known villain worldwide but he often concentrate his eforts on Ohkay City. His backstory is almost the same as the book, he suffered an accident as a child that cut off the tip of his tail and his dad left shortly after that, with nowhere to go him and his mom went to live in shelter for a while where they didn't had much but his mom was always optmistic that life could get better and so kept pushing throught so Petey could have a better life, in the shelter Petey met a young kitten called Little Jim who became his friend much to Petey displeasure.
There's not many anthropomorphic animal residents in Ohkay City, which results in many of them facing prejudice based on stereotypes, like cats being troublemakers and insensitive. Petey's mom never cared too much about it, often just ignoring it bu Petey had a more agressive way to deal with that often geting into fights and coming home all bruised up, this kind of behaviour only got worse after his mom died due to a disease because she didn't had much money to pay for treatment, that made Petey incredibly mad with the city, and right then and there he decided to become a villain and make everyone pay.
Before Dogman came around, Petey biggest foal was Chief who was the first one to actually capture the cat and imprison him, during his jail time Petey genuinly tried to do good thinking that maybe when he got out he could be a better person and start to do good for society for once. But after getting out of prison, Petey coudn't get a house or a job due to his past, which made him decide to come back to villany and take revenge on Chief who had "ruined his life"
And as we know, he planted a bomb during a city celebration, the bomb didn't got Chief but in compensasion it killed a dog and a man who happened to be around when it exploded, which later on created Dogman! Petey know that his bomb indirectly created Dogman and he feel very guilty about it, he later find Dogman close to his lab and because he can relate to his situation, he decides to take him in and help Dogman as long that he works for him
Petey's tends to be very stressed and a bit grumpy most of the time, but Dogman more optimistic personality tends to calm him down which later results in Petey being a bit more laid back in the present time. He have the custom of falling asleep during work and is addicted to caffeine (because obviously, why not?) Dogman sometimes tries to give him substitutes for coffee to help him be more healthy with little to no success.
At first, Petey doesn't know how to deal with his feelings for Dogman, he starts the relationship thinking that soon he'll get over it or that Dogman will move on to something else, but he gets surprise when he realizes that he's starting to actually fall in love ith him and that he wants a serious relationship with Dogman. Realizing that Dogman really miss Knight, Petey decides to order the cloning machine to make a Knight clone so he could have his owner's back, but before he could show him the machine Dogman hits Petey with the news that he's been accepted into the police.
Petey's get angry with Dogman thinking that he'll abandon him, their discussion become a huge fight resulting in their break up. After a few days, Petey found himself feeling really lonely without Dogman, with everything just reminding him of the times they spend together, he then decided he'll have Dogman back somehow no matter what he has to do.
How to get your boyfriend out of jail in 4 simple steps:

In the Heartbreak AU, since Greg and Knight weren't cops yet the explosion that killed them wasn't meant for them especificaly, it was actually meant to kill Chief as revenge on Petey's part for putting him in cat jail.
After the explosion, Dogman spend a few days on the hospital until his fully recovery only to find out that his owner's girlfriend, Alice had left him and sold their house. With nowhere to go, Dogman is found by Petey who take pity on him and decide to offer him a place to stay, and as repayment Dogman starts working for him.
He would usually just hang out by the lab as some sort of guard dog and help Petey with anything he needed. As Petey only helper, he would also be the one to get him out of jail whenever he needed, for that he had dug a lot of tunnels under cat jail for Petey escape which would later be used to his escapes in the present time
Other than that, Dogman would commit some petty small acts of vandalism because he coudn't bring himself to actually hurt anyone, the bandana around his neck was given by Petey to hide his identity but Dogman also uses to hide the stitches on his neck, especially when he starts falling in love with Petey since he think he doesn't like looking at them. Unlike Petey, Dogman doesn't like being a villain and after a couple years he decide to try to become a cop, he's accepted into the force but that angers Petey who thinks that Dogman wants to abandon him, that triggers a discussion that turns into a huge fight in which they break up and Dogman leaves Petey.
Dogman starts working as a policeman and slowly wins everyone heart, becoming the hero of Ohkay City. No one knows of his past with Petey and he rather stays that way, since he thinks everyone will hate him if they find out.
Lily writes works about totally platonic siblings where characters outside of the sibling pair give them side eye thinking that they are fucking. She can’t help but mention incest every time, like I have read countless books where siblings existed and somehow they managed to not even bring it up even as a hypothetical. Lily lives in an imaginary world where people are super worried about incest when in reality no one thinks of it very much, that’s weird.
Because she writes siblings to be fetishized, like those harem anime where the protagonist little sister have a crush on her brother and everyone like "haha, you're not in love with your brother right? Haha, that's weird"
She wants to call attention to that. Sai Scribbles actually have a theory that Lily does that on purpose as a way to test the grounds and see if her audience aprove of her behaviour, but she also doesn't want to actually admit to like incest to avoid criticism because Lily likes to have the moral highground of every conversation
I think another reason Lily does that is to project her personal fantasies about her sister Courtney, especially because almost every character she writes is basically just herself and the sister/romantic pair is suppose to be this idealized versions of Courtney that Lily have on her head (super submissive little blob, that needs her aid and protection against any threat) emenshment is almost a fantasy for her, because Lily just likes to be needed and admired by everything and everyone

