@pscentral event 30: friendship | PSYCH (2006-2014)
Burton Guster has been my best friend since we were five, and maybe, just maybe, if any of you can look yourselves in the mirror and know that you've been half as good a friend to someone else as Gus has been to me, well you too can be considered great.
Clive (to Barbie): Baby, you look ravishing this evening.
Psych (2006 - 2014) ⏤ 6.09, Neil Simon’s Lover’s Retreat
psych is one of my favourite shows ever and, in my distinguished opinion, the second best crime show of all time
anyway im rewatching it and i’m only now noticing the episode titles and they’re killing me
here are some of my favourites:
and, of course, the ever elegant:
I’m so glad they made Gus smart. I’m so glad they made Gus a teammate that speaks his mind and rolls his eyes at the “wacky but cool and always right” protagonist. I’m so glad that he’s a real person who has a life and a job and his own skillsets that rival yet complement Shawn’s. Shawn is fun and makes sure he’s the focal point of the show but I really think the show would be empty without Gus.
If Psych only followed Shawn I’m convinced I would find him irritating and, at times, unwatchable. But there’s something about Gus being there and being exasperated and yet backing Shawn up and correcting him when he’s wrong and Shawn actually listening that makes them. the best duo.
Psych + Textposts: Shawn edition
"my pretty princess" "my babygirl" and it's a grown ass man (shawn spencer)
