Double Click the Mouse now with new eyes
you deserve someone who'll gently stroke your fur and scratch behind your ears while you recite a couple thousand word essay you wrote in your head about a video game you played or something & it makes them go "haha, that's really interesting" every once in a while
took me a long time to find out that stanley cups are a brand of drinking vessel and people weren't just lying about their hockey achievements
A large part of housecat vocalisation toward humans isn’t goal-directed communication, but rather, affiliative signaling: a simple call-and-response protocol which establishes that the participants are part of the same social unit. Amongst themselves, most housecat affiliative signaling is non-vocal, but humans aren’t really physiologically equipped to respond to such signalling in a feline fashion, and cats, well, they’re adaptable.
Which is to say that when your cat yells, and you yell back, so the cat yells again, and so forth, what you’re really saying to each other is “hiiiiii~”.
Bridget I forgot to post here.

“Look at me, I’m a grad student! I’m thirty years old and I made six hundred dollars last year!”
I'm a bit of a Grinch. Holiday gift exchanges can be stressy for me for several reasons—the guessing game of figuring out who's planning to gift-exchange with me so it doesn't turn out awkwardly one-sided; being a minimalist who's overwhelmed by receiving too many new possessions; the possibility of inflicting the same overwhelmedness on other people; and the fact that I and many of my friends are tight on money.
This year I've started an opt-in gifting policy: I've admitted all those things to my friends, and told them that if gift-exchanging with me is important to them, they should actively let me know and provide me with a wishlist.
I'm pleasantly surprised how well people have taken it, and how many people have taken my blessing to not gift-exchange with me! I've got my gifting this year down to a few relatives and one close friend and I didn't have to do any guessing about what to buy and for whom!

Pedophilia ≠ Child Sexual Abuse
Zoophilia ≠ Bestiality
Pedophilia and Zoophilia are the attractions
Abuse and Bestiality are the actions

I love to see art, especially kink oriented art/writing, that I absolutely am not into at all - or even makes me uncomfortable! The amount of effort and care that goes into a craft when it's something the artist is so passionate (and/or horny) about is honestly a beautiful thing to behold
Like seeing stuff involving stuff that I'm not into at all, and I'm just like "what a fucking exquisite way to describe and/or show this, 10/10"
I love seeing ppl express themselves well and truly and being put outside my comfort zone has only made me appreciate the craft of it more.