Dogman knew that wasn't true. He wasn't perfect, no one was...the people of this city made that very clear, especially to him
But he liked to believe that, even for a moment, he liked to believe all the lies that Petey had sweetly poisoned his ears with. He knew he shouldn't trust the cat, but every night when he's asleep he swear he could hear Petey's voice in his mind, echoing in your dreams, haunting him with the overwhelming gentleness he used to have.
No one ever calls him perfect. Hell, they hardly even let out a "thank you" when he saves the city, or even a "good boy". Oh how he misses how things used to be, before the fight, before joining the force, before everything.
He misses the nights he spend with Petey, helping on the lab, cuddling on the bed till eventually falling asleep. It was odd to have so much emptness in his bed, he wasn't used to so much silence in his mind. The cat was always so loud...

About Dogman
In this AU, Greg and Knight suffered the accident long before they became cops, they were also way younger than in Canon (around early 20s)
After the accident, Dogman is ostricized by society, abandoned by his girlfriend and evicted from his home. After that, he is found by Petey who offers him a home if he helps him with some stuff
Their relationship lasted for around 3 years, and ended very badly for both of them
Dogman became a cop as a way to honored Knight, who always wanted to work for the force but died before he had the chance
Petey the only one who call Dogman by his name
After the breakup, Dogman goes live on his office for a while until he's able to get his own house
Dogman was 20 when he starts dating Petey and currently in the story he's 27
After the breakup, Dogman cut off Petey from all the photos he had of him. He greatly regrets doing that
Dogman blames himself for Petey evilness
He really misses Petey and wants him back, but doesn't want to admit it to himself
About Petey
Petey's almost the same as canon, the exception is that he's a lot calmer due to Dogman affect and he's a bit controling
Petey suffers from abandonment issues due to his past, which only gets worse after Dogman leaves
Just like in canon, Petey's a criminal with the bad reputation of always geting out of jail. No one knows how he does that, but Dogman's was the one who always got him out
Petey's main reason for becoming a evil doer, other than his mother death is the way he's treated by society not only for being a cat but also by his behaviour. Which is the reason he have so much sympathy for Dogman situation
Dogman is Petey's relationship that lasted longer, other than that he only had a couple flings and unserious relationships
Even after years of their breakup, Petey still wasn't able to get over what he had with Dogman. He constantly tries to seduce him and convince him to come back with him
Petey was 23 years old when he met Dogman and he is currently 30
Before Dogman left, Petey bought the cloning machine to make a clone of Knight so Dogman can have his best friend back. They broke up before that was possible
He pretends to only want Dogman as some kind of sidekick but the truth is that he genuinly wants his love and really cares about him
Currently developing a new Dogman AU, so have some doodles in the meanwhile
Flippy's a character that is severely underated on my opinion
Everyone always talks about how Petey had an amazing character growth, but everyone tends to ignore Flippy's own growth. He starts out as a fish that is said to be evil (my theory is that Flippy was one of those fishes that eat other fish if they share an aquarium with them) and after an unfortunate chain of events, became fully sentient and super smart to the point of developing psychonectic powers, freaking died! Then came back to life as a cyborg fish with the only objective on destroying everything.
There's also a great parallel with Flippy and Dogman, both suffering a nasty accident that caused their death only to be bought back to life, but while Dogman was revived and treated as a hero Flippy was treated as a monster. And there's also the detail that Flippy wasn't fully himself on these moments, because the supa brain dots he ate basically made him angry and he wasn't on fully control of his actions (which means that he probably had an overdose and was most likely addicted for a few time until his fully recovery).
And is worthy mentioning, Flippy almost won! He's probably the Dogman villain that came the closest to actually winning, if Lil Petey didn't befriended him there's was probably no way he could be stopped. I really wished he was more developed in the Dogman comics, he's such an interesting character and would be so cool to see more of him especially his relationship with Petey and Dogman considering his daughter is constantly hanging out with them, plus he could help with the fight with his mind powers (i don't know for sure if he still have his powers, but if Molly still have them after turning good then is very possible he have as well)
Also, worthy mentioning that the man is raising 22 children. It takes a boy to be a father, but a man to be a single mother
